All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh has announced the exam dates for Research Management Aptitude Test (RMAT), which will be conducted in May 2015. RMAT will be held on Saturday, May 09, 2015.

RMAT is conducted for taking to admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Business Administration program for the academic year 2015.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have:

·         Master’s degree in Management or allied subjects from Commerce,

·         Humanities, Science, Engineering and Law etc. or a PGDM/PGDITM approved by AICTE with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade OR Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy or any other professional qualification which are considered equivalent to master degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation. And

·         Minimum 5 years post qualification work experience in industry at the managerial level or a minimum 5 years of teaching experience as full time Faculty in a Management Institute approved by AICTE or affiliated to a university.

How to Apply:

Application Procedure for RMAT 2015:

·         Candidates can apply online.

·         Send the duly completed print version of online application form having auto generated registration no. to “Manager (PhD Program), AIMA-CME, Management House, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003".

·         Candidates are required to obtain a demand draft for Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of 'All India Management Association' payable at New Delhi, in advance.

Paper Pattern for RMAT 2015:

The duration of the test is 90 minutes.

There are 100 questions.

All questions are compulsory.

Each question has four options marked (1), (2), (3) and (4).

All questions carry equal mark.

There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

The fee structure for the PhD Programme is as under:

There would be continuation charges @ Rs 15000/- = in second, third and fourth year and Rs 20000/- = for subsequent extension for 6 months.

(Candidate residing outside India will have to pay the fee in US Dollar at the prevailing rate of Indian currency at the time of payment as given above. An additional amount equivalent to INR 25,000/- should be paid towards correspondence charges by international students).

The Diplomate of National Board (DNB) invites application form eligibile candidates for Final Examination (Broad Specialty) during the admission session June 2015
Information bulletin and application form for Diplomate of National Board Final Examination (Broad Specialties)

National Board of Examination (NBE) shall conduct the DNB Final Examination on 13th & 14th June 2015 in various Specialities

DNB - Final is an exit examination leading to the award of DNB qualification

A candidate holding a medical qualification (DM/ MS) i.e. having passed the final examination in a specialty recognized as per the provisions of Indian Medical Council

A candidate registered with the Board as a DNB trainee and obtaining requisite period of training as prescribed by the Board & fulfilling other eligibility criteria as stated in the Information Bulletin may appear for the DNB final examination (Broad Specialty)

Applications for admission to the examination should definitely reach NBE by the specified date

Eligibility (Broad Specialty):

a) DNB training: Candidates who have undergone training as a DNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations accredited institute or any medical college/university recognized institute after having registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and are completing their prescribed (as per registration letter) training as DNB trainee as per the following schedule:

Cut off date for completion of DNB Training: 15th November 2015

Can undertake the DNB Final Examination in the same specialty subjected to completion of training by the date mentioned & submission of certificate to this effect
Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre-requisite. In case the candidate does not submit the training Completion certificate (as per applicable format given in Annexure III & IV) with the application form, his/her application may be rejected and fees forfeited

b) MD/MS: Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Degree from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 i.e. have passed the final examinations for MD/MS degrees on or before 31st April 2015 can apply for the DNB Final examination in same broad specialty

Submission of proof of having passed the MD/MS final examination on or before 31st April 2015 is an essential prerequisite. In case the candidate does not submit the requisite proof of passing MD/MS before 30th April 2015, his/ her application shall be rejected & fees forfeited

c) Post Diploma: Candidates who are registered with the Board and completing their prescribed training (as per the registration letter) by 15th October 2015 are eligible (Admission Session July 2013) Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre- requisite

In case the candidate does not submit the training Completion certificate and leave records (as per applicable format given in Annexure-III & IV) with the application form, his/her application may be rejected and fees forfeited

For Board Specialities: The DNB Final is a two-stage exam comprising of theory and practical component

An eligible candidate who has qualified the theory examination is permitted to appear in the practical exam

A candidate unsuccessful in the first attempt of practical examination is permitted to undertake two more attempts in practical these attempts shall be any 2 practical exams of the exams placed with the next 3 sessions of theory examination and after payment of full examination fees as may be prescribed by NBE

Examination (Broad Specialities)

