MHT-CET 2017 FOR ADMISSION TO B.E/B.TECH AND B.PHARM./ PHARM. D. COURSES FOR THE YEAR 2017-18

As per the provision in section 2(e) and section 10(4) of Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015 (Mah. XXVIII of 2015), the Competent Authority is conducting CET (MHT-CET 2017) for admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy Under Graduate Courses for Academic Year 2017-18. The Online applications are invited for CET for admission to First Year of full time Under Graduate Degree courses in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm D.) in the Government, Govt. Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State, as per following schedule.

Eligibility Criteria

Here we have mentioned the eligibility criteria for engineering courses:

Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

No age limit criteria for engineering courses.

Students must have passed HSC or equivalent examination from any recognized board.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Application Fee

Candidates can pay the application fee through online system only by Credit Card/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. The fee is non-refundable. The application fee is given below:

Mewar University, Rajasthan has announced the exam dates for Mewar University Entrance Examination (MUEE 2017), which will be conducted in May 2017. The MUEE will be held on Saturday, May 06, 2017.

MUEE is conducted for taking admission to various undergraduate programs offered in the faculty of Engineering & Technology, Agricultural & Veterinary sciences, Computer Science & System Studies, Management & Commerce, Science and Technology, Mass & Media Communication, Education & Psychology, Legal Studies and Paramedical Science for the session 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for MUEE 2017:

Candidates should have 10+2 with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grades.

Candidates can download the application form.

Paper Pattern for MUEE 2017:

The MUEE 2017 is of 2 hours duration.

For B.Tech Program:

The paper will have 90 multiple choice questions. Each carrying one mark it will have 3 sections: Physics (30 marks), Chemistry (30 marks) and Mathematics (30 marks).

For Integrated LL.B Programs:

The paper will have 90 multiple choice questions. Each carrying one mark it will have 3 sections, General Awareness (30marks),General English(30marks),and General Legal Awareness (30 marks).

For BA, BBA, B.T.T.M ,B.COM , B.Sc and B.Pharm /BMLT/BPT Programs:

The paper will have 60 multiple choice questions, each carrying one mark. The sections include General Awareness (30 marks) and General English (30marks).

Karnataka CET 2017 Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2017

Eligibility Criteria 

As per Rule 5 (1) of Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Govt. seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006, No candidate shall be eligible for admission to Govt. Seats unless he is a citizen of India and satisfies any one of the eligibility conditions hosted on the KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in 

The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses, Eligibility criteria will not be eligible for admission to Professional Courses under Govt. quota seats through KEA 

Eligibility Criteria for CET 2017 

Medical, Dental (MBBS, BDS): Candidates must have passed in 2nd PUC,12th Std., Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects (40$ for SC,ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates 

In CET-Exam: For admission to Medical or Dental Courses, candidates must compulsorily qualify in the NEET-2017 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam conducted by the CBSE board, New Delhi to become eligible 

Note: The norms prescribed in NEET-2017 and the orders of the Government, is applicable for admission to Medical and Dental Courses 

Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga (ISM & H): Candidates must have Passed in 2nd PUC,12th Std., Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects (Aggregate of three) (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B category candidates) 

In CET-Exam: No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET 

Criteria for Determination of Merit, Rank: By taking marks in equal proportions in QE and CET in PCB subjects 

Engineering, Technology (BE, B. Tech): Candidates must have Passed in 2nd PUC,12th Std., Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Electronics, Computer (40% for SC, ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B category candidates) 

In CET-Exam: No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET; by taking marks in equal proportions in QE and CET in PCB subjects 

Criteria for Determination of Merit, Rank: By taking marks in equal proportions in QE and CET in PCM subjects 

Architecture (B. Arch): Candidates should have Passed in 2nd PUC,12th Std., Equivalent Exam with Mathematics as Compulsory optional subject and obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in all the subjects (45% for SC,ST,CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B category candidates) 

In CET-Exam: Minimum of 40% of Marks in NATA for all categories of students including SC, ST and Other Backward Classes 

Note: For admission to Architecture Course, candidate should compulsorily appear for NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture. The NATA exam 2017 is scheduled on 16th April 2017

