National Power Training Institute (NPTI), an ISO 9001 ISO 14001 organization, is a National Apex body for Training and Human Resources Development in Power Sector with its Corporate Office at Faridabad. Course Description:

Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering (PDTPPE)

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering PDTPPE in National Power Training Institute, NPTI, New Delhi

Three years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Control and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Technical Board with minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks.

Selection Procedure: Merit (% of marks in diploma)

Age Limit: 27 years.

Total Seats: 60 (Sixty), Reservation for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/OBC and other categories is applicable as per Govt, norms. The seats may be increased as per the discretion of NPTI, 25% seats are reserved for candidates sponsored from power utilities.

Placement: NPTI maintains close linkage with power utilities for employment of these trained engineers. However NPTI does not have any commitment for placements. The candidates who are placed through campus efforts shall have to pay placement charges as applicable. Sponsored candidates shall not be allowed for campus placements.

Fees:   For   non-sponsored   candidates Rs. 75000/- (in two installments). For candidates sponsored   from   SEBs/PSUs/Private   Utilities Rs. 1, 00,000/- payable in lump-sum at the time of admission. There is no fee concession for any category of candidates. Rs. 3100/- as transport charges for visit to power stations and industries and refundable security of Rs. 2000/- are payable separately at the time of admission.