Theory Exam:

i) The theory examination comprises of four papers, maximum marks 100 each
ii) There are 10 short notes of 10 marks each in the question paper. The number of short notes and their respective marks weightage may vary in some subjects/some papers.
iii) Maximum time permitted is 3 hours for each question paper
iv) Candidate must score at least 50% in the aggregate of 4 papers to qualify the theory examination

v) Candidates appearing for General Medicine, Paediatrics and Family Medicine 4 paper shall be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based exam; there shall be 200 questions of single response type

Each question shall carry 0.5 marks i.e. maximum marks shall be 100
There shall be negative marking of 20% i.e., each correct answer will give 0.5 marks and each incorrect response shall lead to deduction of 0.1 marks
vi) Only those candidates who have qualified the theory examination are permitted to take up the practical exam

Practical Exam:

i) Maximum Marks: 300
ii) Comprises of Clinical Examination and Viva
iii) Candidate must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the Clinical/Examination (including Viva) to qualify for the Practical Exam
There are no grace marks in Practical Examination
iv) There are a maximum of three attempts that can be availed by a candidate for Practical Exam
v) First attempt is the practical examination following immediately after the declaration of theory results
vi) Second and third attempt in practical examination shall be permitted out of the next three sessions of practical examinations placed alongwith the next three successive theory examination sessions; after payment of full examination fees as may be prescribed by NBE
vii) Absentation from Practical Examination is counted as an attempt

How to Apply:

Application Form

Candidate is required to download the Application Form 1 & Application Form 2 from the website and submit the duly filled Application Forms along with the necessary documents before the prescribed cut off date i.e. 06th May 2015

Enclose photocopies of certificates and Pay-In-Slip (NBE copy) with the Application Form

The check list as in this information bulletin is to be annexed with the application form to be submitted to the NBE office

Candidates who are not in service shall get their forms signed by a Gazetted Officer

Applications of candidates producing false or fabricated records will not be considered and the candidate may be further debarred from appearing in any future examinations

Candidates should ensure before applying for the registration that their MBBS/ MD/MS/Diploma/DM/M.Ch is recognized by MCI

If it is found at any time that the Degree/Diploma is not recognized by MCI then the NBE will have the right to cancel the registration. Registration with NBE is mandatory for all candidates appearing in DNB Examinations

Entrance Exam DetailEligibility:

Candidates who have secured at least 55 per cent marks (50 per cent for OBC/SC/ST/PWD) in Master's Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.

Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master's degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed can apply for the exam on provisional basis.

Candidates with a Ph.D. degree whose Master's level examination had been completed by September 19, 1991 will be given a relaxation of 5 per cent in aggregate marks requirement.

Age limit:

The applicant should not be more than 28 years of age as on June 6, 2015.

Paper pattern:

The Examination consists of 3 papers of objective-type questions divided into 2 sessions. Papers 1 and 2 will be covered in first session and Paper 3 in session two. Arts subjects including Social Sciences and Languages are handled by UGC while Science Subjects such as Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences are managed by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) jointly with UGC.

How to Apply:

Interested and eligible candidates have to apply online through the official website

Before applying the candidate must have scanned a passport size photograph in JPEG format of less than 300 kb.

Once the candidate has submitted the duly filled online application for NET, the computer will automatically generate a 'Bank Challan'. The candidates is required to take a printout of the generated bank challan in order to pay the application fee  through cash, on the next working day at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) along with Bank charges (commission) of Rs 40/-

EXAMINATION FEE AND MODE OF PAYMENT:

For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 600/-; for Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website, the fee is Rs. 300/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is Rs.150/-

i) The candidates may pay the examination fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form. In case of e-challan the payment should be made in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank. In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card the additional processing charges as following will also be debited from the credit/debit card of the candidate

Credit Card: 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.

