Eligibility:

Candidates should have

A Master's Degree with 55 percent marks (preceded by Bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern with 60 percent marks

(OR)

A 5 year Integrated Master’s Degree with atleast 55 percent marks (obtained after completing higher secondary schooling in 10+2 pattern) in any discipline

(OR)

A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with atleast 50 percent marks

(OR)

A 4 year / 8 semester’s Bachelor's degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA.

Note: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by their respective University/Institution. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ institution. If any University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.

Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying Programmes that would make them eligible can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by month of June (in the academic year in which admission takes place) from the Principal/ Head of the Department / Registrar or Director of the University / Institute stating that they have appeared for the examinations (including practical examinations) in all the subjects required for obtaining the Master's / Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the marks sheet and the certificate of having passed the Master's / Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by Principal / Registrar of their college / Institute. The deadline for submission of marks sheet and the Certificate is December 31 (in the academic year in which admission takes place). Non-fulfilment of the conditions of eligibility for minimum percentage of marks obtained as applicable, will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

IIM Sirmaur follows Govt. of India norms of reservation.

Selection

Based on the information provided by the applicants, candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective Areas) and called to Sirmaur for an area specific written test and / or interview.

Candidates will be admitted to the programme based on a combination of multiple parameters, as also specified by the respective areas. Parameters may include applicant's performance in CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/JRF (NET) score, past academic performance, work experience, area specific test and / or interview performance etc.

CAT 2018 & 2019 is valid for 2020 Ph.D. Admission at IIM Sirmaur. Alternatively, those who have GRE/GATE/GMAT/JRF (UGC/CSIR) taken during the last two years will be considered valid for 2020 Admission.

How to Apply:

Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme are required fill the online Application Form on or before 20th February 2020.

Scholarship and Rewards*

3. PDF Format

A student can download the PDF Form using the button Download PDF Form, complete it manually and paste a passport size photo on the form. Send the duly filled Application Form along with Demand Draft of the requisite Application form fee drawn in favour of "International School of Business & Media" payable at Pune and send it to the registered campus address labelling it to ISB&M Admissions Office, Pune. Once the admission office receives the form, the admission office will send mail/courier the prospectus to the student.

Scholarship and Rewards*

The institute has the provision for awarding the following scholarship and rewards to the deserving performers.

Merit scholarship:

Rs. 1, 00,000 per year for 2 applicants having a securing at least 80 percentile in CAT/XAT.

Rs. 50,000 per year for 5 applicants having a securing at least 75 percentile in CAT/XAT.

Rs. 25,000 per year for 10 applicants having a securing at least 70 percentile in CAT/XAT.

Merit scholarship for women candidates: Rs. 25,000 per year for 5 applicants having a securing at least 70 percentile in CAT/XAT. (If not selected in any other scholarship Category)

Note:

·         Upon admissions, candidate will go through a selection committee & will be recommended candidate will receive scholarship.

·         All recipients will receive only if maintain A grade CGPA at the end of 1st trimester.

·         50 % of the scholarship availed will be disbursed at the end of the first year and next 50 % at the end of the second year. Scholarship Committee’s decision is final and binding on all applicants.

GROUP DISCUSSION AND PERSONAL INTERVIEWS

The Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Competency Test (if applicable) are conducted to evaluate a student on Communication skill, Personal Impact, Team Work, and Openness & Respect for others, Perspective & Contents, Attitude and Behavioral Traits.

The list of short-listed candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews (GD & PI) will be will be intimated by SMS, Email.
