Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune for admission to various Post Graduate Programmes for the academic year 2017-18, conducts Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). The SNAP Test will be on 17th December 2017, from 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm

Candidates aspiring to join MBA / MSc (CA) / MSc (SS) Programmes offered by Institutes of Symbiosis International University have to take the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Online Test 2017 

The registration for the exam has also been started and the candidates may apply until 24th November 2017. SIU will conduct the SNAP 2017 Test in online mode.

SNAP 2017 Eligibility 

Those who have completed Graduate from any recognized/statutory University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST), Programmes, which require specific discipline/ subject specialisation need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute 

A candidate who has completed qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees/ qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any programme of SIU 

Evaluation Division of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) issues equivalence certificate for foreign degrees/qualifications 

SNAP 2017 Test Structure 

General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability - 40 Questions; 40 Marks 

Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency - 40 Questions; 40 Marks 

Current Affairs - 30 Questions; 30 Marks 

Analytical & logical Reasoning - 40 Questions; 40 Marks 

Total No. of Questions: 150 and 150 Marks 

SNAP Test duration is of 120 minutes 

Date of SNAP Test - 17th December 2017 (Time: 14.00 hrs. - 16.00 hrs) 

SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 04 responses. Candidate should choose an appropriate response. 0.25 marks will be penalized for wrong answers. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks. 

Candidate must use Blue or Black ball point pen only 

Selection Process for SNAP 2017: 

On the basis of their overall percentage of SNAP, a cutoff list (category-wise) will be prepared and uploaded on the official website of respective institutes. According to these cut off lists, students will be shortlisted for the GE-PI WAT

Reservation Policy 

As per the UGC Regulations/ Guidelines, following will be the reservation policy for admission to any program of Institutes of SIU (except Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies, which has separate policy) 

a) Within Sanctioned Intake 

i) Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% 

ii) Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% 

iii) Differently Abled: 03% 

b) Over & Above Intake 

i) Kashmiri Migrants: 02 seats per program 

ii) International Candidates: 15% 

Candidates applying from categories other than Open Category are required to submit valid supporting document (s) at the time of GE-PIWAT (if shortlisted)

Choose the mode of Payment as 'DD Payment' in "Make Payment" Tab. Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Symbiosis International University, Gram: Lavale, Tal: Mulshi, Dist.: Pune-412115 

The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the payment details and will send you an email confirming the payment. Only after the payment is authenticated, would you be able to view your Admit card 

Admit Card for SNAP 2017 

The Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card. (Admit card will be live on SNAP websitewww.snaptest.org from 01st December 2017 to 17th December 2017) 

While all efforts will be made to ensure that the candidate gets a test city as per his/her preferences, however, in some exceptional circumstances, a different test city in nearby area may be allotted

At the time of admission, the candidate should have cleared all the trimesters/ semesters of the Program. No exam of any previous Semester/ Trimester to the final Semester/ Trimester examination be held subsequent to the final Semester/ Trimester Exam. NMAT 2018 Exam Pattern & Structure

NMAT by GMACTM would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type questions). The NMAT by GMACTM will comprise the following:

i) Language Skills - 32 (No of Questions); Allotted Time 22 minutes

ii) Quantitative Skills - 48 (No of Questions); Allotted Time - 60 Minutes

iii) Logical Reasoning - 40 (No of Questions); Allotted Time - 38 Minutes

Total Questions: 120 and; Duration: 120

The candidate should note that it is important for them to perform well relative to other candidates in each of the 3 sections of the test as the score of each section and the overall score will be used to shortlist the candidate for the second stage of the selection process as well as in the final ranking

Please note that if the candidate is not satisfied by his/her NMAT by GMACTM score in the first attempt he/she may appear for the test by going through the full process as a fresh MNMAT by GMACTM test by visiting NMAT.org.in and NMIMS (Deemed to-be-University) website both mandatorily & logging in with the allotted username and password

Selection Process (CD & PI)

The selection will be made by the merit of candidates’ as per their score in the examination. The result for NMAT by GMAC™ test will be declared on the website www.nmat.org.in. Shortlisted candidates are required to download the call letter from www.nmims.edu website. the shortlisted candidates also need to bring his/her call letter for CD/PI process

Case Discussion & Personal Interview of shortlisted candidates will be conducted in Mumbai, Bengaluru/Hyderabad (if required) for CD/PI the candidates have to carry their NMAT by GMACTM admit card

About College:

IIT Bombay, the second in the chain of IITs, was set up in 1958.  It was the first IIT to be set up with foreign assistance.  The funds came from UNESCO in roubles from the Soviet Union.  In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as 'Institutes of National Importance'.  Since then, IIT Bombay has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the top technical universities in the world.

