Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a University established under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The University focuses on higher education and research in the areas of Engineering, Medicine, Management, Science, Education, Mass Communication and Social Work. The University has five campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kochi and Mysore and around 15000 students studying in various disciplines.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is conducting its Engineering Entrance Examination every year on an all India basis for admission to the 4 year B.Tech. Degree programmes offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore). Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of 4 year B.Tech. programmes through counselling, based on their ranks in the Entrance Examination.

Amrita University conducts an entrance exam every year in various cities across the country for admission to the B.Tech. programs at its three Schools of Engineering located at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore.

Eligibility:

Age - Candidates shall be born on or after 1st July 1994.

Educational Qualification - A pass in 10+2 (class XII)or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects.

(OR)

A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.

Note: Those who appear for the above examinations in March/April 2015 may also apply.

Seat allotment through Counselling will be based on the eligibility and rank obtained by the Candidate in the Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering 2015.

How to Apply:

ONLINE:

1.     To apply online, following items are necessary:

·         Candidate’s Photograph in digital format

·         Candidate’s Signature in digital format

·         Payment can be done either through Credit / Debit Card or Net Banking.

·         In case if you are paying the application form fee as demand draft, you should have the demand draft with you for Rs. 1000 drawn in favour of “Amrita School of Engineering”, payable at“Coimbatore”. In this case, application process is treated complete only after receiving the demand draft along with the printed copy of the application at the university.

2.     Candidates are required to read the Information Handbook before applying online.

3.     Multiple applications submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

4.     If payment is not done, the application is treated incomplete and rejected without any notice.

5.     Change in the application form data is not allowed after the submission.

6.     Application Number will be the reference for all future correspondence.

7.     Download the application as PDF and keep a printed copy of the application for future reference.

8.     If there is any difficulty faced by the candidate to complete the application, please send email.

BY POST: Applications can be procured in person from the Admissions office of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru or Coimbatore on producing a Demand Draft for Rs.1,000/- drawn in favour of “Amrita School of Engineering” payable at Coimbatore.

Application can also be obtained by post, from the Admission Co-ordinators of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru or Coimbatore(address given below), on a written request indicating applicant’s full communication address together with a Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- drawn in favour of “Amrita School of Engineering” payable at Coimbatore.

Scholarship Scheme: Norms

1.     Scholarship will be provided to 15% of the top ranking candidates, who passed the qualifying examination from Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and admitted in the respective campuses.

2.     Scholarship amount of Rs. 50,000/- per annum will be waived from the tuition fees.

3.     Award of scholarship will be governed by the rules framed for the purpose.

JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (JEE) APEX BOARD

CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION

The JEE (Main)-2014 will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, participating State Government Institutions etc.

The admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions under several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall include the performance in the JEE (Main).

For admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions, the merit/rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization.

The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) - 2014 application form online.

The JEE (Main) will also be the eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the llTs/ISM Dhanbad.

Online Application   has to   be submitted through   JEE   (Main)-2014 please click here. The aspiring candidate should furnish all the details and upload scanned image of his/her photograph and signature while filling up the 'On-line' Application.   Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated acknowledgement slip after successful submission of data and payment of fees and keep the same in the safe custody for any future reference.

Important Note - As for this year and for the first time, the entire application process is online, including uploading of photograph & signature and payment of fees; the candidates are required NOT to send any document to JEE (Main) Secretariat.

PhD (Mechanical Engineering)

Eligibility:

MTech in Mechanical/ Production Engineering    with minimum 70% marks in qualifying exam. OR 7.75 CGPA on 10 point scale.

The candidates so selected for admission to Ph.D Programme will have to apply subsequently to M.D. University, Rohtak for registration.

The normal duration for Ph.D Programme is 3 years which can be extended depending upon the progress of the research work.

Prospectus is available on cash payment from YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad. However, the Prospectus can also be obtained from YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad through post by sending a demand draft of Rs. 1050/- in favour of Director, YMCA Institute of Engineering, payable at Faridabad latest by 3.8.2007. Requests received after this will not be entertained. The Institute does not take the responsibility arising out of postal delay.

Transfers / Change of Branch

Reva ITM offers scholarships that are not only comprehensive but the most generous of its kind. These scholarships help support outstanding students who face difficulties in meeting some of their academic needs. Applicants go through selection panel that comprise of eminent and distinguished academicians for selections. Details for the scholarships offered can be obtained at the Admissions Office. Each of the scholarships offered has its own application norms but any award, support or incentive can only be made after securing the offer of place at Reva ITM. There is a small number of financial assistant available to students taking part in different extra curricular activities conducted by the college and university including sports.
