The candidate should have a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree for individual streams.

The candidate should have also qualified through Common Entrance Examination for Design for 2020 (CEED 2020).

All candidates having a degree from foreign universities should submit equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi for qualifying degree and proof of having 55% or equivalent in the qualifying degree. Indian SC/ST/PwD candidates should have 50% or equivalent in the qualifying degree. Candidates should produce this certificate at the time of written test and interview, failing to this admission committee will reject the application.

All candidates who have qualified CEED 2020 and meet the eligibility criteria of each stream can apply for admission to M.Des. for various streams (AN, CD, ID, IN, and MD) in IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay.

Industry sponsored candidates can apply for admission after having qualified through CEED 2020, if they fulfil the required eligibility criteria for respective streams.

Application forms have to be filled online and the fees have to be paid online. Candidates also have to complete tasks A, B and C for each stream applied for and upload these tasks along with other documents. Candidates who wish to apply to more than one stream, will have to fill the form for each stream separately along with the fee.

A relaxation in CGPA/marks to 0.5 (5%) is also available to those with M.A. Degree in English, for admission to Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences. For Full Time Ph.D./M.Tech./M.S.(R) programme, the qualifying GATE/National Exam is required. For M.Des. Programme, a valid CEED score required.

1)    The candidates must have passed in Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as one of the subject in Class 12 / Equivalent Examination.

a)    Bachelor of Computer Applications, or

b)    B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or

c)    B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at graduate level.

4)    Candidates with above mentioned qualifications (item-3) must have minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in average in graduation, marks to be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared.

5)    Candidates with B.Sc. Honours must have minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in average in their Honours subject.

6)    Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s Program in 2020 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 4 or 5 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the program provisionally. At the time of reporting for the verification of documents cum admission such an applicant must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:

a)    by 30 June 2020, (s)/he will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her Bachelor’s degree.

b)    (s)/he has obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item (4 or 5) above), based on latest available grades / marks.

Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification with requisite marks as per item (4 or 5) above. They must submit proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31 October 2020. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

7)    Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programs are eligible only if (a) the programs are recognized by the DEC-IGNOU (b) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks in average calculated as per item (4 or 5) above. They must carry original copy of pass certificate, marksheets of qualifying examination and proof of Institute recognized by the DEC-IGNOU along with their application during admission. The candidate must hold a master’s degree [or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Management / Economics / Social Science / Biological Science / Pure Science / Commerce / Humanities] with above 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a University incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Foreign applicants having Masters Degree with above 50% marks or equivalent will also be considered.

Candidates appearing for the final year of Master’s Degree / equivalent examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. Successful candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he / she submits a certificate latest by June 30th, 2020 from the Principal / Registrar of his / her College / Institute (issued on or before June 30th, 2020) stating that the candidate has completed all the formalities / requirements for obtaining the master’s degree / equivalent qualification on or before the date of the issue of certificate.

SCHOLARSHIP AND FACILITIES

All selected candidates are eligible for CIMP Fellowship. A fellowship of Rs. 20,000/- per month will be provided for a period of 4 years to the admitted candidates. All the candidates getting admission will be provided accommodation within the campus. Each candidate has to pay the mess bill and study material charges. They will have access to the library and other academic resources available at CIMP. As a part of the programme fellow students will be allowed to attend one international and two national academic conferences.

BITSAT-2020: A Computer Based Online Test for Admission to Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, 2020-21

Eligibility:

(i)           For admission to all the above programmes except B. Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.

(ii)          For admission to B. Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.

Admissions to all the programmes are subject to the conditions given below:

The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.

Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2020 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2020 test. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2020. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2020.

Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2020. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination, as mentioned above.

Direct Admission to Board Toppers:

In the past, admission process of the Institute always ensured guaranteed admission to all the students who obtained first ranks in their respective board examinations. This has given a very vital input of highly meritorious students from all over India. First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2020 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2020 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Further details about this scheme will be available at BITS admission website by 15th of May 2020.

Details of BITSAT-2020:

‘Computer Based Online test’ means the candidate sits in front of a computer and the questions are presented on the computer monitor and the candidate answers the questions on the computer through the use of keyboard or mouse. Each computer is connected to a server, which prepares the question set and delivers it to the candidate on the computer. This is unlike the traditional paperpencil based test, which is generally offered on a single day to all candidates. BITSAT-2020 will be offered over a period of time and the candidate can choose the Center, the Day and Time of his/her convenience to take the test, as described in the later sections.

BITSAT-2020 Test Format:

BITSAT-2020 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break). The test consists of four parts:

Part I : Physics

Part II : Chemistry

Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning

Part IV : Mathematics or Biology (For B. Pharm candidates)

All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted. While the candidate can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as correct answer. There will be 150 questions in all. 

There is no time limit for individual parts of the test. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 150 questions.

If a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology only; four questions from each part. Further, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he/she cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 150 questions.

Syllabus:

The BITSAT-2020 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. The detailed syllabus is given in the Annexure. Candidates may refer to the NCERT textbooks for the contents. A sample test demonstrating the features of BITSAT-2020 will be made available to the registered candidates at the BITS admission website on which he/she can practice as many times as desired.

Test Centers for BITSAT-2020:

In order to facilitate a large number of students all over India to participate in BITSAT-2020, apart from Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses of BITS where it is expected that a large number of students will take the test, the Institute is also planning to offer the tests at dedicated test centers in several other cities. A candidate has to complete the application form online at www.bitsadmission.com and pay the prescribed fees. Also take the printout of the filled-in form for your future reference. The prescribed fee for BITSAT-2020 is Rs. 3300/- (three thousand three hundred only) for male candidates and Rs. 2800/- (two thousand eight hundred only) for female candidates. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable. If a candidate chooses Dubai as a test center the application fee for both male and female candidates will be same and will be US $90 (Rs.6300). Details for payment of fees are available at the admission website while applying online.

