About College:

The TERI School of Advanced Studies was established as a Trust in 1998 with the purpose of providing academic learning programmes. With TERI as its sponsoring society, TERI SAS focused its attention on developing a set of learning programmes that were both is support of, and were supported by, the research on issues of energy, environment and sustainability being undertaken by TERI. It was envisioned that the academic rigour brought by faculty members would enhance the quality of TERI’s application focused research, whereas the state-of-art research of TERI would constantly freshen up the curriculum of TERI SAS’s programmes and increase its societal relevance. Eligibility:

·         Bachelor's degree in any discipline with English at 10+2 level

·         The candidate will be shortlisted based on CAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT/XAT scores. Candidates who have not appeared for the above exams can take the TERI SAS common entrance test.

·         Candidates with more than 2 years of relevant work experience may be exempted from requirement (2) above depending on the discretion of the selection committee.

Selection Process:

The candidates will be shortlisted based on CAT/GMAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT or TERI SAS entrance exam scores (Candidates with more than 2 years of relevant work experience may be exempted from this requirement), depending on the discretion of the selection committee. Selection from shorlisted candidates will be on the basis of group discussions and interviews conducted by the University at New Delhi.

TERI School of Advanced Studies is accepting CAT score for MBA admissions for the academic year 2020. Interested candidates can apply Online.

Sponsored Candidates: Candidates working in the industry/ government/ regulatory bodies/ research/ academic institutions/ donor/ consultant organizations are encouraged to apply for the full-time M.B.A. All those who satisfy the minimum qualifications may be admitted to the progamme on the basis of an interview. These candidates are required to submit, at the time of interview, a sponsorship certificate from their employer on a proper letterhead, stating that for the period of his/her study at the University, the candidate will be treated as on duty with usual salary and allowances and that he/she will be fully relieved for the period of study for pursuing his/her studies. Sponsored candidate's application will be accepted only from those on the pay rolls of & sponsored by a registered company. Such applications would need to be accompanied by the audited balance sheet of the company and last year's income tax return of the applicant indicating the salary received from the company.

1.    Our institution uses the CAT score for shortlisting/selecting the candidates for our Post-Graduate programme(s) in Management/MBA. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

9.    There are TWO options available for making the payment after submission of the online registration form.

·         To pay online, you can choose ONLINE PAYMENT MODE. The payment can be done via Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card through online secured payment gateway. Please make sure that you tender the correct card details of the Debit / Credit card holder while paying through online payment gateway.

·         The other mode of payment is via a DEMAND DRAFT, which needs to be drawn in favor of "Registrar, TERI School of advanced Studies", payable at New Delhi. You will get a provisional registration number if you choose to pay by a demand draft.

The Demand Draft should be sent by registered or speed post / courier with a cover letter mentioning your provisional registration number at below address.

About College:

The genesis of the National Archives of India may be traced back to the year 1860 when Sandeman, the Civil Auditor, in his report stressed the need of relieving the offices of congestion by destruction of the papers of routine nature and transfer of all valuable records to a ‘Grand Central Archive’. However, things took a concrete shape in 1889, when Professor G.W. Forrest of Elphinstone College, Bombay was entrusted the job of examining the records of the Foreign Department of the Government of India. Earlier, he had earned reputation as an Archivist for his work in the Bombay Records Office. In his report, he made a strong plea for transferring all records of the administration of East India Company to a Central Repository. As a result, Imperial Records Department (IRD) came into existence on 11 March 1891 which was located in Imperial Secretariat Building at Calcutta (Kolkata). Professor G.W Forrest was made its Officer in Charge. His main task was to examine, transfer, arrange and catalogue records of all the Departments and to organise a Central Library in place of various Departmental Libraries. After G.W. Forrest, the work at Imperial Records Department (IRD) progressed well under S.C. Hill (1900), C.R. Wilson (1902), N.L. Hallward (1904), E. Denison Ross (1905), A.F. Scholfield (1915), R.A. Blaker (1919), J.M. Mitra (1920) and Rai Bahadur A.F.M. Abdul Ali (1922-1938) who were scholars as well as Records Keepers in their own right.

Eligibility:

A candidate possessing Graduate degree (qualifying examination) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. However, it will be 45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Age Limit: Candidate should not be more than 30 years of age as on 01.08.2019 (10 years age relaxation for in-service candidate, who joins the course on deputation through proper channel).

Intake Capacity:

  i.        The number of seats is 75 (after giving reservation as per Govt. of India rules) (GM: 33, OBC:18, SC:10, ST:06, EWS:08).

 ii.        In addition, to these, 22 Special Category seats for students from Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands, North-East States, J&K, Sports Person/NCC/NSS/Dependents of War Martyrs/Ex-Servicemen/Foreign Students and children of MDNIY regular employees as per details given below are reserved

iii.        Reservation will be applicable as per Govt. of India Rules

Selection Process

·         Selection will be made on the basis of entrance examination conducted at all India level which will be conducted on 01st September 2019

·         The candidates securing 40% or above marks for General/OBC/Special categories and 35% or above marks for SC/ST/EWS in entrance examination, will be considered for admission, on merit

Fellowship Details

·         A Fellowship of Rs. 8000/- (Rs. Eight thousand) per month will be awarded to the following students: Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands -02 students North - East States -02 students

·         However, the candidature of the above students has to be recommended and forwarded by the Health /AYUSH Dept. of the concerned State/ UT. Award of scholarship/fellowship to such selected students is also subjected to their regularity, requisite attendance (min. 80%) and discipline

Cash Prize: A cash prize of Rs.25000/-will be awarded to 12 (GM-06, OBC-03, SC-02 & ST-01) Indian meritorious students based on the outstanding performance in both semester exams of the course

Hostel Stipend: The Institute will provide a Hostel stipend of maximum Rs. 5000/- per month or as per actual, whichever is less, for outstation student (other than from Delhi &7 Towns of NCR (Faridabad, Gurgaon, Sonipat, Jhajhar, Ghaziabad, Noida and Baghpat)) taking admission in ‘Diploma in Yoga Science for Graduates’ to the maximum 24 students in a batch. (maximum 11 months)

Cheques are not accepted Application Form and Admission Brochure can also be downloaded from Institute’s website. In that case the applicant shall deposit Rs.1000/- at the time of submission of application. The amount once remitted, will not be refunded, under any circumstances.
