GGS Indraprastha University IPU CET 2017 Notification and dates have been announced. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi has invited applications from eligible candidates for appearing in Common Entrance Test(IPU CET 2017), the result of which will be considered for admission to following listed programmes of its centres for the academic year 2017-18
About IPU CET: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) conducts IPU CET, a common entrance exam for eligible candidates to avail admissions in the various courses offered by the university.

The admissions to the programmes of studies in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) are primarily through common entrance tests (CET) conducted by the University or on merit of the qualifying degrees.

IPU CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must read the IPU CET 2017 eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for the exam.

Here are the GGSIPU-CET-2017 Eligibility requirements:

Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board

A minimum aggregate of 55% in class 12th is a prerequisite, but the candidate must have passed all subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) separately

The candidates must have passed English subject (core, elective or functional)

They should be 21 years old as on the date of examination

The candidates appearing in Class 12th exam in 2017 are eligible to apply provided that they should be able to meet the eligibility criteria at the time of IPU-CET counseling.
The appearing candidates are required to present the 12th class mark sheets at the time of counseling

Age Limit

(As on 01st August 2017 candidate should not be more than)

i) For all Undergraduate Programmes where entry qualification is 12th pass other than MBBS, BDS - 21st years

ii) For MBBS, BDS - 35 years

iii) For all other Post Graduate Programs where entry qualification is graduation - 45 years

iv) Bachelor of Vocation - 45 year

Note

1. Candidate should be not less than 17 years as on 31st December 2017 for BHMS, BAMS, MBBS, BDS Program

2. For MPH (FE) Programme, upper age limit is 45 years for in service candidates and 35 years for direct candidates, as in August 2017

3. For BHMS candidates, the candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as in December 2017

4. For Bachelor of Vocation Programmes the candidate should not be less than 16 years in December 2017

5. For SC, ST, OBC category candidates for MBBS,BDS CET, a relaxation of 5 years shall be granted on the maximum age specified.

IPU CET 2017 Admit Card

All candidates must possess their IPU CET 2017 Admit Card while appearing for the entrance test

Admit card can be downloaded from the university website just 7 days prior to the CET exam date

Applicants can download IPU CET 2017 Hall Ticket by using their login and password. The applicants must carry two hard copies of the admit card, with 2 passport photographs on it, on the day of the exam

Candidates must preserve the Admit Card of IPU CET 2017 till the time of counselling, admission

IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern

Candidates must read the exam pattern of IPU CET 2017 to know about various aspects of the exam and question paper such as number, type and weightage of the questions, exam duration and marking scheme. IPU CET 2017 Exam pattern is given below:

The test will be comprised of total 150 questions

The questions are asked from the syllabus of class 11th and 12th

The total time for the entrance test will be 150 minutes

For B.Tech the question will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Maths

There is equal weightage for all the three subjects

The questions will be of objective type having four answers

There will be negative marking for the wrong answers

Four marks will be given for a correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

The entrance exam for B.Tech will be conducted in first week of May 2017 where as the entrance exam for B.Tech (Biotechnology) will be conducted in third week of May 2017

Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online, latest by last week of March 2017

How to Apply:

IPU CET 2017 Application Form

To apply for the exam and admission process, the candidates will be required to fill IPU CET 2017 Application Form. The forms could be obtained from the official website of IP University, from last week of March 2017

Procedure to Fill Online Application Forms: Fill the details and click on Next to proceed. Use Mouse to move between fields for entry of data instead of using Tab Key. Fields marked with are mandatory. Once a candidate has submitted his,her details, they cannot edit the same and have to re register in case they need to change any personal information.

General Instructions

The detailed instructions about the online counselling, User Manual, FAQs shall be available on the University website www.ipu.ac.in & www.ipuadmissions.nic.in. Candidates are advised to go through the details thoroughly at these sites before registration. This information shall be available before the start of the online counselling. Aspirants, candidates should keep seeing the University website(s) in this regard.

The candidates must read the conditions of eligibility as given in the Admission Brochure carefully and must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for admission in various programmes before registering online for admission and submitting the fees

Submission of Counselling Participation Fee

Candidate has to deposit a nonrefundable Rs.1000,- plus charges as applicable, as one time (non refundable) Counselling Participation Fee, as per the schedule for each CET Code

For depositing the Counselling Participation Fee, the candidate has to visit the GGSIP University admission website www.ipuadmissions.nic.in and select the option for “payment of counselling participation fee" enters CET details viz CET Roll No, Date of Birth and Mobile Number. After submission of the details as mentioned in para 2 the candidate will get two options of payment:

i) Cash payment (challan will be generated and fee may be deposited through cash in any branch of Indian Bank)

ii) Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment on the website www.ipuadmissions.nic.in and must take the printout of online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details, to be retained for all future reference. In case of payment of fee through Challan, the candidate must retain the copy of the Challan after depositing the fees

Important Note: Common Entrance Test (CET) will be held for all regular programmes run in University Schools of Study and affiliated colleges

Eligibility Criteria: 

