Admission will be made through counseling. The dates of counseling will be declared later.

The Admission test paper shall consist of multiple choice questions of 200 marks. The questions shall comprise of language ability, legal reasoning, general knowledge, general science and social studies. The final result will be workout on the basis of marks obtained in written test. In case of equal marks the admission will be given on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 (XII) examination. Sample question paper is available on the website.

Test will be held on 23rd September, 2018 from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon at Rajasthan University Campus, Jaipur.

Eligibility:

10+2 (XII) with atleast 50% marks (for SC/ST 45%)

Reservation: As per university/State Government rules.

Submission: Downloaded application form must be duly filled and to be submitted in the Department of Law, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur alongwith a D.D. of Rs. 2000/- drawn in the favour of “Convener, RULET, University of Rajasthan” Payable at Jaipur between 8.00am to 1.00pm incomplete forms without entrance fee will not be entertained. Forms received after 4.00pm on September 13, 2018 onwards shall be rejected without any correspondence.

Documents Attached: The Photocopy of mark sheet of XII examination must be enclosed with application form.

Document of reservation must be submitted alongwith hard copy of application form. If the document of reservation is not submitted, he/she will be considered as a general category candidate.

Government of Kerala Entrance Examination for admission to BPharm through Lateral Entry- 2018

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to BPharm Course [through Lateral Entry] for the year, 2018 in the Government and Private Self financing Colleges.       

Eligibility:

(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin.

(ii) Academic qualifications: Candidates should have studied Diploma in Pharmacy (Under Education Regulations 1991 of Pharmacy Council of India) in an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy examination conducted by the State Board of D Pharm Examinations or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for the D. Pharm part I and D. Pharm II Examinations.

(iii) Candidates should have obtained registration with Pharmacy Council and the registration certificate is to be produced at the time counseling.

(iv) Age: There is no upper age limit for admission to the course.

Selection on the basis of Entrance Examination: Selection of candidates for B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) course 2018 will be made on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, [CEE] at Thiruvananthapuram on 09/09/2018 (Sunday). The examination will consist of one Paper, of two hours duration and will have 120 Objective Type (Multiple Choice) Questions.

How to Apply:

Submission of Applications and Application Fee: All candidates seeking admission to B.Pharm (Lateral entry) course 2018 can apply in the Online application form available from 14.08.2018 provided in the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and then remit the required fee by way of online payment or by way of e-challan available during the submission of online application. Payment through e-challan can be made in cash at Head post offices in Kerala. After remitting the required application fee upload photo and signature of the candidates and all necessary certificates /Documents. No need to send printout of the application or any documents to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

Application Fee for General Candidates is Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight hundred only). In the case of SC candidates is Rs.400- (Rupees Four hundred only). ST Candidates are exempted from the payment of application fee. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded. Application form will not be available in the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations or office of the DME. The Prospectus can be downloaded from the website.

Last date and time for online submission of application: All candidates seeking admission to the course should submit the online application along with uploaded Certificates/Documents mentioned in clause 7.3.5 of the prospectus before 5 pm of 31/08/2018. Late, defective and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. Candidates have to take a printout of the online application form for future reference.

Admit Cards: Admit cards for the candidates whose Applications have been accepted will be provided in the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations from 03/09/2018

Entrance Examination: The scheme of entrance examination, syllabus and the instructions to the candidates are available in clause 8 of the “Prospectus for Admission to B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) course 2018 approved by Government of Kerala.

Rank List: CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination and publish the Rank list of candidates as per the provisions in clause 10 of the Prospectus for Admission to B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) course 2018 approved by Government of Kerala.

Candidates will be allowed, neither to include any information in the application form nor to submit any certificates/Documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application.

IIT JAM 2019 - IIT Kharagpur is set to conduct JAM 2019 on 10th February 2019. JAM also known as Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. What is the IIT JAM 2019?

Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test - IIT JAM 2019 invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to Integrated PhD Degree Programs at IIS Bangalore & M.Sc. (2 Years), Joint M.Sc.-PhD, M.Sc.- PhD Dual Degree, M.Sc.- M.Tech. M.Sc.-M.S. (Research)/PhD Dual Degree and Other Post - Bachelor's Degree Programs for the academic year 2019

The main objective of JAM is to revive and consoli­date ‘Science’ as a career option for bright students from across the country and provide them a single step opportunity for admission to some of the postgraduate programs offered at the IITs

IIT JAM 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

·         The candidates who qualify in JAM 2019 shall have to fulfill the following Eligibility Requirements (ERs) for admissions to IITs

·         All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelor’s degree

·         In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL) category candidates, and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates

·         If CGPA/CPI is on a different scale, it would be linearly mapped to a scale on 10. For Candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute(s). Proof of having passed the Qualifying Degree with the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQ) as specified by the Admitting Institute should be submitted by 30th September 2019

·         At the time of admission, all admitted candidates will have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form. At the time of admission, the admitted candidates may also have to undergo a Physical Fitness test by a medical board constituted by the Admitting Institute

·         In case a candidate is not found physically fit to pursue his/her chosen course of study, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled

Note:

·         It will entirely be the responsibility of the Candidate to prove that he/she satisfies the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements (ERs) for Admission

·         The Admitting Institute has the right to cancel, at any stage, the admission of a candidate who is found to have been admitted to a course to which he/she is not entitled, being unqualified or ineligible in accordance with the rules and regulations in force

Admission Procedure

·         Only candidates who qualify in JAM 2019 (whose names appear in the Merit List) will be eligible to apply for admission to any of the academic programs available at IITs (refer to Appendices-I & II of this Information Brochure)

·         Based on the test paper(s) qualified, an applicant can apply to one or more academic programs covered under that test paper(s), subject to fulfillment of the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and the Eligibility Requirements (ERs) of the Admitting Institutes

·         For the academic session 2019-20, the following admission procedure shall be followed for all the Programs at IITs covered under JAM 2019. Candidates are also advised to refer to the JAM 2019 website for latest updates

·         After JAM 2019 results are announced, a qualified candidate should have to apply ONLINE only using the prescribed Admission Form available at JAM 2019 website http://jam.iitkgp.ac.in, irrespective of IITs where the admission is sought

·         The period for submission of online Admission Form is 11th April2019 to 24th April2019.

Exam Pattern of Test Papers

·         The JAM 2019 Exam for all the seven test papers will be carried out as Online Computer Based Test (CBT) where the candidates will be shown the questions in a random sequence on a computer screen

·         For all the seven test papers, the duration of the exam will be of 3 hours. The medium for all the test papers will be English only. There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks

·         The entire paper will be divided into three sections, A, B and C. All sections are compulsory. Questions in each section will be of different types as given below:

·         Section-A contains a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) involving 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer. Candidates can mark the answer by clicking the choice

·         Section-B contains a total of 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each. Each MSQ is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more than one choice(s) is correct out of the four given choices

·         Section-C contains a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions involving 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each. No choices will be shown for these types of questions.

·         Mobile phones or any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside examination hall. Charts, graph sheets, and tables are also NOT allowed inside the examination hall.

Test Schedule

·         The JAM 2019 online Exam will be held on 10th February 2019 (Sunday) in two sessions as Computer Based Test (CBT). The schedule for different Test Papers of JAM 2019 is given in below

·         Session 1 will include Biological Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. Session II will include Mathematical Statistics, Biotechnology, Chemistry and Geology

·         JAM 2019 Exam will be conducted for the seven test papers, namely: Biological Sciences (BL), Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH)

·         The facility for Online Registration and Application will be available through the website from 01st September 2018

·         A candidate has to first register on JOAPS website, by providing his/her name, a valid E-mail address, a working mobile number and a password.

