AMAR JYOTI CHARITABLE TRUST Amar Jyoti is a voluntary organization rendering rehabilitative services to persons with disabilities through integrated education, medical care, vocational training, child guidance and self-employment since 1981.  It has a branch rendering similar services for the last 25 years in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). With the pioneering concept of integration and inclusion, Amar Jyoti is running a school in Delhi and Gwalior where over 500 and 300 children, respectively, with and without disability are studying together in equal number. 

In addition to OPD patients medical care and rehabilitative services are provided free of cost to all school children, economically weaker sections of the society and members of the Amar Jyoti staff. The institution has organized 5 National Integrated Sports Meet. Amar Jyoti also introduced Abilympics – Olympics of abilities for persons with disabilities in India.  As a nodal agency of National Abilympic, Association of India it co-ordinates the Regional, National and International Abilympics. India hosted the 6th International Abilympics in 2003. Amar Jyoti is running a community based rehabilitation project in 10 urban slums of East Delhi where all necessary services for rehabilitation are provided. 

The Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy (affiliated to University of Delhi) conducts a 4 ½  year Bachelor of Physiotherapy program (Inclusive of six month Internship).The curriculum has been developed keeping in mind an ever increasing knowledge base that is anchored in scientific evidence . Teaching at the Institute is problem-based and our highly qualified and clinically oriented faculty uses a variety of contemporary pedagogic strategies that include a judicious mix of didactic and laboratory based instructional technique.

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) [Specialization in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Neurological Physiotherapy]

To appear in the Entrance examination for admission to the Master of Physiotherapy, candidates should have fulfilled atleast ONE of the following conditions:

a. Successful completion of an undergraduate physiotherapy degree (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT) from a recognized college/institute/university within India of not less than 4½ years duration (including 6 months of internship) with 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NC/Orthopedically Disabled) in their university exams. Candidates who have completed 3 ½ years course from recognise collage / institute / collage/ or university and an additional bridge course of one (1) year will be considered equivalent to 4 ½ years course.

b. An undergraduate physiotherapy qualification (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT etc.) of 3 ½ years duration from a recognized college/institute/university plus at least ten (10) years of work experience.

c. Registration with Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy is mandatory

Candidates who have applied for registration will have to:

1) Provide a receipt issued by DCPTOT.

2) Provide registration certificate at the time of Counselling.

SC/ST/OBC - NC CANDIDATES:

A Scheduled Caste/Tribe/Other Backward Class - Non creamy layer candidate while applying for admission will be required to submit a certificate that establishes that he/she belongs to that particular category from a competent authority, as listed below along with the application form.

Note: OBC category candidate should have OBC-NC certificate.

National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as ‘Malaria Research Centre’, which was renamed as ‘National Institute of Malaria Research’ in November 2005. Highly enthusiastic students from almost any branch of Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Entomology /Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Chemistry/Physics/Biophysics/Mathematics/Computer Science/Computational biology/ Biostatics or allied subjects with a particular interest in Biology. M Sc, M.Tech, B.Tech, B.Pharm/B.E./MBBS/MD in Biological Sciences or other branches with a particular interest in Biology with Malaria Research, with at least 60 percent (or equal in CGPA) can also apply ( or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA), for general and OBC category, and 55% for SC/ST/Differently-abled candidate in aggregate (or equivalent grade). In case CGPA is not based on 10- point scale candidate should provide a statement issued by the respective University indicating conversion of CGPA to percentage. Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for qualifying examination in the academic year 2020 are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates will have to submit the proof of qualifying marks either at the time of interview or if selected at the time of admission. Kindly note that registration for PhD degree at AcSIR will happen only after fulfilling the eligibility criteria. In exceptional cases, students may be enrolled (if recommended by Director) in case extramural project funding is available or else the candidates must have one of the following fellowships:

AGE LIMIT:

Upper age limit is 28 years as on 10th Feb 2020 for General Category. Age relaxation of up to 5 years (33 years) for SC/ST/Differently Abled/Women candidates and up to 3 years (31 years) for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will be granted.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Eligibility:

The candidate must have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree securing at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Disabled (PwD)). Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor’s / Post Graduate Degree Examinations can apply, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria when their results are declared.

Admission Procedure

All eligible candidates who apply for the programme would be required to appear for one of the following written test(s):

·         Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs); or

·         AUD MBA Entrance Test conducted by AUD

Candidate can also apply through both modes – in such a case, that mode will be considered where the candidate ranks higher in the merit list.

The AUD MBA Entrance Test will consist of 90 multiple choice questions (MCQs) on verbal ability and quantitative ability. 4 marks will be awarded for a correct answer, negative marking will there i.e. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

All students (irrespective of the mode they choose – CAT or AUD entrance exam) will be required to take the AUD MBA Aptitude and General Awareness test (AGAT 2020). This test will comprise of 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) on Analytical Ability and General Awareness. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, negative marking will there i.e. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. 

The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview and Essay Writing. The essay writing will take place on the day of the personal interview – candidates will be given a topic and will be asked to write an essay of 500 words on the same. The duration of essay writing will be 45 minutes.

The final merit list shall be prepared using the weightage average of marks obtained in the AUD the stage 2 AUD MBA Aptitude and General Awareness test (AGAT 2020-60% weightage), personal interview (25% weightage) and essay writing (10% weightage). An additional 5% weightage will be given for candidates with full time work experience of at least 1 year.
