About College:

Second Joint Indo-American Team (1960) headed by Dr. N.S. Randhawa recommended specifically the establishment of Farm Universities and spelt out the basic objectives of these Universities asInstitutional Autonomy ,Inclusion of Agriculture, Veterinary / Animal Husbandry and Home Science and Integration of Teaching, Research and Extension .Later, the report of the Second National Education Commission (1964-66), headed by Dr. D.S. Kothari stressed the need for establishing at least one Agricultural University in each Indian State. As a result, the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) was established on June 12, 1964 at Hyderabad. Sri O. PullaReddi, I.C.S. (Retired) was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University.

In accordance with the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University Act, 1963, some of the Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Science were transferred from the Universities to which they had been affiliated to the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University during June, 1964. These were: College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science, Hyderabad (established in 1961, affiliated to Osmania University), Agricultural College, Bapatla(established in 1945, affiliated to Andhra University), Sri Venkateswara Agricultural College, Tirupati (established in 1961, affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University) and Andhra Veterinary College, Tirupati (established in 1961, also affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University). In addition, 41 Agricultural Research Stations, functioning under the Department of Agriculture and four Research Stations of the Animal Husbandry Department were transferred to the University in July, 1966 and May, 1967, respectively.

How to Apply:

·         The applicant should use only Chrome/Firefox browsers while filling the application online.

·         The applicant should visit the website and fill the OTR (onetime registration) application with his/her or parents mobile number and avoid the mobile number of others.

·         The applicant should read and understand all the instructions and eligibility criteria for admission before proceeding to fill the online application form. The applicant is advised to take a print out of the instructions so that he/she can refer to the same while filling the form.

·         The applicant should furnish all the details while filling the Online Application Form. The applicant is advised to save the application in the draft format until final submission.

·         If an applicant has been found to have furnished wrong information or deliberately suppressed any relevant information or uploaded blank pages/false/fake documents, his/her application will be summarily rejected.

·         Payment of application fee: Rs.1800/- OC & BCs (in case of SC/ST/PH candidates Rs.900/-). The applicant has to select Debit Card /Credit Card (Visa / Master Card)/NET banking option to pay the fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of fee.

·         The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

·After successful submission of application and payment of fee, a PDF application will be generated with the particulars and attachments furnished by the applicant. The same should be downloaded, printed and brought on the counselling day.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture under NRI / NRI Sponsored Quota

Eligibility:

The applicant must have passed 12th standard (English Medium) from an Indian Board or an equivalent Board outside the country securing 50 per cent marks in each of the subjects of Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences. A good knowledge of English is compulsory. A certificate of the candidate’s proficiency in English issued by the respective Indian Mission

abroad or recognized agencies should accompany their applications for admission. The students seeking admission under the quota are not required to appear for any Entrance test(s).

Criteria for selection:

The selection of candidates shall be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the marks secured in Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent. In case of a tie, the marks in the optional subjects viz., Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry shall be taken into consideration and in case of further tie, the age of the candidate shall be taken into consideration and the older candidates shall be given preference. 

Age limit:

The applicant should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years.

The Directorate of Distance Education of this University was established in 1997 with four different programmes namely; MBA, PGDCA, BBA & CIC. Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) is an Institute of National Importance. It was formerly known as Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT), which was India's one of the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges. The institute has been named after the great scholar, educationist and the first education Minister of Govt. of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The Govt. of India and Govt. of Madhya Pradesh jointly sponsored the Institute in 1960 to attract bright young students from across the country. Master of Business Administration (MBA) Full time

Eligibility:

The candidate must hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification with minimum 55% (CGPA 5.5), for reserved category students SC/ST/PWD relaxation of 5% (0.5 in CGPA) shall be applicable and either Valid CAT or GMAT score. Short listed candidates will be called for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). Selection depends on rank list prepared by the Institute giving weightage 70% Valid CAT/ GMAT score, 20% group Discussion and 10% personal interview. The reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH will be as per Government of India norms.

No Individual information will be sent. The application form completed in all respect along with the (State Bank of India collect receipt) non refundable processing fee of Rs.1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PH candidates application should be submitted to Assistant Registrar (Academic/Exam), MANIT, Bhopal 462003 on or before 24/06/2019. Bangalore University, Bangalore was established in 1964 as an off shoot of University of Mysore, primarily to include institutions of higher learning located in the metropolitan city and the districts of Bangalore, Kolar and Tumkur which eventually became a separate university. Initially, the two premier colleges of the city, the Central College and the University Visvesvaraya College of engineering formed the nucleus of Bangalore University. The University was first accredited in 2002 by NAAC with five stars status and was re-accredited in 2008 with A Grade. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

Eligibility:

·         A candidate shall work for Ph.D. degree in a subject studied at the Master’s Degree or related subject under a recognized research supervisor. However, a candidate may be allowed to conduct research in a subject other than one chosen for the Master’s Degree, provided it is of an inter-disciplinary nature, with the approval of the concerned Board of Studies.

·         If the research topic is of an inter-disciplinary nature, the research supervisor may opt for a co-supervisor (not be from the same department) who shall be a recognized research supervisor of the University. However the candidate shall finalize and submit the thesis through the main research supervisor.

·         There shall be two types of research candidates: full-time and part-time candidates. Full-time Ph.D candidates undertake research on a full-time basis. The Part-time Ph.D. programme is for working persons in the University and outside such as teachers/ scientists/ professionals / librarians/ physical education personnel and those employed in various institutions/ industries/ corporations/ organizations.

·         Those in employment and wish to take up the Ph.D. programme on a full-time basis shall produce a certificate from their employer of having been sanctioned study leave. Other candidates who take up the Ph.D. programme on a full-time basis shall give an undertaking to the effect that they will not take up any job during the period of research. If the candidate takes up a job, then the full-time registration may be converted into part-time on conditions similar to part-time research.

·         The Ph.D scholar shall not be permitted to join any other course whether in regular and/or distance mode. They shall not appear for any other examination conducted by the University or any other University during the period of registration, except the Ph.D course work end examination. Any candidate who violates this provision, the registration will stand cancelled. 

·         If any candidate doing Ph.D. on a full-time basis is found to be doing a full-time job, his/ her Ph.D registration will stand cancelled.

·         The eligible candidates shall submit the application in the prescribed format given on the website (APPLICATION – A) to the Registrar (Evaluation)/ Officer designated for the purpose in response to the notification of the University.

·         If any Ph.D. candidate is found to have submitted fake records while securing admission to the Ph.D. course, his/ her registration shall stand cancelled without any notice and may also be liable for criminal action.