Debit Card: 0.75% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.

ii) After filling all the details for applying online for NET, the candidate will have the option to select the mode of payment of examination fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form indicating your details therein

iii) The candidate is required to check the status of fee payment at CBSE website (website) and if the status is ‘OK’ the candidate will be able to take the printout of online Application Form (one copy), Attendance Slip (one copy) and Admission Card (one copy) on separate A-4 size papers. In case, the fee payment status is not ‘OK’ the candidates are advised as following:

·         If the fee is paid through e-challan by depositing cash in the above mentioned bank, the candidate should contact immediately the concerned bank to update his/her fee status on the website

·         If the fee is paid through credit/debit card and status is not ‘OK’, it means the transaction is cancelled and the amount will be refunded to concerned credit/debit card within a week. Such candidates have to pay the fee once again

iv) The candidate has to attach the copy of the Bank Challan (in case fee is paid by e-challan) with the printout of online Application Form which he/she has to submit to the Registrar/Principal of UGC-NET Coordinating Institution opted by the candidate.

v) Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has announced the exam dates for Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED), which will be conducted in May 2015. UCEED will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015.

UCEED is conducted for taking to admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at IIT Bombay for the session 2015.

Eligibility:

Eligibility Criteria for Appearing In UCEED 2015

A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfill each and every one of the following three criteria to appear in UCEED 2015.

Criterion 1 Age limit: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1995 if belonging to the GEN or OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1990 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Criterion 2 Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. However, UCEED 2015 being the first UCEED examination, it will be the first attempt for all candidates.

Criterion 3 Class XII (or equivalent) examination: The candidate should have passed their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2014, OR passed or appeared in 2015.

Those who appeared for the first time in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2013 or earlier are NOT eligible.

The candidates appearing in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2015 should ensure that: (a) all parts of their final examination are completed by the date of registration in IIT Bombay, and (b) proof of having passed the qualifying certificate with required eligibility, as specified by IIT Bombay, is submitted by September 30, 2015.

Eligibility Requirement for B.Des.

For admission to B. Des. the candidate should have passed in the Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.

If a Board awards only letter grades without providing information on the passing grade on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the passing grade and submit it at the time of online acceptance of the allocated seat. In case such a certificate is not provided, the decision taken by the B. Des. Admissions Committee will be final.

Paper Pattern for UCEED 2015:

·         There will be one question paper of 3 hours duration.

·         The question paper will be in English.

·         The question paper will be administered through a computer based test.

·         The question paper will carry a total of 300 marks.

·         The question paper will contain a total of 100 questions distributed among the 6 topics provided in the syllabi.

The question paper will consist of 3 sections:

·         Section A: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

·         Section B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ).

·         Section C: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced the exam dates for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE), which will be conducted in May 2015. JCECE will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015.

JCECE is conducted for taking to admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Agriculture and Forestry and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) programs for the session 2015.

Eligibility Criteria for JCECE 2015:

Residential – Aspirants must be a Permanent/Local resident of Jharkhand as per letter no. 5/vivid-9/2001 (domicile) ka. 2691/Ranchi, dated 29.04.2002 of Personnel, Administrative Reforms & Raj Bhasa, Govt. of Jharkhand AND have procured proper Local Residential Certificate issued by proper authority assigned by Govt. of Jharkhand.

Reservation - Aspirants must be a Permanent/Local resident of Jharkhand AND have procured proper Local Residential Certificate & Caste Certificate issued by proper authority assigned by Govt. of Jharkhand to get the reservation as per RESERVATION POLICY of Govt. of Jharkhand. Up-to-date reservation policy of Govt. of Jharkhand will be followed in all courses of Govt. and Private Institutes situated in Jharkhand State.

Age Limit Criteria –

B. Tech. Course - Aspirants of any age can apply.

M.B.B.S. Course – Aspirants must completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission.

Agriculture & Forestry Course - Aspirants minimum age should be 17 years and maximum 22 years as on 1st july of the examination year. Age relaxation of three years in maximum age limit for SC/ST candidates.

Animal Husbandry [B.V.Sc. & A.H.] Course - Aspirants minimum age should be 17 years as on 31st December of the examination year.

Educational Qualification –

1.     B.Tech. Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria as per the guidelines of AICTE, Delhi for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject and He/She has obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.] .

2.     M.B.B.S. Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria as per the guidelines of MCI, Delhi for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to reserve category, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.]

3.     Agriculture & Forestry Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject along with one of the Mathematics/Biology. 4.     Animal Husbandry [B.V.Sc. & A.H.] Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria as per the guidelines of V.C.I. for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subject. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.]