Note: 
A candidates who had obtained a seat in any discipline through KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous year and surrendered the seats before the last date fixed for entry of options for final round of seat allotment for the respective discipline will be not eligible for allotment of a seat to the same discipline during 2017 

In the case of Agriculturist Quota the merit list will be prepared based on 25% marks each, secured in concerned combinations in II year PUC (PCMB) and CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test, II case of B.V.Sc. & AH merit list will be prepared based on 50% of marks secured in CET (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and 50% of marks scored in the practical test 

How to Apply for KCET 2017 

Step1: Please download the e-brochure from KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in and read the instructions carefully before start entering the application online. Enter all the details online by browsing URL on web http://kea.kar.nic.in by selecting "CET-2017 UG Online Application"; after completion of entry of all the details candidate’s will receive an application ID & Password to their registered mobile phone number and to email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen 

Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG, JPEG format separately 

Step 3: Print the Challan copy that is in triplicate. Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of Rs.650/- for General and OBC (Rs.500/- for SC,ST Category-1 of Karnataka candidates only); Rs.750/- in case of candidates residing outside the state of Karnataka & Rs.5,000/- in case of candidates residing outside India. 

The candidates who are residing outside India shall pay the fees in the form of DD drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore 

Step 4: Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper. Obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied 2nd PUC or 12th Standard on the space provided in the printed form; the same copy should be produced during document verification

AFCAT 2017, Air Force Common Admission Test 2017

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 2017) dates has been announced by Indian Air Force (IAF). The AFCAT will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017.

AFCAT for both men and women is conducted for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/ Short Service Commission in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches for the session commencing in January 2017. AFCAT is only one of the steps involved in the entire selection process for getting selected as an officer in the IAF. On clearing the AFCAT, shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB (Services Selection Board) Testing.

Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 2017:

For Flying Branch:

Age: 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2017 i.e. born between 02 January 1992 to 01 January 1998.

·         Candidates must be graduates (minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks or equivalent and have passed Maths & Physics at 10+2 level or BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

For Technical Branch (Aeronautical Engineer-Electronics):

Age: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2018 i.e. born between 02 January 1992 to 01 January 1998 (both dates inclusive).

·         Candidates must have minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four year degree graduation/integrated post- graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Paper Pattern for AFCAT 2017:

Duration of AFCAT is two hours.

HPCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing in HPCET-2017 for seeking admissions to a particular course must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the corresponding course as per AICTE norms

For B.Tech (Direct Entry): Candidates must have passed 10+2or its equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the

Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology subject securing at least 45% marks (40% in case for candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together

For B.Pharm (Direct Entry): Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective State/Central Govt. authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian University (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually

However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-class rooms based schools such as National Institute of Open Schooling; open school systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B.Pharmacy Course

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st Dec.-2017 of the year of admission to the course

For B.Pharm (Ayurveda): The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together

For M.Tech: Recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field obtaining at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

For M.Pharmacy: Recognized Bachelor in Pharmacy or equivalent degree obtaining at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

For MBA: Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

For MCA: Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level securing at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Exam from a recognized University

Note

The candidates who are appearing for their final examination of 10+2/Bachelor Degree exam in March/April, 2017 shall be allowed to appear in HPCET-2017, but the final selection is subject to their satisfying the above said eligibility conditions.

Admission Criteria

a) Admission to the above programmes will be made strictly on the basis of merit or rank/marks obtained in the National Level Entrance Test/HPCET-2017 subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification

b) The Merit/Score of the HPCET-2017 shall be considered only after exhausting Merit/Score of respective National Level Entrance Test

i. MBA: Merit Score of National Level Entrance Test i.e. CMAT, CAT, MAT-AIMA etc. or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

ii. MCA: HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

iii. B.Tech (Direct Entry): JEE (Main)-2017 conducted by CBSE or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

iv. B.Pharmacy (Allopathy & Ayurveda): HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

v. M.Tech: GATE or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

vi. M.Pharmacy: GPAT or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

Note: Admission to the above programme will be made strictly on the basis of merit or rank/marks obtained in the National Level Entrance Exam/ State Level Entrance Exam subject to fulfillment of minimum education qualifications as per AICTE/University norms

