How to Apply:

Pearl Academy Entrance Exam 2018 Process

Step 1: Fill Pearl Academy Application Form

In order to apply for design programmes offerd at the college, aspirants need to fill Pearl Academy Entrance Exam 2018 application form either in the online or offline mode. In the application form for Pearl Academy admissions, candidates need to fill information such as their personal details, choice of course, educational qualifications and work experience.

Step 2: Download Pearl Academy Admit Card

After candidates have successfully registered for Pearl Academy entrance exam 2018, they will be provided with an admit card which is a mandatory document that they need to carry to their exam centre. Aspirants are informed that they need to download their Pearl Academy Entrance Exam 2018 admit card from the official website. No separate admit card will be sent to students by post. Admit cards will be provided to students for written test as well as personal interview round conducted for Pearl Academy admissions 2018, four days before the Pearl Academy entrance exam.

Step 3: Appear for Pearl Academy Entrance Exam

Pearl Academy admission process is conducted in three cycles. Aspirants can appear for Pearl Academy entrance exam in any of these three admission cycles conducted in a given academic year. Pearl Academy admission cycles are conducted in the months of January, April and June, each year. The Pearl Academy entrance exam pattern and test duration varies from course to course.

Step 4: Appear for Personal Interviews

Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Pearl Academy entrance exam need to appear for a personal interview round. In the personal interview round conducted for Pearl Academy admissions 2018, aspirants are evaluated on the basis of their portfolio/studio test (conducted for Design streams).

Step 5: Check Pearl Academy Entrance Exam Results

In order to secure admission in any course offered at Pearl Academy, candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in both – Written Test and Personal Interview/Studio Test. Candidates who make it to the final merit list for Pearl Academy admissions will be allotted the programme as well as campus basis their rank and preference. Pearl Academy Entrance Exam 2018 results for each admission cycle will be declared separately. 

Candidates who are shortlisted for admissions at Pearl Academy are sent a formal “Admission Offer Letter” after the result is declared. “Candidates will be required to pay the fees by stipulated date to secure their seats. In case a successful candidate does not pay the fees within the stipulated date, the seat will be offered to other deserving candidates”, informs the official website.

Note: In a situation wherein a candidate is not selected for admission in his/her desired programme in a given admission cycle then such an aspirant is eligible to apply again in the next admission cycle.

The candidates should have at least one of the following qualifications Post Graduate degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA Qualifications of CA/ICWA/CS with at least 50% marks  Professional qualifications such as MBBS, LLB and similar qualifications with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA Engineering degrees, B.Tech/B.E, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA Candidates with qualifications equivalent to MBA as approved by the Association of Indian Universities. 

Qualifying Exam: A candidate should have a valid test score not older than two years from the date of application CAT conducted by IIMs; GMAT/GRE (General/Advanced); UGC/CSIR JRF (other JRFs will not be considered); GATE; PGDM of IIMs not older than 5 years. Those appearing for the final eligibility exams can also apply, but their final selection will be subject to successful completion of the requirement. Such applicants should submit the required proof of their eligibility qualification.

Candidates possessing PGDM of IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 5.5 out of 10 or equivalent will be eligible for applying directly (without again taking qualifying examination) 

Non-Resident Indians, Persons of Indian origin and other foreign citizens should have a valid GMAT/GRE score of not older than two years from the date of application 

Personal Interview: The number of candidates to be called for interview in each area will be decided by the area from year to year 

The shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview at IIM Rohtak or any other venue fixed by the Institute during April, 2017 which will be mentioned in the call letter for interview 

In the interviews, the candidates will be assessed for their intellectual capabilities, research aptitude and interest in the management discipline 

Financial Aid: The participants of the FPM will be given a fellowship of Rs 25,000/- per month in the first and second years, and Rs 30,000/- per month for the third and fourth years 

In addition to this, a merit fellowship of Rs 10,000/- per month in the second year and Rs 15,000/- per month in the third and fourth years is given to the deserving participants 

All the participants will receive a contingency grant of Rs 1,85,000/- distributed across four years of the programme

About College:

The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon'ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it. The report also urged the speedy establishment of all the four institutions with the ones in the East and the West to be started immediately. The committee also felt that such institutes would not only produce undergraduates but they should be engaged in research, producing research workers and technical teachers as well. The standard of the graduates should be at par with those from first class institutions abroad. They felt that the proportion of undergraduates and postgraduate students should be 2:1. 
With the above recommendations of the Sarkar committee in view, the first Indian Institute of Technology was born in May 1950 in Hijli, Kharagpur, in the eastern part of India. Initially the IIT started functioning from 5, Esplanade East, Calcutta and very soon shifted to Hijli in Sept. 1950. The present name 'Indian Institute of Technology' was adopted before the formal inauguration of the Institute on August 18, 1951, by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. IIT Kharagpur started its journey in the old Hijli Detention Camp where some of our great freedom fighters toiled and sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. The history of IIT Kharagpur is thus intimately linked with the history of the Hijli Detention Camp. This is possibly one of the very few Institutions all over the world which started life in a prison house. 
The district of Midnapore along with rest of Bengal and India took part in a very significant way in the revolutionary struggle against the British Raj from the early 20th century.

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics PGDBA in Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Kharagpur

A candidate must hold a graduate /post graduate degree with of the following: 10+2+4, 10+2+5, 10+2+3+2 years of formal education with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree. For SC, ST and Differently Abled (DA) category candidates, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 55% (or equivalent CGPA). Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they complete their formal education as specified above the May, 31 2018

Written test and Personal Interview:

A written test will be held on February 18, 2018, and candidates shortlisted after the written test will be called for personal interview to be held in March/April, 2017. Proposed cities for Written Test and Personal Interview are: Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai.

Reservation: As per the Government of India stipulations for SC, ST, NC-OBC and Differently Abled (DA) candidates.

Candidates can apply online. Self-attested copies of all requested documents should be uploaded.

Application fee is Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/ DA candidates).

Application fee has to be paid through the payment gateway at IIT Kharagpur’s online portal (SBIMOPS) at the time of final submission of application.

Selection Procedure for IIT, Kharagpur:

Candidates are shortlisted based on the performance in written test. Shortlisted candidates are called for personal interview.

The final selection would be made on the basis of performance in the written test, personal interview, work experience, and academic background.