How to Apply:

JCECE 2015 Application Form

To apply for admissions, candidates need to submit JECEC 2015 application form. The forms were issued on 7 April 2015 and candidates may avail it till 27 April 2015. Candidates will also have to pay fee, which can be paid online and offline. Application fee is Rs.550 and Rs.600 for PCM and PCMB, respectively. SC/ST/PwD candidates are required to pay Rs.275 and Rs.325 for PCM and PCMB, respectively. Modes of payment include online and offline.

·         Online mode: Debit/credit card or net banking

·         Offline mode: e-challan

There are several steps of filling the application form, which are discussed in brief here. Candidates have to follow all the steps so that they don’t miss any step and get their form rejected.

1– Registration

Enter all of your details as asked correctly and completely. You shall be given an application form number, password thru e-mail. Save these details for future login.

2 – Filling the application form

Login your account using application number, password sent via email. Enter personal details, communication details, and educational details.

3 – Uploading of images

·         Photograph

A scanned copy of recent passport size color photograph with a light background in JPG format with a file size of not more than 500 KB. Photograph dimensions – 3.5 x 4.5 cm.

·         Signature

Scan signature in black in on a white paper in JPEG format with a file size of not more than 500 KB. Signature dimensions – 3.5 x 1.5 cm.

·         Left Thumb Impression

4 – Payment of JCECE 2015 Application Fees

·         Online Payment

Pay the fees via Debit/Credit Cards OR Net Banking. You can choose the mode while paying the fees. You can submit the application form after payment of fees.

·         Through Challan

You can download and print the e-challan of Bank of India. Payment can be made at any branch of the bank. Fees have to be deposited in the account no. 499820110000015 on behalf of JECEB at Ranchi. Once done with payment, collect the receipt of payment. Update these payment details on the application form. You shall be given 24 hours to do the update in the application form. So it is suggested that you access the application form the same day as the payment of fees is done at the branch.

5 – Provisional Registration Slip

Those who have submitted the application can take printout of the Provisional Registration Slip. Further, keep it safe for counselling and admission process. You may be asked to show it as and when required so keep it intact.

JCECE 2015 Result

Result of the exam will be issued by the board in the mid-week of June 2015. The result shall be published in the form of a merit list. List would be formed on the basis of marks obtained in the exam. Candidates can see the result online on the  website of JCECE 2015 by entering their roll number, and application number. On entering the details correctly, result would be shown on the screen.

Candidates have to generate its printout and keep it safe for the future purpose. In the list, only those candidates’ names would be included who successfully cross the cutoff limit and score marks more than the cutoff decided. They will be given the chance to mark options of colleges and courses.

JCECE 2015 Counseling

Once the result is declared and merit list is formed, candidates would be given the chance to exercise options of colleges. This process is called counselling. Seats would be allotted on the basis of merit list. Tentative date of start of counselling is in the month of May 2015. There shall be multiple rounds of counselling which depends upon the number of candidates and vacancies. There shall be a variety of factors upon which allotment would be made. Some of them are – number of vacancies, number of seats, number of candidates per seat, reservation norms, previous year admission trends, allotments, withdrawals and confirmations.

The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) 2015 is conducted by the Council of the Institute Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)

No.13-CA (EXAM) / CPT / June / 2015: In pursuance of Regulation 22 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify that the Common Proficiency Test will be held on (Paper - Pencil Mode) will be held on 14th June, 2015 (Sunday) in two sessions as below, at the following centres provided that sufficient number of candidates offer themselves to appear from each centre

[This Common Proficiency Test will be conducted as per provisions of Regulation 25 D (3) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988]

Eligibility:

Only those students who are already registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the said course and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions have the option to apply CA CPT Exam. The required eligibility criteria are:

Candidate who has passed Std. X examination or equivalent can join CPT after registration with the Board of Studies & can appear after appearing for Std. XII.

Candidates, who have passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA at the first attempt, are also eligible to apply.

Those candidates, who have appeared or are appearing in final year of the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply.

A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test on or before April 1st and October 1st for appearing in CPT examination which is held in June respectively every year.

CA-CPT Exam Dates & Pattern

Common Proficiency Test will be held on (Paper - Pencil Mode) will be held on 14th June, 2015 (Sunday)

i) First Session (i.e. Morning Session): 10.30 A.M. to 12.30 P.M (IST) 

Section-A: Fundamentals of Accounting; Section-B: Mercantile Laws

ii) Second Session (Afternoon Session): 02.00 P.M. to 04.00 P.M.

