Post Graduate Program in Digital Governance and Management (PGPDGM)

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for admission into the Program are as follows:

·         The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum 55% marks or equivalent) that has been recognized by an authorized body in India. The Bachelor's degree obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or its equivalent. (relaxation as permissible for deserving categories)

·         The applicant must not be more than 50 years of age as on 10th July 2019

·         The applicant needs to have a minimum of five years of full-time work experience at an officer or executive level or higher; as a professional or as an entrepreneur in any industry as on 10th July 2019. Part time work experience, clerical (non-officer/non-executive) experience and apprenticeship will not be considered as eligible work experience.

·         Applicants require a valid CAT, GMAT, GATE or GRE score to be considered for admission.

1.    CAT: Test date must fall on or between 10-07-2017 and 10-07-2019

2.    GATE: Test date must fall on or between 10-07-2016 and 10-07-2019

3.    GMAT/GRE: Test date must fall on or between 10-07-2014 and 10-07-2019

·         Alternatively, applicants also can choose to apply for PGPDGM by opting to take the IIMV Admission Test, to be conducted by IIMV, on a date and time to be announced in due course. The IIMV test will be computer based proctored test that the applicant can take from any device anywhere provided they have an internet connection and the device has a camera.

·         For the sake of clarity, it is emphasized that candidates may opt for only ONE of the tests, namely, CAT, GMAT, GATE, GRE or IIMV Test, to apply for PGPDGM. When once a particular Test is chosen, valid scores of that Test only (and not of others) are considered by IIMV.

Applicants are required to ensure that the following documents are submitted along with the application form. It is emphasized that the application form will be considered to have been completed only upon submitting of all of the following documents. Incomplete applications and/or applications not adhering to the requirements specified herein are liable for rejection.

Indian Maritime University - Visakhapatnam Campus was previously known as NSDRC. The IMU Visakhapatnam Campus emerges from the confluence of the centrally established Indian Maritime University at Chennai, and India's premier ship design and maritime research institution, the National Ship Design and Research Centre. Eligibility:
10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 60% average and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination.)

Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.

* There is Lateral Entry into 2nd and 3rd year of B. Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering).

Eligibility for Lateral Entry

For Admissions to 2nd Year of B. Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering)

(a) Candidates with 60% marks overall in 4-year Diploma in Ship Building Engineering from the Institute of Ship Building Technology, Goa [OR] 3-year Diploma in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from the AMET University, Chennai [OR] 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE, will be eligible for admissions by Lateral Entry into the second year against the available vacant seats at the beginning of the second year.

(b) The admissions will be made in the order of merit based on aggregate percentage of marks.

(c) The candidate should have completed the diploma within its stipulated duration of 4 years or 3 years as the case may be.

(d) Age limit – 18 to 26 years.

For Admissions to 3rd Year of B. Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering)

(a) Candidates with B.Sc (Ship Building & Repair), who have at least 60% marks overall and have completed the degree within the stipulated period of 3 years, will be eligible for admissions by Lateral Entry into the third year. The number of seats for this lateral entry are ‘20’ and available only in IMU Visakhapatnam Campus.

(b) The admissions will be made in the order of merit based on aggregate percentage of marks.

(c) Age limit – 19 to 27 years.

How to Apply:

Online Registration of Applicants with facility to upload photograph, scanned signature, scanned copy of the 10th Std Mark sheet as proof of Date of Birth, scanned copy of 12th Std/ Degree Certificate (wherever applicable), scanned copy of the SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/General-EWS certificate (wherever applicable) and other relevant certificates (wherever applicable). The candidates will be able to make payment for the Registration Fees Online, and download and print the filled-in application in standard formats. For Online Registration, applicants should visit the website of the Indian Maritime University and click on the CET June 2019 hyperlink.

Facility for applicants to download their Hall Tickets/ Admit Cards with the name of the Test Venue indicated.

Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM)

Eligibility:

The admission process seeks to identify the most promising candidates for the PGP batch of 2019 for IIMV. IIMV uses multiple parameters, namely academic performance in 10th standard examination, 12th standard examination and Bachelor’s degree examination, candidates’ scores in CAT, as well as performance in Personal Interview and Written Ability Test to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP program. Relevant work experience, if any, is also given weight in the selection. Evaluation by multiple criteria is also consistent with empirical research on recruitment and selection that shows greater efficacy of recruitment processes that uses multiple criteria. The CAT score, over and above being a selection criterion, is also used to establish the minimum level of proficiency that is expected from the candidate in respective areas as indicated by section wise minimum scores in the CAT. Multiple criteria are used to arrive at a composite score for every candidate, which is used to select candidates

Course Name:

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) [Areas of Specializations: Finance & Accounting, Production & Operations Management]

Eligibility:

Candidates should have

      A Master's Degree (bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern, followed by a master’s degree) or a Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in any discipline, with at least 55*# percent marks in the bachelor’s as well in the master’s degrees.

(OR)

      A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50*# percent marks and B.Com/Degree with 55* percent marks

(OR)

      A 4 year / 8 semesters Bachelor's degree (10+2+4 pattern) with atleast 6.5 CGPAor equivalent.

*The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ institution. If any University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.

# Five percent marks relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.

The above qualification should be from any of the Universities, or other educational institutions, incorporated by an act of the Parliament or State legislature in India; or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956; or, recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying Programmes that would make them eligible can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by July 31, 2019** from the Principal / Head of the Department / Registrar or Director of the University / Institute (issued on or before July 31 ,2019)** stating that they have appeared for the examinations (including practical examinations) in all the subjects required for obtaining the Master's / Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and the certificate of having passed the Master's / Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by Principal / Registrar of their college / Institute. The deadline for submission of marks sheet and the Certificate is December 31, 2019**. Please note that those candidates who have applied on the basis of their Master's degree will have to meet the 55% marks stipulation, and those who have applied on the basis of their bachelor's degree (10+2+4 pattern) will have to meet the 6.5 CGPA or equivalent stipulation. Non-fulfillment of these conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Selection

Based on the information provided by the applicants, selected candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective areas) and called to Visakhapatnam for an interview (see FPM 2019 Areawise Admissions Process for details).

Interviews are expected to be held in the first week of May 2019**.

Candidates will be admitted to the programme based on a combination of multiple parameters, as specified by the respective areas. Parameters may include applicant's performance in GMAT, GRE, CAT, GATE, JRF (NET) score, past academic performance, interview performance etc.

Candidates selected for admission are required to attend an Orientation and Preparatory Programme which is expected to be scheduled during last week of June 2019**. Registration for the programme will be in the last week of June 2019**.
