About College:

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY NAGPUR (IIITN), is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (PPP) in the country, set up with the objective of making available facilities for higher education, research and training in various fields of Information Technology. To address the challenges faced by the Indian IT industry and growth of the domestic IT market, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India intends to establish twenty Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT), on a Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) basis. The partners in setting up the IIITs would be the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Governments of the respective States where each IIIT will be established, and the industry. On the same line INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY NAGPUR (IIITN) is newly established Educational Institute by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India and few industry partners as Not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) Institution.

Course Name:

Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

Eligibility:

External candidates from Industry (EX-I)

Essential:

1.      Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology with Bachelor’s in Engineering/ Technology, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) / C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater that 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10 point scale. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) / C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater that 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10 point scale. AND

2.      Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CSE/ECE/IT and allied fields.

Note: In-house research facilities to be made available by the respective organization. Desirable: A valid GATE score is desired.

Other External Candidates (EX- O)

Essential:

Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology with Bachelor’s in Engineering/ Technology in ECE/CSE and allied disciplines, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) / C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater that 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10 point scale.

Desirable: A valid GATE score is desired

Externally Funded Project Staff (EX- P)

Essential:
Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology with Bachelor’s in Engineering/ Technology in ECE/CSE and allied disciplines, with First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) / C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater that 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10 point scale.

Desirable: A valid GATE score is desired.

A.     Please read the instructions given in the brochure carefully before filling up the application form.

B.      Application Form & Information Brochure is available on the Institute website.

C.     Applicants are required to submit the application OFFLINE by downloading it from the institute website. The duly filled application along with a DD of Rs. 1000/- (for GEN / OBC) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PwD) in favor of “The Director, IIIT Nagpur” can be sent to the “The Registrar, IIIT Nagpur, BSNL-RTTC Campus, beside Balaji Temple, near TV Tower, Seminary Hills, Nagpur, Maharashtra 440006” via post or in person on or before 14 September 2018 by 5:00 P.M.

D.     Superscribe the application envelope with “The Application for PhD in the stream of <Name of the Stream>”

E.      Employed candidates are required to submit the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the respective organization in the format available in the Annexure-B of Ph.D. brochure.

F.      Incomplete applications, applications without DD of Rs. 1000/- (for GEN / OBC) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PwD), and received after last date are liable to be rejected and will not be considered.

G.     No TA/ DA will be provided by the institute for attending written test and/or interview.
