About College:
Lingaya’s Institute of Management & Technology (LIMAT) was established in 1998 with approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a Statutory Body of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, in the memory of great freedom fighter Late Shri Gadde Lingaya who sacrificed his life for the freedom of his motherland. The Institution received the prestigious accreditation status from National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE in 2004. Accreditation is an academic audit, to judge the quality of academic standards, which is awarded only to selected technical institutions.

Eligibility:
(i) Ph. D in Engineering / Technology or related disciplines for admission to Ph. D Programs in Engineering/Technology or related disciplines, the candidate must have minimum 60% marks or minimum grade equivalent to 60% marks in M.E / M. Tech in related/allied disciplines.
(ii) Ph. D in Management, Pharmacy and Non-Engineering Disciplines For Ph. D Programs in Management, Pharmacy and NonEngineering fields, the candidate(s) must have minimum 55% marks or equivalent Grade in PG Degree in related /allied disciplines.
There may additional requirements by the individual Departments/Schools to cater to the specific needs which shall be notified in the advertisements from time to time.
PhD Admission Process:
a. PhD admission shall be done twice a year in an academic year viz July and January on the basis of a written test followed by interview. The exact dates for the same shall be notified on the Website of the University
b. Interested candidates shall apply against the advertisements in the prescribed application forms available from the University and on the website from time to time.
c. The Entrance Test shall be a qualifying test with qualifying marks of minimum 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific. The syllabus for the entrance examination is available at the Lingaya’s University website. which is updated from time to time.
d. Exemption from Entrance test: Candidates who have qualified in UGC/ CSIR (JRF) Examination/ SLET/ GATE / M .Phil (As a Regular Candidate from UGC Recognized University for admission to non-engineering disciplines), may not be required to appear for Entrance Test of the University. However, their appearance in the interview shall be mandatory for admission for such category candidates.
