Jaipur National University (JNU), Jaipur came into existence in the year 2007. Two professional institutes of the Seedling Group, established in 2002, with several technical & professional programmes of studies, were merged with the University to form its major part. In 2008, an expert panel of UGC members accorded approval to our programmes under Clause 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The School of Distance Education and Learning was accorded approval by the Joint Committee of the UGC- AICTE- DEC for offering programmes through Distance Education mode. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. National Institute of Rural Development is an autonomous organisation of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The institute's services are available to different ministries/ departments of the Central and State Governments, banking institutions, public and private sector organisations, civil society organisations and other national and international agencies connected with rural development. 13th Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM) January-December 2017

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for 12th Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management PGDRDM in National Institute of Rural Development, NIRD, Hyderabad

Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1 st January, 2017, may also apply.

SELECTION PROCESS: Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including English Language. Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed candidates.

ENTRANCE TEST: The Entrance Test will be conducted on 06.11.2016 at the following centres: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur,Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvanantapuram. However, the NIRDPR reserves the right to cancel any of the centres or add new centres for any administrative reasons and assign any other centre to the applicants.

PROGRAMME DURATION: (One year) January 2017 – December 2017

COURSE FEE: For Open / OBC Category Rs.1.60 Lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging) For SC/ST/PWD category Rs.1.25 Lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging)

Board and Lodging: The annual board and lodging expenses will be Rs.1,00,000. Accommodation will be given to the students in the NIRDPR Hostel.

Caution Deposit: A refundable Caution Deposit of Rs.10,000 is to be paid along with the First Trimester Fee.

Seat Registration Fee: Upon selection, a non-refundable Seat Registration Fee of Rs. 20,000 should be paid by the Indian students. This amount will be adjusted against the First Trimester Fee.

SCHOLARSHIPS: 1. Ten students will be eligible for NIRDPR’s Scholarship based on their performance. 2. The North Eastern Council, Shillong, will be approached for giving fellowships to economically backward students of North Eastern states.

RESERVATION: Reservations for the students of the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Persons with Disability (PWD) will be made as per the Government of India norms.

PLACEMENT: NIRDPR will make efforts for placement, but does not guarantee the same.

About College:

The idea of starting a University at Lucknow was first mooted by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan, Khan Bahadur, K.C.I.E. of Mahmudabad, who contributed an article to the columns of "The Pioneer'' urging the foundation of a University at Lucknow. A little later Sir Harcourt Butler, K.C.S.I., K.C.I.E, was appointed Lieutenant-Governor of the United Provinces, and his well-known interest in all matters under his jurisdiction, specially in matters educational, gave fresh life and vigour to the proposal. The first step to bring the University into being was taken when a General Committee of educationists and persons interested in university education appointed for the purpose, met in conference at Government House, Lucknow, on November, 10, 1919. At this meeting Sir Harcourt Butler, who was in the chair, outlined the proposed scheme for the new university.

Burdwan is an anglicised version of the Sanskrit Vardhamana and the corresponding Bardhaman in Bengali. The origin of this name dates back to sixth century BC and is ascribed to the twenty-fourth Jain Tirthankar, orVardhamanswami, who spent some time in Astikagrama, according to the the Jain Kalpasutra. This place has been renamed as Vardhamana in his honour. A second view holds the literal meaning of the name, a prosperous and growing centre, to argue that this place represented a frontier colony of the progress of aryanisationthrough the upper Ganga valley. The Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University was established at Nanded by bi-furcating the Marathwada University, Aurangabad on 17th September 1994, the day on which in 1948 Hyderabad State was liberated from rule of the Nizam. Nanded is a district headquarters as well as a holy city situated on the banks of Godavari River in southeastern part of Maharashtra state.

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design UCEED 2017

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay is expected to be held in the 3rd week of January 2017. UCEED is conducted for taking to admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at Industrial Design Centre (IDC) for the session 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for UCEED 2017:

Criterion 1–Age Limit: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1996 if belonging to the GEN or OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1991 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Criterion 2–Number of attempts: Candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Note that UCEED score is valid for one year, and only for admissions in the corresponding academic year.

Criterion 3–Class XII (or equivalent) examination: The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2016, or will appear in 2017. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2015 or earlier are not eligible.

Application Procedure for UCEED 2017:

Candidates can apply online from 2nd week of October, 2016.

Paper Pattern for UCEED 2017:

There will be one question paper of 3 hours duration.

The question paper will be in English.

The question paper will be administered through a computer based test.

The question paper will carry a total of 300 marks.

The question paper will contain a total of 80 questions distributed among the 6 topics provided in the syllabus.

The question paper will consist of 3 sections:

Section A: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

Section B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ).

Section C: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

All 3 sections have negative marking.

Important Dates:

Last date for online registration: 4th week of November, 2016.

Start date for admit card: 4th week of December, 2016.

Date of UCEED: 3rd week of January 2017.