Section-C: General Economics; Section-D: Quantitative Aptitude

CPT is divided into two sessions of two hours each.  In the first session there are two sections: Section A – Fundamentals of Accounting carrying 60 marks and Section B – Mercantile laws carrying 40 marks.  In the second session there are two sections: Section C – General Economics carrying 50 marks and Section D – Quantitative Aptitude also carrying 50 marks.

A minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate is required for a candidate in order to be declared as pass in CPT exam. It is to be noted that there is no requirement of securing minimum marks in any subject/section in CPT, but appearance in both sessions of CPT is mandatory.

For each correct answer, the students will be awarded 1 mark and for each wrong answer students lose 0.25 mark.

How to Apply:

Application Form

Applications for admission to Common Proficiency Test is required to be made in the relevant prescribed form as contained in the Information Brochure, which may be obtained from the Additional Secretary (Examinations), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi-110002 on payment of Rs.1500/- (Rs. 500/- towards examination fee and Rs. 1000/- towards cost of application form and Information brochure) per application form

The fee for candidates opting for Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha and Bahrain centres will be US $170 (US $ 150 towards examination fee and US $ 20 towards cost of application form and information brochure) or its equivalent Indian Currency

The fee for the candidates opting for Kathmandu centre are required to remit INR.1850/- (INR 850/- towards examination fee and INR 1000/- towards the cost of application form and information brochure) or its equivalent foreign Currency

Since the cost of Information brochure containing Common Proficiency Test application form includes the examination fee, no separate fee is required to be remitted at the time of submitting the filled in application form

The Information brochure containing Common Proficiency Test application form will also be available in the Regional and Branch Offices of the Institute and can be obtained there from on cash payment on or from 07th April, 2015

Common Proficiency Test application forms duly filled in may be sent so as to reach the Additional Secretary (Examinations) at New Delhi not later than 28th April, 2015. Applications received after 28th April, 2015 shall not be entertained under any circumstances. Applications duly filled in will be received by hand delivery at the offices of Institute at New Delhi and at the Decentralised Offices of the Institute at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Nagpur, Pune, Surat, Thane and Vadodara upto 28th April, 2015

Candidates residing in these cities are advised to take advantage of this facility. It may be noted that there is no provision for acceptance of application forms after 28th April, 2015 with late fee

The candidates who fill up the examination application form online at from 07th April, 2015 (10.00 hrs) to28th April, 2015 (17.30 hrs) and remit the fee online by using either VISA or MASTER Credit/ Debit Card shall not be charged Rs.1000/- (i.e. cost of application form fee)

The aforesaid Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only to students registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the Common Proficiency Course on or before 1st April, 2015 and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.

Veterinary Council of India invites applications for All India Pre-Veterinary Test for filling up 15% of total number of seats in Veterinary Colleges in India (except from Jammu & Kashmir State) from Indian Nationals for admission to 1st year of B.V.Sc. & A.H. course for academic session 2015-16.

Note:- Students from the State of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to appear in this test, as that State has not adopted the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 in the State of Jammu & Kashmir. The details may be seen in the Information Bulletin.

1.      DATE AND VENUE OF EXAMINATION: Saturday, the 20th June 2015 (time 2.00 to 5.00 P.M.) at the centres (cities) stated in the Information Bulletin.

2.      DURATION OF COURSE: The duration of B.V.Sc. & A.H degree course is spread over five complete academic years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

Eligibility:

An applicant is eligible for admission to the All India Pre-Veterinary Test if the following criteria are met with:

Nationality: Candidates should be Indian Nationals except the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Since the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 have not been extended to the State of Jammu & Kashmir, candidates from that State shall not be eligible to appear in the said examination unless they submit an Affidavit in enclosed Proforma on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 10/- duly attested by Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:-

They are not eligible to compete for B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats in the State of Jammu & Kashmir and hence, not eligible to seek admission in Veterinary Colleges of Jammu & Kashmir and they are not domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.

Note: Applications not accompanied with the required Affidavit shall be rejected without any further reference in this matter. Such Affidavits submitted by the candidates shall be verified and if found to be false, the admission of all such candidates shall be cancelled and legal proceedings initiated against them.

