Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a University established under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is conducting its Engineering Entrance Examination every year on an all India basis for admission to the 4 year B.Tech. Degree programmes offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore). Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of 4 year B.Tech. programmes through counselling, based on their ranks in the Entrance Examination.

Amrita University conducts an entrance exam every year in various cities across the country for admission to the B.Tech. programs at its three Schools of Engineering located at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore.

Eligibility:

Age - Candidates shall be born on or after 1st July 1994.

Educational Qualification - A pass in 10+2 (class XII)or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects.

A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.

Note: Those who appear for the above examinations in March/April 2015 may also apply.

Seat allotment through Counselling will be based on the eligibility and rank obtained by the Candidate in the Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering 2015.

How to Apply:

ONLINE:

1.     To apply online, following items are necessary:

·         Candidate’s Photograph in digital format

·         Candidate’s Signature in digital format

·         Payment can be done either through Credit / Debit Card or Net Banking.

·         In case if you are paying the application form fee as demand draft, you should have the demand draft with you for Rs. 1000 drawn in favour of “Amrita School of Engineering”, payable at“Coimbatore”. In this case, application process is treated complete only after receiving the demand draft along with the printed copy of the application at the university.

2.     Candidates are required to read the Information Handbook before applying online.

3.     Multiple applications submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

4.     If payment is not done, the application is treated incomplete and rejected without any notice.

5.     Change in the application form data is not allowed after the submission.

6.     Application Number will be the reference for all future correspondence.

7.     Download the application as PDF and keep a printed copy of the application for future reference.

8.     If there is any difficulty faced by the candidate to complete the application, please send email.

Entrance Test

Post Graduate aspirant will be required to submit prescribed form of the AIPGDET-2015 The eligible candidate is required to attend the AIPGDET-2015 at his/her own cost The examination medium will be English AIPGDET-2015 paper will be of one and half hours duration, containing 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) Questions will be single best response objective type with four choices Each correct response will be awarded one mark There will be no negative marking for wrong answer.

NUPGET is conducted for taking admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs offered in various specializations in its constituent colleges, namely K. S. Hegde Medical Academy and A. B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences for the academic year 2015-16.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the entrance test, namely:

Ø       Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI/ DCI from time to time.

Ø       Candidates should have successfully passed their MBBS/ BDS from an institution recognized by MCI / DCI.

Ø       Candidates must have completed or be completing their internship by 30th April 2015 at the latest.

·         A candidate should have passed final MBBS Examination from a recognized Medical College or any foreign medical degree, recognized from Medical Council of India and have obtained permanent registration certificate from Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Council after completing one year compulsory rotator internship shall be eligible to appear in MGM PGCET-2015 of MGMIHS

·         The candidates who are likely to complete their internship are also eligible to appear in MGM PGCET-2015 provided they should submit documentary proof from their principals / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship.

·         The candidate must produce documentary evidence for registration with Medical Council at the time of counseling for admission.

·         The candidate should obtain minimum 50 percent marks in MGM PGCET-2015 to become eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses.

·         Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing / completed the PG Course are not eligible for appearing at MGM PGCET-2015. However the candidate who has completed or pursuing PG Diploma is eligible to appear for MGM PGCET-2015 for PG Degree in the same subject only.

·         The Candidate applying for foreign / PIO/ NRI category need not appear for MGM PGCET-2015. Their admission will be based on qualifying examination marks.

·         The candidates who are likely to complete their compulsory rotatory internship shall not be considered for admission to the Postgraduate course of MGMIHS.

·         The candidates who have passed their MBBS Examination from Medical College which are not recognized from Medical Council of India shall not be eligible.

SELECTION PROCESS

ð      The selection to a course / college will be made as per merit cum preference given by the candidate.

ð      The allotment of seats shall be made to the candidates through personal appearance as per merit list and they will be called as per schedule for Counseling.

