National Institute of Rural Development is an autonomous organisation of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The institute's services are available to different ministries/ departments of the Central and State Governments, banking institutions, public and private sector organisations, civil society organisations and other national and international agencies connected with rural development. NIRD aim is to examine and analyse the factors contributing to the improvement of economic and social well-being of people in rural areas on a sustainable basis with focus on the rural poor and the other disadvantaged groups through research, action research and consultancy efforts and facilitate the rural development efforts with particular emphasis and focus on the rural poor by improving the knowledge,skills and attitudes of rural development officials and non-officials through organising training, workshops and seminars.

About College:

IIT Bombay, the second in the chain of IITs, was set up in 1958.  It was the first IIT to be set up with foreign assistance.  The funds came from UNESCO in roubles from the Soviet Union.  In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as 'Institutes of National Importance'.  Since then, IIT Bombay has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the top technical universities in the world.

IIT Bombay has a total of 14 academic departments, six centres, one school, and three interdisciplinary programmes.  It is recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of engineering education and research.  It is reputed for the quality of its faculty and the outstanding calibre of students graduating from its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

For admission to B. Des, the candidate should have passed in the qualifying exam. If a qualifying Board awards only letter grades without providing information on the passing

grade on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the passing grade and submit it at the time of online acceptance of the allocated seat 

In case such a certificate is not provided, the decision taken by the B.Des admissions Committee will be final. Candidates should have qualified in UCEED 2018 

The criteria, as specified above, is applicable "in toto" to all the candidates including foreign nationals 

Qualifying Examination: 

i. The final exam of the 10+2 system, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiuweb.org) 

ii. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Exam conducted by a Board or University recognized by the AIU; final exam of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy 

iii. Sr. Secondary School Exam conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects; any Public School, Board or University exam inIndia or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU 

iv. HSC vocational examination 

v. A Diploma recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 years duration 

vi. High School Certificate Exam of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva 

vii. Candidates who have completed Class XII (or equivalent) exam outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the exam they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII exam 

viii. In case the Class XII exam is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) exam earlier

About College:

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the seven Institutes of technology created as centers excellence for higher training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India, the others being at Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Bombay, Guwahati and Roorkee. Established as College Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared an Institution of National Importance under the "Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963" and was renamed "Indian Institute of Technology Delhi ". It was then accorded the status of a deemed university with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.

HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, laid the foundation stone of the Institute on January 27, 1959. The Institute was inaugurated by Prof.Humayun Kabir, the then Union Minister for Scientific Research and Cultural Affairs on August 21, 1961. The Institute buildings were formally opened by Dr.Zakir Hussain, the then President of India, on March 2, 1968.

- Before applying for CEED, candidates are advised to check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes

- There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Besides, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times. The CEE 2018 score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the results.

Exam Pattern for CEED 2018

CEED 2018 will be conducted on Sunday, 20th January 2018, 10.00 am - 01.00 pm. The language of the question paper will be English.

The examination will consist of two parts, Part A and Part B. Candidates have to attempt questions from both the parts. Part A consist multiple choice (MCQ) type questions and Part B consist of design and hand drawing type questions

Part A will be conducted from 10.00 to 11.00 Hrs. followed by Part B from 11.00 to 13.00 Hrs.

Answer to Part A has to be given in the computer itself. Answer to Part B has to be given in the answer book provided by the invigilator. These answer books will be collected for manual correction at the end of the examination

Part A will be used as screening test. If N is the total number of seats available in all the participating institutes, then approximately the top 10xN candidates will be shortlisted from Part A. Part B will be evaluated only for the candidates who are shortlisted from Part A. Only Part B score will be used for CEED 2018 merit list

The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A marks and 75% weightage to scores obtained in Part B.

After the declaration of the result, CEED 2018 score cards will be available for downloading to all the qualified candidates. Hard copy of the CEED score cards will NOT be sent to the qualified candidates. Answer booklet (Part B) will not be provided to the candidates

- Candidates must have passed a degree / diploma / post graduate degree programme of 4 years or 3+2 years (after 10+2 level), or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2018, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2017

- Before applying for CEED, candidates are advised to check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes

- There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Besides, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times. The CEE 2018 score is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the results.

Exam Pattern for CEED 2018

CEED 2018 will be conducted on Sunday, 20th January 2018, 10.00 am - 01.00 pm. The language of the question paper will be English.

The examination will consist of two parts, Part A and Part B. Candidates have to attempt questions from both the parts. Part A consist multiple choice (MCQ) type questions and Part B consist of design and hand drawing type questions

Part A will be conducted from 10.00 to 11.00 Hrs. followed by Part B from 11.00 to 13.00 Hrs.

Answer to Part A has to be given in the computer itself. Answer to Part B has to be given in the answer book provided by the invigilator. These answer books will be collected for manual correction at the end of the examination

Part A will be used as screening test. If N is the total number of seats available in all the participating institutes, then approximately the top 10xN candidates will be shortlisted from Part A. Part B will be evaluated only for the candidates who are shortlisted from Part A. Only Part B score will be used for CEED 2018 merit list

The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A marks and 75% weightage to scores obtained in Part B.

After the declaration of the result, CEED 2018 score cards will be available for downloading to all the qualified candidates. Hard copy of the CEED score cards will NOT be sent to the qualified candidates. Answer booklet (Part B) will not be provided to the candidates

CEED 2018 Selection Process 

The candidates who clear the CEED 2017 Result with the minimum marks required qualify for the CEED 2017 Selection Process. The CEED 2017 Selection Process is a three step process. The candidates have to pass through three screens for admissions to the desired programme

Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of the recent passport size Colour Photo and Signature in .JPEG format separately.

Step 3: Download and take the printout of the Challan copy which is the triplicate. Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of INR 500/- for General / OBC & INR 250/- for SC/ST. The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in any of the branches of specified Banks. The Bank will retain its copy of the Challan and handover the remaining the two copies if the Challan to the candidates.

Step 4: Download and take printout of the application form on A Size paper. Affix candidate’s recent passport size photograph, Signature, Left hand Thumb Impression on the space provided. Afterwards obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied final year degree examination on the space provided in the printed form.