Essential Qualification: He/She has passed:

i.        The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 (years) educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

OR

ii.      The Intermediate Science examination in science from a recognized University/Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects) and English.

Minimum Marks: To be eligible for All India Pre-Veterinary Test, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above. Further, he/she should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2 /Intermediate Science Examination. Provided also that to be eligible for All India Pre-Veterinary Test the candidate must have passed the aforesaid subjects individually.   For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/the Scheduled Tribes or other special category (Other Backward Classes) of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for General Category.

Physical Disability:

A candidate shall not be allowed admission to B.V.Sc & A.H. degree course including those admitted under 15% reserved quota of Veterinary Council of India if he/she suffer disabilities in physical fitness as listed below:-

a.     Disability of total body including disability of chest/spine more than 50%,

b.     Disability of lower limb of more than 50%,

c.      Disability of upper limb,

d.     Visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability,

e.     Candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc.

f.       Disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of duties of a veterinarian.

Note: - (i) A candidate who is taking the qualifying examination prior to the All India Pre-Veterinary Test, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the examination but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks as per the Minimum Standard of Veterinary Education-Degree Course (B.V.Sc & A.H.) Regulations, 2008 on or before 30th June, 2015 and submit the documentary proof during counselling, if selected, (ii) In pursuance of the Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 10.4.2008 and according to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development vide O.M. NO. 1-1/2005-UIA/847 dated 20.4.2008 it has been decided to implement OBC reservation in respect of seats being contributed to the All India Quota by the Central Educational Institutions only.

3.      Age: He/She has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2015. Candidates attaining seventeen years on 1st January, 2016 or later will not be eligible to appear at the All India Pre-Veterinary Test.

“M.Sc (Mathematics Education)” is the first Meta University concept based course jointly offered by University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia

The course aims to prepare innovative mathematics educators, who can bring informed change in mathematics pedagogy. The course is administratively run by Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) from University of Delhi (DU) and AJK Mass Communication Research Centre from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have a Graduate degree in any discipline provided the applicant has done at least two full-fledged papers in mathematics at undergraduate level

The students appearing in final year of undergraduate degree program (result awaited) can also apply and appear in the entrance test subject to the condition that they shall fulfill the eligibility criteria before the commencement of classes

i) University of Delhi: 10 seats

ii) Jamia Millia Islamia: 10 seats

Reservation: The distribution of 10 seats each at University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia is as per their reservation policy as shown below:

DU – 10 Seats (Gen – 05, OBC – 02, SC – 02 & ST – 01)

JMI – 10 Seats (Gen – 05, Muslim Gen – 03, Muslim OBC/Muslim ST – 01 & Muslim Women – 01)

Admission Procedure

The administrative center for conducting the entire admission process for the course will be the Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi

The admission to the course will be through an entrance test (85% weightage) followed by an interview (15% weightage)

Only those applicants which will be shortlisted on the basis of entrance test will be called for interview. The number of candidates called for interview will be four times of the number of seats

There is no need to attach copies of any certificate along with the application form

Original certificates of academic records, mark-sheets, certificates for reserved seats must be produced only at the time of the interview

All admissions are provisional and subject to the approval of the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia

Entrance Test

The entrance test will consist of 51 questions each carrying one mark and will be of one hour duration

The entrance test will contain questions based on mathematical skills, reasoning, mental ability, general awareness, communication skills in English language etc

The centers for the entrance test will only be at Delhi

Fee Structure: The per semester fee for the course will be Rs. 5000/- per student

Applicants can do online registration for admission in M.Sc (Mathematics Education) from 01st April 2015 to 30th April 2015 on DU

UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination 2015

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

Union Public Service Commission Combined Medical Services Examination is conducted every year for the recruitment of candidates, graduated in medical stream, into various Central Governmental Organisations and Services. The notification for CMS exam will be released in the month of March. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the governing body and is responsible for conducting the examination. The exam of CMS is conducted for recruitment of candidates in the following departments:

1.     Asst Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways.

2.     Asst Divisional Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service.

3.     Jr Scale Posts in Central Health Services.

4.     Medical Officer in the MCD.

5.     General Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council.

Eligibility Criteria:

1.     Candidates who want to apply for UPSC CMS 2015 Exam must fulfill all the eligibility criteria needed by the candidates. All the criterion that must be fulfilled are mentioned below:

2.     Candidates from India, Nepal and Bhutan can apply for UPSC CMS 2015 Exam.

3.     Refugee from Tibet who came to India prior to 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanent settling in India are also eligible for UPSC CMS 2015 Exam.