ð      The schedule of Counseling will be made available on the declaration of the result. No separate intimation regarding counseling will be sent. Therefore, all the successful candidates are directed to be in touch with the website of the MGMIHS till date of completion of the admission process for PG Courses.

ð      The candidates will have the right to choose any one of the available seats at his/her rank from the general category seats only and the same will be allotted to them.

ð      The qualified candidates are required to submit preference form ONLINE for their option regarding the subject and college before the last date prescribed in the scheduled of MGM PGCET-2015.

ð      The candidate should submit only one preference form. Submission of more than one form may lead to disqualification.

ð      The selection will be on the basis of merit and the preference submitted by the candidate in their preference form.

ð      The choice of Course and College once entered in the preference form shall be final and irrevocable. The final data shall be used in the entire selection process for admission to PG Course for the academic year 2015-16.

ð      The candidate shall have to appear personally and must produce original certificates at the time of admission and a set of attested photocopy of each of the document as per the list given below:

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

·         Candidates desirous to seek admission to PG medical (Degree/Diploma) courses shall have to apply ONLINE in the prescribed application form to appear in MGM PGCET - 2015.

·         The application cum examination fee for MGM PGCET- 2015 is Rs. 5500/- (Five Thousand Five Hundred only). (Additional Late fee of Rs. 1000/- only will be applicable after due date.)

·         The information Brochure and application Form will be available online from Thursday 20th November, 2014. Before filling Online Application form, download information brochure of MGM PG CET- 2015 and read the same carefully. The Applicants must possess the required criteria and education qualification as mentioned in the Information Brochure of MGM PGCET- 2015. The details of online form submission process on website are as mentioned below. (Not Applicable for NRI candidates)

g.     Eligible Candidate will be able to submit the form. There is provision to make changes in the Application Form before Click on Submit Button. h.     After submission of form Bank Challan will be displayed in two parts.

i.        Unique Application No. (Username) along with details of nonrefundable required fee Rs. 5,500 (Or Rs. 6500/- with late fee) will be available on challan and same details will be mailed to the Candidate on his given E-mail ID.

j.       Candidate should take printout of Bank Challan. With this Challan pay the required fee in any Branch of State Bank of India on Second Working Day on-words, from the day of Printing Challan and obtain your copy of Challan indicating Journal ID/Transaction ID. (For example if you have submitted the application form online Application Form.

k.      Candidate should login with Application No. (User Name) and his/her unique Password to download the printout of Application Form. Candidate has to preserve the downloaded printout of Application Form for subsequent use.

l.        Applicants need not send copy of Application Form or any Document to this office.

m.   Please note that if you commit any mistake in filling the online Application Form, it cannot be corrected by this office. The office will take no responsibility of any kind for such forms.

a.     Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI from time to time.

b.     They should have successfully passed their MBBS / BDS from an Institution recognized by MCI / DCI.

c.      They must have completed or be completing their internship by 30th April 2015 at the latest.

d.     The minimum percentage of marks in the COMEDK PGET – 2015 shall be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (All India) and Other Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State.

e.     They should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI / DCI or any of the State Medical / Dental Council.

f.       Candidates who are unacceptable:

 

(i)   Candidates already holding a PG Degree in any specialty. 

(ii)Candidates who are pursuing a PG Degree / Diploma in any clinical specialty after securing the seat through COMEDK in the earlier years. 

(iii)           Candidates having selected a seat earlier through COMEDK and failed to join the college so selected or failed to surrender the said seat at the COMEDK level or having joined the college failed to pursue the course. 

(iv)           Candidates who have been debarred by COMEDK during the previous years for any examination malpractice. 

Note:

a.     Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria mentioned as above, the changes, if any, effected by MCI/DCI or any other competent Regulatory Authorities shall be adopted.

b.     In the case of an Indian national with the recognized degree from a Foreign University, the degree should have been duly registered in the country where the degree is obtained and should also have been recognized by the Medical/Dental Council of India.

c.      Rank list / Rank Card will be prepared only for those candidates who become eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the regulations of Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India.
