Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida was established in the year 2001 and has been declared as a “Deemed to be University” under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956. The undergraduate programs of the University have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation of AICTE.

Admission Procedure

Satisfying the requirements of minimum qualifications as laid down in Performance in Interview for those who have qualified in GATE / SLET / UGC / CSIR (JRF) examinations. Performance in the PhD Entrance Test to be conducted by JIIT, Noida for all those who are not qualified in any of the examinations mentioned in and the subsequent Interview. Candidates are required to discuss their research interests and proposed research work at the time of Interview. JIIT would decide the number of Scholars to be admitted before the selections every time. Due attention will be given to the National Reservation Policy. Faculty members can be permitted to register directly. The students admitted to the PhD Program will be required to register themselves for the specific Program. The registration will be renewed every semester on satisfactory progress.

Eligibility:

Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a statutory university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates graduating can also apply but must prove their eligibility. Those not producing the eligibility certificates as per the date mentioned will be disqualified/de-registered irrespective of their having joined the program provisionally.

Selection Process

Applicants seeking admission are required to have qualified in CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT for the current session. Scores must be valid.

Shortlisted applicants (on the basis of relative merit from received applications) will be called for: Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Submission of application does not qualify the candidate for GD/PI and no refund of application fee is permissible on any account. The final selection will be based on the test score, language proficiency and performance in the GD & PI.

Criteria of year of Qualifying Examination

All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authority failing which, such provisional admission will stand cancelled. If the results in qualifying examinations are likely to be declared the candidates are advised to seek admission next year as no representations for extension of dates for any reason whatsoever, shall be entertained.

Criteria for Date of Birth

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1994 (Date of Birth as recorded in the high School/Secondary Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic) are eligible to apply for admission.