4.     The Indian origin candidates who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Sri lanka, Burma and East African counties consisting of Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Zaire with the intention of permanently settling in India are also eligible to apply and this condition is applicable for the candidates of Bhutan and Nepal also.

5.     The age limit for the candidates applying for UPSC CMS 2015 Exam is 32 years.

Admit CardThe eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination

The e-Admission Certificate will be made available in the UPSC website for downloading by the candidates

No admission certificate will be sent by post

For downloading the e-Admission Certificate/e-Admit Card the candidate must have his/her vital parameters like RID and date of birth or roll number (if received) and date of birth or name, father’s name and date of birth available with him/her If a candidate does not receive his/her e-Admission Certificate or any other communication regarding his/her

Candidature for the examination three weeks before the commencement of the examination, he/she should at once contact the Commission

In case no communication is received in the Commission’s Office from the candidate regarding non-receipt of his/her e-Admission certificate at least two weeks before the examination, he/she himself/herself will be solely responsible for non-receipt of his/her e-Admission Certificate

Application Fee:

1.     Applicants should pay 200/- as application fee in any branch of SBI either by person or through Net Banking facility of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore using Visa Card/ Debit Card/ Master Card.

2.     Candidates from SC/ ST/ PH categories and female candidates are exempted from the payment of fees.

CMS Exam Pattern

Part I is wriiten examination of 500 marks. You have to take the written examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each paper is of 2 hours duration

Part II is personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination. There is negative marking of 1/3 of mark for each incorrect answer

Computer Based Test: Written examination for Combined Medical Services Examination for two objective type papers was being conducted through the OMR sheets

Pay Scale: Selected candidates for all post will be eligible to grab salary of Rs. 15600/- to Rs. 39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-

AP ECET 2015 - Engineering Common Entrance Test 2015

 The Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) 2015 will be held by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological (JNT) University Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for the Academic year 2015-16. The test evaluates students for admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Pharmacy programmes in the All India Council for Technical Education/Pharmacy Council of India (AICTE/PCI) approved institutions. Candidates should have a diploma in technology, engineering or pharmacy, or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics.

Programmes

The test evaluates students for admission to the following types of programmes in AICTE/PCI approved institutions and universities:

-        B.Tech.

-        B.E.

-        B.Pharmacy

Eligibility:

In order to appear for the test, you must be of Indian nationality and belong to Andhra Pradesh. Make sure that you qualify for local/non-local status requirements. For educational background, you should have one of the following:

·         Diploma in engineering, technology or pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State or an equivalent recognized diploma

·         45 percent marks are required (40 percent for reserved category candidates)

·         Three-year B.Sc. degree exam with mathematics from a recognized university in Andhra Pradesh

·         Current enrollment in a diploma program, and complete practical training for the course prior to college admission

Further eligibility requirements apply based on subject, as you may need to earn a specific diploma in order to enter a particular degree course in engineering or pharmacy.

Exam pattern

Three hours are allotted for the 200-question exam. All questions are multiple choice objective type. Depending on whether you hold a diploma or the B.Sc. in mathematics, the syllabus differs. The test varies according to subject. The three papers are listed below with the maximum marks possible. Question papers are offered in English only.

Engineering

·         Physics: 25 marks

·         Chemistry: 25 marks

·         Engineering: 100 marks (separate paper for each branch)

·         Total: 200 marks

B.Sc. (Mathematics)

How to Apply:

The application for the test is available online only (www.apecet.org). The registration fee is Rs. 300, but additional fees apply. The fee can be paid at AP online centres, mee-seva centers, e-seva centres in AP or with a debit/credit card. Make sure to print out the completed application. You must bring this with you on exam day with a passport sized photograph affixed. It is also your responsibility to make sure you have the correct question booklet for the subject in which you are eligible to take admission.