·         The candidate must give an E-mail address that he/she uses and checks frequently, as all communication to the candidate from JAM 2019 will be sent to this E-mail address. The candidate must not use somebody else's E-mail address and only one candidate can be registered with one E-mail address.

General Instruction

·         JAM 2019 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). Candidates seeking admission to the academic programmes covered under JAM 2019 need to appear in JAM 2019. There is no age restriction.

·         JAM 2019 Examination will be held on 10th February 2019 (Sunday) as a Computer Based ONLINE Examination

·         For admission, foreign nationals are required to satisfy the rules and regulations of the admitting Institute(s) pertaining to foreign students. For further details, they are advised to contact the concerned Admitting Institute(s)

·         To apply for admission to a desired program, a candidate is required to qualify in the relevant Test Paper and also satisfy the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements (ERs) of the respective Academic Program

·         Candidates who have either appeared or are due to appear in the final exam of their qualifying degree in 2019 are also eligible to appear in JAM 2019. By qualifying in JAM 2019, candidates can apply for a provisional admission subject to the condition that: (a) all parts of their final exam shall be completed by the date of registration of the Admitting Institute, and (b) proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility, as specified by the Admitting Institute, should be submitted by 30th September 2019

·         On the basis of performance in JAM 2019, for each test paper, separate merit lists will be prepared for General (GEN), OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), SC, ST, and Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates

·         In all matters concerning JAM 2019, the decision of the Organizing Institute or the Organizing Chairman, JAM 2019 will be final and binding on all the applicants

Admit Card

·         An Admit Card, bearing the Candidate’s Name, Registration No., Photograph, Signature and Name(s) and Code(s) of the Test Paper(s) applied, along with the Name and Address of the Test Centre allotted, will be available for download from JOAPS website from 04th January 2019 until the Exam Date

·         Admit Cards will not be sent by post/Email

·         Candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, the Candidate should inform the Organizing Chairperson, JAM 2019, IIT Kharagpur immediately

·         A printout of the downloaded Admit Card must be brought to the Test Centre along with the original and valid photo identification

Rank List

·         Rank List For each test paper in JAM 2019, an All India Rank (AIR) will be assigned to all the appeared candidates based on their performance in the test paper.

Merit List

·         The results (merit lists) will be declared on 20th March 2019 (Wednesday)

·         The results will be available on the website http://jam.iitkgp.ac.in. For each test paper, an All India Merit list will be prepared based on AIR

·         The number of candidates included in the All India Merit List will depend on the total number of seats available in each category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD) in a given subject

Selection Procedure

Selection of students is made by the selection committee. Admissions are administered centrally from Pune campus.

Applications are scrutinised, and eligibility is established on the basis of documents submitted Eligible candidates will be invited to appear for the selection procedure, which comprises of NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) (or, other entrance exams as specified below), Personal Interview (PI) and Rating of Application (RA). The details are as follows:

·         NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) - 150 marks

1.      Quantitative and Analytical Ability - 60 marks

2.      Data Interpretation - 30 marks

3.      Verbal and General Ability - 60 marks

OR, Candidate may also submit valid CAT/GATE/GMAT/CMAT scores secured

·         Personal Interview (PI) - 50 marks

·         Rating of Application (RA) - 50 marks

The RA is calculated on the basis of weighted scores of the cumulative academic performance along with work experience (wherever applicable) obtained from the documents submitted to NICMAR by the candidates. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit. The merit list is drawn on the basis of performance in NCAT/CAT/GATE/GMAT/CMAT, PI and RA. Admission offer letters are issued in the order of merit. Candidate's preference of Program/Campus will be considered, but the allotment will be done at the sole discretion of the admission dept., NICMAR

Admission under Management Quota

The Institute has the policy of admitting a limited number of students under sponsored category, not exceeding 5% of the total students admitted.

