About College:

Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar is one of the eight new IITs set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, to expand the reach and enhance the quality of technical education in the country. This institute is committed to providing state-of-the-art technical education in a variety of fields and also for facilitating transmission of knowledge in keeping with latest developments in pedagogy. These two areas of focus will enable students to gain exposure to recent trends in their chosen domains of study and gain practical experience through a wide variety of activities the institute facilitates in its own campus and arranges for in collaboration with industry and other institutes. At present, the institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) programme in the following disciplines: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. This programme is spread over a period of eight semesters and the institute admits forty students in each branch, selected through IIT Joint Entrance Examination conducted every year. In addition, the institute now offers doctoral programme in several disciplines.

DAV University, Jalandhar has announced the exam dates for DAV University Entrance cum Scholarship Test (DAVUET), which will be conducted in April 2017. The DAVUET will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017.

DAVUET is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) honors in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology, Bachelor of commerce (B.Com),Mater of commerce (M.com),Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs for the session 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for DAVUET 2017:

For B.Tech./B.Sc/B.Com/BBA Programs:

Candidate who has passed 10+2 or any other equivalent examination with minimum 55% aggregate of marks in respective are eligible to apply.

A candidate who is appearing or has appeared in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th standard in 2017, is eligible to appear in the test.

For M.Com./MBA Programs: Candidate who has passed or appearing for Bachelors’ degree are also eligible to apply.

Application Procedure for DAVUET 2017:

Candidates can applyonline.

Candidate may also get the registration form from the Principal of the opted examination centre by paying Rs. 200/-.

Mode of payment can be paid through cash or multicity cheque or demand draft.

The fee can also be deposited through Multicity cheque/DD of Rs 200/-drawn in favour of “Principal, (fill in respective examination centre) payable at the respective city.

Paper Pattern for DAVUET 2017: The question paper shall be based on CBSE syllabi of 10+1 and 10+2.

Question paper will be in English language only and questions will be of multiple choices (MCQ) type.

Each question will have 4choices out of which only one correct answer has to be chosen and the appropriate circle is to be shaded on the provided OMR sheet.

Each question will carry one mark.

Candidate must obtain ME, M.Tech, M.Phil, MCA, M.Sc, MA, MBA, CA or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale or 55% marks in aggregate where marks are awarded or NET (UGC, CSIR) qualified.

Candidates with BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent with excellent academic record (minimum CGPA of 9.00 on 10 point scale or 80% marks in aggregate) may be considered for admission.

Relaxation in CGPA to 7.00 on a 10 -point scale or in marks to 65% for the minimum eligibility conditions may be permitted for candidates with a BE, B.Tech degree or equivalent who have a minimum of 3 years of professional and/or research experience in the area in which the admission is sought. 

However, candidates admitted with BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification will be admitted for PhD after successful completion of eight Masters level courses as suggested by the PhD Admission Committee of concerned Department/School, within a period of two years from the date of admission. 

A minimum CGPA of 6.00 on a 10- point scale should be earned in the courses prescribed by the concerned Department/School.

Admission procedure

Candidates shall be admitted on the basis of merit of Entrance Test and Interview to be conducted by the University. 

The candidates who secure minimum of 20% marks in the written exam shall only be called for Interview. 

During interview, a candidate is required to indicate area of research. 

Relaxation for appearing in the Entrance Test may be given by the University to those candidates who have qualified UGC, CSIR (JRF).

About College:

Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed. The Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab. On trifurcation of Punjab in November 1966, HaryanaAgricultural University was carved out of PAU by an Act of Parliament in February 1970. Later, in July 1970, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidalya was established.  In 2006 the College of Veterinary Science was upgraded to become Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU) atLudhiana. The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is located in Ludhiana city (Punjab State) in north-west India at a distance of 316 km from New Delhi. It is well connected by road and rail with the national capital. Situated on the Ludhiana - Ferozepur Road, the University covers an area of 1510 acres on its main campus and 4615 acres at the regional research stations. Modeled on the pattern of land grant colleges in U.S.A., the PAU performs the integrated functions of teaching, research and extension in agriculture, agricultural engineering, home science and allied disciplines. About College:

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.