IIT Bombay has a total of 14 academic departments, six centres, one school, and three interdisciplinary programmes.  It is recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of engineering education and research.  It is reputed for the quality of its faculty and the outstanding calibre of students graduating from its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Once you have registered and created a password, you can save your work repeatedly before you submit your final application

3.     Copies of degree certificate(s) and mark sheets should be uploaded into your application prior to submission. Official copies will need to be secured for your admissions interview.

4.     Provide two completed Recommendation for Admission Forms (PDF), preferably written by senior-level executives or immediate supervisors. The individuals writing the letters should include their knowledge of your professional achievements; potential for future managerial success; capacity to handle post graduate business education; and personal attributes such as motivation, integrity, and leadership ability. If you are self-employed, the recommendations may be completed by a colleague or client who you work with rather than a supervisor. The form may be submitted by email or through the online application system.

5.     Provide a Commitment/Sponsorship Letter from the appropriate officer at your organization. 6.     After you have submitted all your supporting documents, a member of the Executive MBA Admissions team will contact you to schedule a personal interview with the Admissions Committee.

Tution & Fees

The cost for IIT Bombay-Washington University Executive MBA Program offered in Mumbai (starting April 27, 2017) is Rs. 36,00,000 (Rs. 36 lakhs).
Meals, textbooks, tutoring assistance, study materials, parking, and lodging for class weekends and for international residency are included in the tuition. You are responsible for all your transportation costs, including airfare for the International Management Residency at WashingtonUniversity in St. Louis in the United States. You are also required to purchase a laptop if you don’t already have one prior to starting the program. Upon admission, to complete your enrollment, you must submit Rs. 3,00,000 (Rs. 3 lakhs) nonrefundable deposit that is applied to your first tuition installment.

In the last decade Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) has emerged as a global university with a wide offering of programs and courses spanning varied educational faculties. The University Grants Commission which is the apex body concerned with higher education in India made an assessment of the academic excellence achieved by the institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth through a committee of experts and on the recommendation of the UGC, the Government of India accorded the status of "Deemed to be University" to twelve institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth in Pune on 26th April, 1996 vide their notification No. F.9-15/95-U.3.

Later in July 2000 the Government of India on the recommendation of University Grants Commission and the All India Council for Technical Education brought three more institutions within the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University vide their notification No. F-9-15/95-4-3 dated 28th July, 2000. 

The University Grants Commission vide their Letter No. F.No. 3-2/90 (CPP-1) dated 17th August 2002, have agreed to bring two more research institutions within the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. During the year 2004, a Medical College at Sangli and a Dental College at Navi Mumbai have also been brought No. F. 9-7/2004-U.3 within the ambit of this University by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India vide its notification dt. 19th August, 2004.

In order to meet the growing demand for management education the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal with the help of a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust established a recognized Management institute of the Mumbai University in 1981.

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. ·         The minimum academic qualification is a second class master’s or equivalent degree in the relevant subject awarded by a recognized university in India or abroad, with at least an average of 55 per cent of aggregate marks, or a grade point average of 3.5 under the seven-point scale of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

·         In the case of Scheduled Caste (SC/ST/OBC) candidates, the minimum eligibility is an average of 50 per cent of aggregate marks, or a grade point average of 3.05.

·         Candidates who are likely to complete all the requirements of their final year master’s degree examinations by July 1, are also eligible to apply for M.Phil, provided they have successfully completed their first year masters degree.

·         A minimum of five years of post graduation work experience is required for Direct PhD programs. In case of the Integrated M.Phil-PhD Program, there is no requirement of work experience. However, candidates with one to two years of work experience will be preferred.

Paper Pattern for TISS-BAT 2017:

·         The entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration and the total marks will be 100.

·         Part-A: will be a 60 minute test with multiple choice questions on current affairs, social awareness and logical and analytical reasoning, carrying 60 marks.

·         Part-B: will be a written test with a set of deive questions in English. Candidate is expected to write two short answers in 30 minutes carrying 40 marks. It is compulsory for the candidates to attempt both the parts.

·         Both part A & part B will have separate cut off marks for evaluation.