Candidates to be considered for admission under sponsored category must fulfil the following requirements:

Management Aptitude Test (MAT 2018) is the prestigious management entrance exam which acts as a gateway for admission to MBA/PGDM courses. It is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). Eligibility:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ institution. If any University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate. IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process.

RESERVATIONS:

As per the legal requirements, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, 27% of seats for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC), and 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD). As defined in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016), “person with benchmark disability” means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority.

“Specified Disability” means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the RPwD Act 2016. The categories of disability are:

a)     blindness and low vision,

b)     deaf and hard of hearing,

c)     locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy,

d)     autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness, and

e)     multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d)

f)       Other 'specified disabilities' mentioned in 'The Schedule' of the RPwD Act 2016.

For the purpose of being considered for reservations, the applicable Central Government list as on the last date of CAT registration shall be binding. No subsequent changes will be effective for CAT 2018 and any subsequent selection process of the IIMs.

The candidates belonging to the reserved categories need to also note the eligibility requirements carefully before applying. It should be noted that while it is the endeavor of IIMs that the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/NC-OBC categories join the programme in proportionsmandated by the law, they have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria and a certain minimum level of performance to be considered for the admission process. The candidates should read the updated description of selection process followed by each IIM on their respective websites.

No change in the category will be entertained after CAT registration; hence, the applicants are advised to give attention while registering.

How to Apply:

PAYMENT OF CAT REGISTRATION FEE:

·         Rs. 950 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.

·         Rs.1900 for all other categories of candidates.

Please note that a candidate needs to pay registration fee only once, irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. SC, ST and PwD candidates must upload a copy of their SC/ST/PwD certificates at the time of registration. Fee once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

REGISTRATION FOR CAT:

The registration window opens on 8th August, 2018 and will close at 5:00 p.m. on 19th September, 2018. The details will be available in the registration guide. At the time of registration, the candidates have to select any four Test Cities as per their preference from the drop down menu. After the last date of registration, candidates will be allotted one among the four preferred cities subject to availability. In the rare case that a candidate is not allotted any of the preferred cities, he/she will be allotted a nearby city. The candidates can download the admit cards from 24th October, 2018 till 25th November, 2018.

TEST CENTRES

CAT will be conducted in centers spread across around 147 test cities. Test cities will be mentioned in CAT website and the name of the test centre will be indicated in the Admit Card. IIMs reserve the right to change or cancel any test centre / city and / or change the test time and date at their own discretion.

CAT 2018 SCORE

Candidates' CAT 2018 score card will be made accessible at the CAT website. Candidates may also be intimated individually by SMS. The CAT results are likely be declared by second week of January, 2019. CAT 2018 score is valid only till December 31, 2019 and will accordingly be accessible on the website. Thereafter, no queries related to issuance of CAT 2018 score cards will be entertained.

ADMISSION PROCESS:

Please note that each IIM is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-offs and relative weights) and follow different selection processes. Performance in CAT 2018 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process. IIMs may also use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short-listing of candidates at various stages of the selection process. DISCLAIMER

Instances of any incorrect information or process violation detected at any stage of the selection process will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate from the selection process and he/she will not be allowed to appear for CAT in future. Eligibility for Admission:

(a) Academic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Regular) of Kerala, Calicut, Mahatma Gandhi, Cochin, Kannur University and KUHS or regular course of other Universities recognized by KUHS. Candidates who have passed the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Regular) of Kerala, Calicut, Mahatma Gandhi, or Kannur University and KUHS or regular course of other Universities recognized by KUHS after acquiring the General Nursing and Midwifery Course with +2 Science Subject are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed B.Sc Degree in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Regular) from universities outside Kerala & any of the Deemed Universities, should produce the equivalency certificate from any university in Kerala at the time of counseling.

(b) Nativity: Applicants should have satisfied any of the following conditions:

(i)                 Indian Citizen of Kerala Origin.