Seats Available

Reservation of Seats

As per State/Central Govt. rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria, these categories are:

a) Other Backward Classes (OBC) - Non Creamy Layer as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Govt. of India website www.ncbc.nic.in

b) Scheduled Castes (SC)

c) Scheduled Tribes (ST)

The benefit of reservation for admission will be given only for Himachal Bonafide applicants and the applicants belonging to other States will be treated under General Category only

HPCET 2017 Exam Pattern

HPCET-2017 Entrance Test for different programmes/courses will be conducted in the second week of May 2017

The Entrance Test for each course shall be conducted in Single Offline (Pen & Paper Based Test) Mode

All questions shall be objective type (multiple-choice questions); each question with choice of four-answers

The candidate will have to choose one correct answer only. Each correct answer fetches 2 (two) marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 0.5 mark

No marks shall be awarded for questions not attempted

The Joint Entrance Examination JEE-Advanced is an all-India examination administered and conducted in seven IIT zones across the country by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) for admission to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs in the sixteen IITs (IIT Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Mandi, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Varanasi) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad.

IIT Advanced Exam Pattern

Papers: JEE Advanced examination comprises of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Attempt: Candidates have to attempt both the papers.

Duration: The duration of both exams will be three hours.

Question Type: The question paper will consist of objective type (multiple choice and numerical answer type) questions.

Mode of Language: The medium of the question paper will be Hindi or English.

Subjects: Both question paper will contain the three separate sections i.e., Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.

Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2017:

The candidates who want to take admission in the B.Arch programme are required to qualify the AAT examination. Only JEE Advanced 2017 qualifiers will be eligible to appear the test. To take AAT, the candidates have to register themselves online on the official portal of JEE Advanced. It is the single paper of 3 hours duration. Those, secure marks above the cut-off marks will be considered as qualifiers for the AAT. There will no separate rank list be prepared for AAT. Admission will be done through the rank secured by the candidate in JEE Advanced 2017.

IIT JEE Exam Centres:

Last year, the examination was held in many towns and cities of India as well as in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. At the time of filling online application form, the candidates can choose three cities/towns where he/she wants to take the exam. The examination centres are separated into seven IITs zones namely IIT Bombay Zone, IIT Delhi Zone, IIT Guwahati Zone, IIT Kanpur Zone, IIT Kharagpur Zone, IIT Madras Zone and IIT Roorkee Zone.

Eligibility:

All the aspirants are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying for JEE Advanced 2017. The eligibility conditions that should be satisfied by the candidates are as follows:

Performance in Class XII: Candidate appearing for JEE Advanced 2017 has to score minimum 75% marks (for Gen/OBC) & 65% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in 12th or equivalent class. OR 

Must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.

If a candidate passes Class XII (or equivalent) in 2016, but writes one of the required subjects (mentioned above) in 2017 for improvement or any other reason, then the aggregate percentage will be calculated by considering the maximum marks obtained in the required subjects.

Performance in JEE (Main) 2017: Candidates should be among the top 2,20,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2017.

Age Limit: Candidates must possess the age on or after October 1, 1992. Five years age relaxation will be provided to the SC/ST candidates. These candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1987.

No of Attempts: The candidates can appear the examination maximum two times in a consecutive years. Those appeared the examination in 2016 are also eligible to apply this year.

However, candidates whose Class XII (or equivalent) examination results for the academic year 2014-15 were declared after June 2015 are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.

Must have appeared the 12th class first time with all the subjects either in the year 2016 or 2017. If candidate seeking for the improvement in the year 2017 then he/she has to appear the improvement exam in all the subjects.

Earlier admission at IITs: A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program) OR accepted the IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. The candidates whose admission at IITs was cancelled are also NOTeligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.

Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2016 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017. The candidates who have paid seat acceptance fee but not accepted the seat (by not reporting at any reporting centre during joint seat allocation in 2016) are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.

Seat Reservation:

The seats are reserved as per the rules of Indian government. The reservation for different categories are as follows:

For SC – 15%

For ST – 7.5%

For OBC-NCL – 27%

For remaining all – 50.5%

For Person with Disability (PwD) – 3% seats are reserved in each of the categories.
