About College:

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

MSc (Applied Nutrition) 2 years

Eligibility:

Candidates should have passed MBBS/B.Sc (Nutrition/ Home Science/ Nursing) or B.Sc. (with Biochemistry or Nutrition as one of the major subjects) from recognized universities.

List of eligible candidates & Entrance Test: The list of eligible candidates to appear for the test will be uploaded on NIN’s Website on 21^st June 2018. The candidates should download their hall tickets from NIN website from 4^th July 2018 onwards or from the exam venue, on exam date 2 hrs prior to exam time. The entrance test will be conducted in hydrabad, telangana on 08.07.2018 (sunday) at 11.00am. Results of the entrance test will be uploaded on the website on 27.07.2018. First counseling will be held at NIN on 14.08.2018 from 10.00am onwards. The classes will commence from 20.08.2018.

How to Apply:

Application forms: Application forms along with prospectus can be obtained I person from the head of the department (HoD), Extension & training division, National institute of Nutrition, Jamai-Osmania PO, Behind tarnaka Metro station, Hyderabad- 500007 or can be downloaded from the website www.ninindia.ord and www.knruhs.in. the applications will be available from 10:00am of 18.05.2018 to 5:00pm of 04.06.2018.

Last date for Submission: The duly filled in application, along with a demand draft for Rs. 3000/- (for OC/BC/OBC candidates) & Rs. 2700/- (for SC/ST Candidates) towards registration fee from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of “The director, NIN” payable at Hyderabad should be submitted to the Hod, extension and training division, national institute of nutrition, jamai-osmania po, Hyderabad- 500007, Telangana state on or before 5^th June 2018 by 5.00pm. Necessary enclosures specifying the quota claimed (state/central) should be submitted.

Applications received after the last date and time will be rejected, NIN or KNRUHS is not responsible for postal delay or loss in transit.

The Entrance test will be conducted in Hydrabad, Telangana on 08^th July 2018 (Sunday) at 11.00am