(ii)               Candidates, who are sons/daughters of Non-Keralite parents and have obtained B.Sc. Nursing degree from any of the Nursing Colleges in Kerala State.

(iii)              Candidates who are not of Kerala origin but have been a resident of Kerala for a period of not less than 5 years. Non Keralite applicants will not be eligible for community /Persons with Disability (PD) reservation benefits.

(c) Experience: Candidate should have completed one year of experience in any hospital with an average bed strength of 100 inpatients or in a recognized School of Nursing or in a Community Health Centre or internship/Compulsory Nursing Service after registration with the Kerala Nursing Council on the date of notification of inviting application ie. on 17/07/2018

Note:

(i)       The experience acquired by candidates after registration from Nursing Councils outside Kerala, after getting B.Sc. Nursing Degree will also be counted for experience. The one year experience must be acquired from the State in which the registration was obtained.

(ii)      The period undergone by a candidate for completing the Post Basic Nursing Course will not be reckoned as work experience. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Baisc B.Sc. Nursing is essential.

Applicants should have obtained registration with Kerala Nursing Council at the time of Counseling.

Age: The upper age limit for General candidates shall be 46 years and that for Service candidates shall be 49 years as on the date of notification of inviting application (17/07/2018).

Mode of Selection: All Candidates including Service Quota candidates shall have to appear for the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala at Thiruvananthapuram on 19/08/2018 (Sunday). The Entrance examination will be of 2½ hours duration (10.00 am – 12.30 pm) with 200 Multiple Choice Questions. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala will publish the rank list with all General / category candidates who appeared in the Entrance Examination based on their marks in the Entrance Examination.

How to Apply:

All candidates including Service candidates seeking admission to the PG Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) Courses- 2018 can apply in the Online application form available from 18/07/2018 to 26/07/2018 in the website of the CEE. While applying online, candidates should upload the scanned image of his /her latest photograph, signature and all the required documents /certificates as per the instructions given in the Prospectus (clause 8.24). No need to send the print out of the application or any supporting documents to the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination. The application form and Prospectus will not be available from any Nursing Colleges or from the Office of CEE.

Application Fee: All candidates including Service candidates shall have to remit the required fee either by online payment gateway using internet banking/credit card/debit card or by using e-challan payment in any of the Head Post Offices in Kerala. Application Fee for General / Service candidates is Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) and in the case of SC/ST candidates the application fee is 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only). Application fee once remitted will not be refunded. Service Quota candidates seeking admission in general quota also, should pay an extra amont of Rs. 1000/-(Rupees One Thousand Only).

·         It is mandatory to provide proof/documentary evidence in support of the candidate having passed final exam for such a primary medical qualification/possess the primary medical qualification on or before the cut-off date. In the event of the date of issue of result/proof of primary medical qualification being after the prescribed cut-off date, the application form shall be rejected and candidate declared as ineligible

·         Candidate seeking provisional or permanent registration shall not have to qualify the Screening Test if he/she holds an Undergraduate medical qualification from

·         Australia/Canada/New Zealand/United Kingdom/United States of America and the holder thereof has also been awarded a Post Graduate medical qualification in  Australia/Canada/New Zealand/ United Kingdom/United States of America and has been recognized for enrolment as medical practitioner in that country 

FMGE Scheme of Exam (June)

·         The NBE FMGE 2018 Entrance Test is conducted in English Language

·         The NBE FMGE Test consists of One Paper

·         There are 300 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) of single response type in the paper

·         There is No negative marking

·         An applicant shall be declared as having passed only if he/she obtains a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 in the exam

·         Results (Pass/Fail) for eligible candidates will be displayed at NBE website and office of NBE

·         Candidates are required to report at the ‘Reporting Counter’ at 07.30 AM for Part One and01.00 PM for Part Two (Two hour prior to the start time). The reporting counter will close30 minutes prior to the test start time. Candidate who fails to report to the reporting counter by the stipulated time as indicated above shall not be allowed to test

Allahabad University CRET 2018 - The University of Allahabad shall conduct Combined Research Entrance Test- 2018 (CRET-2018) at Allahabad for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.) (hereinafter referred to as D.Phil. Program) of the University of Allahabad for the session 2018-19 in the subjects.