Those who register for the test and reserve test dates have to download the ‘Hall ticket’, along with instructions, from BITS admission website as per the schedule given earlier. The tests will be conducted during 16th May – 25th May 2020.

Procedure for Applying for admission to BITS:

In addition to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2020, candidates have to also apply for admission to BITS giving details of their 12th marks and preferences to different degree programmes offered at three Indian campuses of BITS. The prescribed application form for admission, the detailed application procedure, details of academic flexibilities such as Dual Degree, transfer etc; admission modality and the final list of Degree programmes offered will be made available at the BITS admission website, by 18th May 2020. The completed application form with the required application fee has to be submitted online at the BITS admission site on or before 5.00pm on 18th June 2020.

Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam is an Institution of National Importance under the IIM Act 2017. PG Program for Experienced Professionals (PGPEx)

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for admission into the Program are as follows:

·         The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum 55% marks or equivalent) that has been recognized by an authorized body in India. The Bachelor's degree obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or its equivalent.

·         The applicant must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience as on May 29, 2020 at an officer/executive level or higher; as a professional or as an entrepreneur. Part time work experience, clerical (non-officer/ non-executive) experience and apprenticeship will not be considered as eligible work experience.

·         Applicants require a valid CAT, GMAT, GATE or GRE score to be considered for admission.

I. CAT score validity: Not more than two years old as on 29/5/2020

II. GATE score validity: Not more than three years old as on 29/5/2020

III. GMAT/GRE score validity: Not more than five years old as on 29/5/2020

Alternatively, applicants also can choose to apply for PGPEx by opting to take the IIMV Test.

How to Apply:

Application Process

·         The application form for admission to PGPEx (2020-22), will be available at https://admissions.iimv.ac.in/pgpex/

·         A non-refundable application fee of INR 1000/- is to be submitted along with the application. SC, ST, PwD, Women applicants are totally exempt from paying the application fee. NC-OBC and EWS applicants are required to pay 50% of the fee viz. INR 500/-.

·         Candidates those opting to appear for the IIMV Test will have to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 1000/- in addition to the application fee. There is no discount for any category of applicant in the IIMV Test fee.

·         Application fee and IIMV Test fee (both non-refundable) as mentioned above, should be paid on-line through the ‘Online Fee Payment’ SBI link in the Institute’s website.

·         This link will also be available in the admissions page for PGPEx.

·         The venue for IIMV Test will be IIM Visakhapatnam campus (only) and at no other City/Centre in India or abroad. IIMV Test will be a paper-and-pencil based test and not a computer-based test.

·         Applicants are required to ensure that the following documents are submitted along with the application form. It is emphasized that the application form will be considered to have been completed only upon submission of all the following documents. Incomplete applications and/or applications not adhering to the requirements specified herein are liable for rejection.

Documents to be submitted:

i)             Copy of Government issued Photo Identity proof (Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Aadhar etc.,)

ii)            SSC, HSC & Bachelors’ Degree Transcripts or Mark Sheets

iii)           Bachelor’s Degree Certificate

iv)           Master‘s Degree Certificate (if applicable)

v)            CAT / GMAT / GRE/ GATE Score Sheet (if applicable)

vi)           Work Experience letters / Last Pay-drawn Certificates (LPCs) / Authenticated Salary Slips (First & Last) - indicating Date of joining, Date of leaving (if any) and duration of service. The work experience letters, LPCs or the Salary Slips, as the case may be, would be required for each of the employment positions served by the applicant)

vii)          Copy of caste / disability certificate (SC / ST /NC-OBC /PwD / EWS) — if applicable

It may be noted that:

a) NC-OBC certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue; Applicants must ensure that they submit a valid certificate (valid till August 2020).

b) The PwD certificate must be issued by a Government hospital signed by a panel of three doctors or by a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) as per the PwD Act 2016.

c) EWS certificate must be issued by an officer of the rank of Tehsildar or above.

Applications to the PGPEx can be submitted by May 29, 2020.

Course Name:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) [Areas Offered: Data Science, Economics, Finance accounting and quantitative Finance, information Systems, Marketing, organizational behaviour and HR Operations Management, Strategic Management]

Eligibility:

Graduates of full-time degree course and candidates in the final year of the undergraduate degree are eligible to apply. Candidates from ODL (Open and Distance Learning) institutions are also eligible to apply as per the UGC policy and notification.

Applicants born on or after January 1, 1993 and on or before December 31, 2000 are eligible to apply.

Applicants are required to take any of the following standardized entrance exams – CAT 2019 / XAT 2020 / CMAT 2020 / GMAT / GRE.

There is a different cut off score for each entrance exam which is given in the section “Application Screening”. From among the entrance exam score given by the applicant, the best score will be considered subject to meeting the eligibility cut off.

While entrance exam scores are an important component of the admission process, they are not the sole criteria for admission. Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) will be based on parameters such as academic performance in Class X, Class XII, UG and performance in the competitive exams, in short called as “Qualifying parameters”.

Admission to the programme will be based on combined scores of qualifying parameters and interview parameters which include work experience and extra-curricular activities.

Work experience is not mandatory. Candidates with work experience of less than or equal to 36 months, as on the date of deadline for application, can apply