He, She has passed qualifying examination as under:

a.     The Higher Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam after a period of 12 years study,  the last two years of study comprising of Physics,  Chemistry & Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education; (or)

b.     The intermediate exam in Science of an Indian University, Board or other recognized examining body with Physics,  Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; (or)

c.      The Pre-professional, pre-medical exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology,  after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-university or an equivalent exam; the pre-professional, premedical examination shall include a practical test in Physics,  Chemistry and Biology and English as compulsory subject; (or)

d.     The first year of the three year degree course of a recognized university with Physics,  Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the exam is a University Examination and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course; (or)

e.     B.Sc exam of an Indian University,  provided that he, she has passed the B.Sc exam with not less than two of the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he, she has passed the earlier qualifying exam with the following subjects: Physics,  Chemistry and Biology and English; (or)

f.       Any other exam which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate Science exam of an Indian University, Board, taking Physics,  Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in each of these subjects and English

Age Limit:

Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or before 31st December 2015 of the corresponding year

Candidates should have studied during his, her 10+1 and 10+2 examination or other qualifying examination in place of 10+2, as listed in 4 (A) (i) (a) to (f) above,  as candidate from a recognized institution situated in the State of Punjab only except for the exemptions wherever applicable

Reservation:

a.     For Govt., University College: The reservation in the State quota seats in Govt. Institutions in various categories for admission to the under Graduate Para Medical Courses will be as under:

(i) SC - 25%; (ii) BC (Note: The backward class certificate must be as per the latest instructions of the Govt. of Punjab): 05%; (iii) Backward Area, Border Area (1% each): 02%; (iv) PH (Orthopaedically Handicapped (disability 50% to 70% ) to be determined at the time of counseling by a duly constituted board of the specialty of Orthopaedics): 03%; (v) Sports Persons (Credit will be given for the sports achievements made during 10+1, 10+2 classes only): 01% (vi) Wards of terrorist, riot affected persons (in order of preference to the exclusion of next category): 01%

b.     Private Colleges: The institutions who are allowed to admit only girls will obey the Govt orders; the reservation in private institutes (in Govt, Mgmt quota seats) will be as under:

EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Examination) 2015 is a state level examination for those seeking the admission into UG courses conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad on the behalf of the state council of technical education. The rank will be provided on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in EAMCET 2015 examination for admissions. The minimum qualifying marks will be 25% of the total marks for General and OBCs and there is no criterion for minimum qualifying score for SC and ST candidates. The EAMCET examination held every year in the Andhra Pradesh (AP) State. From this year Telangana will conduct it separate TS EAMCET 2015 examination. Eligibility:

The JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) will conduct the EAMCET 2015 examination on the behalf of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State Council of Technical Education. The Council has decided the minimum eligibility to appear in EAMCET 2015. Before filling the form, the candidates must have to check their eligibility whether it is meeting with the norms. The minimum eligibility criterion is as the following:

Ø       The candidates must have completed their 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2015.

Ø       The candidates must belong to the Andhra Pradesh state.

Ø       The candidates must be of Indian Nationality, Overseas Citizen of India – OCI (card holder) or person of India Origin (POI).

Ø       The candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology with minimum 45% marks for General or 40% marks for the reserved categories to meet the eligibility of EAMCET 2015.

Ø       The candidates those appearing in the 10+2 or its equivalent examinations, will also eligible to appear in EAMCET 2015. They should have to show their passing certificate at the time of admission.

How to Apply:

Application Form

The EAMCET 2015 application form has been available online on the official website from 28th February 2015. The aspirants may fill the form only via online mode. No other mode of application will be acceptable except online. First, the aspirants shall have to register for application form then they will be eligible to fill the form via online mode. The aspirants must have to feed the required details in the application form. After the completion of application form filling process, one need to go for submission of the application form fee also via online through debit card/ credit card/ Mee Seva online centre/ AP online centre. The application fee is Rs. 250/- for engineering applications and Rs. 250/- for agriculture and medical applications. The aspirants wish to appear in all examinations, must have to pay application fees as Rs. 500/- for engineering, agriculture and medical examinations. The candidates may pay the application fees by sending a DD along with the filled application form to the address given as mentioned below. After the completion of online applications, the aspirants will have to submit the application form to the Convener or to the regional coordinator by registered post at the following address:

Examination Pattern

The AP EAMCET 2015 examination will be held on the 10th May 2015 and the TS EAMCET 2015 examination will be held on the 14th May 2015 in two shifts as 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. the exam will be comprised in two papers, as one for engineering aspirants and other for agriculture and medical aspirants. Both papers will be asked separately in 160 objective type questions of 3 hours duration. There is no clause for negative marking. Each correct answer will be rewarded with one mark. The examinations will be asked in two languages as English and Telugu. Only at the Hyderabad centre, there will be liberty to choose the Urdu language in EAMCET 2015. In Each question paper there will be 40 questions based on Physics, 40 questions based on Chemistry and 80 questions based on Mathematics subject. All candidates are advised to carry the EAMCET 2015 admit card along with them.

EAMCET 2015 Syllabus

EAMCET syllabus will include in three major subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates should have a thorough knowledge in order to crack the EAMCET 2015.

Physics syllabus

The topics from Physics, which can be asked in EAMCET 2015 examinations, will be as physics world, units and measurements, elements of vectors, dynamics and kinematics, centre of mass, frictions and collisions, elasticity, gravitation and fluid mechanics.

Chemistry syllabus

The chemistry will cover the topics as atomic structure, classification of elements, chemical bonding, molecular structure, states of matters, periodicity in properties, solutions and electrochemistry.

Mathematics syllabus

The main topics which will include in mathematics syllabus will be as numbers, trigonometry, algebra, probability, vector algebra, calculus, and co-ordinate geometry.

Scholarship Scheme: Norms