Details of Program:

All candidates seeking admission to the D.Phil. Program of the University of Allahabad for thesession 2018-19, in the subjects listed in para, shall have to qualify in the Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET-2018) to be conducted by the Allahabad University at Allahabad

All candidates, including candidates exempted in Level 1 Test, shall be required to fulfill the following Eligibility Criteria for appearing in CRET-2018 and for admission to the D.Phil. Program.

Eligibility:

·         Candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) shall be exempted from the Level 1 Test of CRET examination conducted by the University of Allahabad

·         A minimum score at the Post-graduate Examination of 55% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point under the seven-point Letter Grade Scale), laid down by the UGC in the case of General candidates and 50% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade / Grade Point) in the case of OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates

·         For the purposes of Criterion 1.02.1, the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate shall not be rounded-off to the next higher integer

·         A minimum average score in the entire academic career of 54% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point) in the case of General/OBC candidates; or 49% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point) in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates

·         Provided further, If the candidate desires to appear at Level 1 of the CRET examination he/she is allowed to appear at Level 1 of CRET examination, but his eligibility shall be determined only on the basis of the marks obtained by him/her in the CRET Exam

Categories of candidates shall be exempted from the Level 1 & Level 2 Tests, both:

·         All the candidates selected by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), subject to the validity norms of the respective fellowship. However, such candidates who have been selected for JRF are desires of appearing at Level 1 and Level 2 of the CRET-2018 exam, they are allowed to appear in CRET-2018 exam conducted by University of Allahabad

·         Provided further the eligibility of such candidates shall be determined only on the basis of the marks obtained by him/her in the CRET exam

·         Candidates for D.Phil in the Dept. of Electronics and Communication with M.Tech/M.E in Electronics Engineering or equivalent subjects or M.Tech/ME in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent Subjects

·         Candidates for D.Phil in the Dep. of Earth and Planetary Sciences with M.Tech in Geology/Applied geology or Geo-Physics who have valid GATE score before the last date of applying for CRET and have a GATE score of not less than 75%

·         There shall be negative marking in objective-type questions; for every correct answer 4 marks will be awarded and for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted

Minimum Qualifying Marks

For General and OBC Category Candidates: Level 1 will be qualifying for Level 2 and Level 2 will be qualifying for Level 3.However, for Level 3, marks of Level 2 only will be considered. In order to qualify Level 1, 40% marks are essential. Similarly, to qualify for Level 3, 40% marks at Level 2 is necessary. However, if a candidate fails to score 40% marks at Level 1 or at Level 2, he/she shall be eligible for Level 3 provided that the total marks at Level 1 and Level 2 is 50%; the merit of Level 2 only will be considered for Level 3

For SC/ST/PH Category Candidates: Level 1 will be qualifying for Level 2 &Level 2 will be qualifying for Level 3. However, for Level 3, marks of Level 2 only will be considered. In order to qualify Level 1, 35% marks are essential. Similarly, to qualify for Level 3, 35% marks at Level 2 is necessary. However, if a candidate fails to score 35% marks at Level 1 or at Level 2, he/she shall be eligible for Level 3 provided that the total marks at Level 1 and Level 2 is 40%. The merit of Level 2 only will be considered for Level 3

Exam Pattern 

Level 1 Test

This test is of objective type questions and it is divided into two sections - Section A and Section B. Negative Marking for wrong answers is applicable for Level 1 Test

Section A

General Awareness, Academic and Research Aptitude: This Section of the paper will comprise of 50 multiple choices type objective questions of the subject opted by the candidate. All questions are to be attempted. Each question carries four marks. Duration of this Section will be 01:30 hours

Section B

Subject Proficiency in the CRET 2018 subject applied for: This Section will comprise of 50 multiple choices type questions of the subject opted by the candidate. All questions are to be attempted. Each question carries four marks. Duration of this Section will be 01:30 hours

Note

Test for Level 1 - Section A and Level 1 - Section B will be in continuation. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam room in between the two Sections

Immediately after completion of Section A duration, i.e. 1:30 hours, the question/answer booklet for Section A will be collected and simultaneously question booklet and answer sheet for Section B will be distributed. Total duration of Level 1 Test (Level 1 A and Level 1 B) is 3 hours

Level 2 (Written Subject Test)

This test is of subjective type based on the subject of CRET-2018 opted by the candidate in its online registration and eligibility

The duration of Level 2 (Written Subject Test) of CRET-2018 shall be two hours and the total marks shall be 200; this test will comprise of 3 sections consisting of Short Answer (10 questions of 10 marks each to be answered in 200 words), Medium Answer (3 questions of 20 marks each to be answered in 200 words) and Long Answer question (1 question of 40 marks to be answered in 400 words)

In all 14 questions are to be answered in Level 2 Test. There may or may not be internal choices within each question

Application Fees

·         Test Fees for candidates required to appear for (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Tests) or (Level 2 and Level 3 Tests)

·         For General/OBC: Rs.1500/-

·         For ST/SC/PH/VH: Rs.700/-

·         Test fees for candidates exempted from the Level 1 and Level 2 Tests, and required to appear only for the Level 3 Test

·         For General / OBC- Rs.1200/-

·         For ST/SC/PH/VH: Rs.700/-

·         It should be noted that the Test Fees shall not be refunded or carried over in case the application of the candidate is rejected, or his/her candidature is cancelled at any stage, or he/she does not appear wholly or partially for CRET-2018

How to Apply:

Application Form:

·         A candidate who fulfils the minimum Eligibility Criteria and seeks to appear in CRET-2018 in a Subject that is available and is also admissible to him/her must complete, and submit through the Internet, as per modality and schedule set out in the following paras, the prescribed Online Application/Registration Form for appearing for the Level 1 Test /Level 2 Test /Level 3 Test (as the case may be) at CRET-2018 in the concerned/admissible Subject and must remit, within due time, the prescribed Test Fees to the University

·         Candidate is strongly advised to familiarize himself/herself with the Schedule for different processes/stages of CRET-2018

·         The On-line Application/Registration Form for CRET-2018 shall be accessible only during the dates specified in the Schedule at the University’s Website for CRET, namely www.aupravesh.org

·         Before proceeding to fill and submit the On-line Application/Registration Form for CRET-2018, the candidate is strongly advised to carry out the following tasks for his/her own convenience:

i.        Take a Printout of this Bulletin (Information and Guidelines) and read it carefully

ii.      Take a Print-out of the CRET-2018 Syllabus of the Subject in which he/she desires, and is eligible, to appear

iii.    Read thoroughly the Instructions for the filling and submission of the Online Form

iv.   Review and ensure the correctness of the details of his/her academic record at the High School and Intermediate (or equivalent) and the Graduation and Post graduation level, for purposes of making required entries in the On-line Form

v.     Get his/her latest Passport-size Color Photograph and his signature scanned by Computer, so that the scanned Photograph and Signature can be submitted with the Online Form; the original of the scanned Photograph should be carefully preserved for submission to the CRET-2018 Committee in the manner specified.

·         Once the candidate has been Registered he/she should view and take a print copy (Print-out) of his/her Admit Card from the date 20th August 2018 by entering his/her Application ID

·         The candidates should, thereafter send it to "The Director- CRET-2018, Monirba, Chatham Lines Campus, University of Allahabad, Allahabad-211002" by registered or speed post

·         Candidates cannot submit more than one application form for CRET-2018; any candidate who submits more than one, will be disqualified or his forms will be cancelled.
