About College:

The Utkal University founded on 27.11.1943 is the mother University of Odisha. Pandit Nilakantha Dash, Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati and Pandit Godavarish Mishra, amongst other doyens of modern Orissa, played a leading role in the establishment of the University. On 27th of Nov 1943, the UtkalUniversity started functioning at Ravenshaw College ( now University), Cuttack. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, laid down the foundation of the present 400 acre sprawling campus on 1st January 1958. The University thereafter was singularly honoured when a great educationist Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India inaugurated the present campus at Vani Vihar on 2nd January 1963. It was originally an affiliating and examining body only.

A number of Post-Graduate Departments and other centers were established in the University Campus. There are more than three hundred general affiliated colleges under the University. The University has thirteen Autonomous Colleges under its jurisdiction. It has 27 constituent Post-Graduate Departments, 2Constituent Law Colleges, a Directorate of Distance & Continuing Education and a number of centers like Population Studies, School of Women's Studies, Ambedkar Study and Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy Study , an Academic Staff College, a Pre-School and a High School etc. The University offers number

IIT Bombay, the second in the chain of IITs, was set up in 1958.  It was the first IIT to be set up with foreign assistance.  The funds came from UNESCO in roubles from the Soviet Union.  In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as 'Institutes of National Importance'.  Since then, IIT Bombay has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the top technical universities in the world.

About College:

Rani Durgavati was born on 5th October 1524 A.D. in the family of famous Chandel emperor Keerat Rai. She was born at the fort of Kalanjar(Banda, U.P.). Chandel Dynasty is famous in the Indian History for the valiant king Vidyadhar who repulsed the attacks of Mehmood Gaznavi. His love for sculptures is shown in the world famed temples of Khajuraho and Kalanjar fort. Rani Durgavati's achievements further enhanced the glory of her ancestral tradition of courage and patronage of arts.

In 1542, she was married to Dalpatshah, the eldest son of king Sangramshah of Gond Dynasty. Chandel and Gond dynasties got closer as a consequence of this marriage and that was the reason Keerat Rai got the help of Gonds and his son-in-law Dalpatshah at the time of invasion of Shershah Suri in which Shershah Suri died.

She gave birth to a son in 1545 A.D. who was named Vir Narayan. Dalpatshah died in about 1550 A.D. As Vir Narayan was too young at that time, Durgavati took the reins of the Gond kingdom in her hands. Two ministers Adhar Kayastha and Man Thakur helped the Rani in looking after the administration successfully and effectively. Rani moved her capital to Chauragarh in place of Singaurgarh. It was a fort of strategic importance situated on the Satpura hill range.

After the death of Shershah, Sujat Khan captured the Malwa zone and was succeeded by his son Bajbahadur in 1556 A.D. (Bajbahadur is famous in history for his tumultus love affair with Rani Roopmati). After ascending to the throne, he attacked Rani Durgavati but the attack was repulsed with heavy losses to his army. This defeat effectively silenced Bajbahadur and the victory brought name and fame for Rani Durgavati.

In the year 1562 Akbar vanquished the Malwa ruler Baj Bahadur and annexed the Malwa with Mughul dominion. Consequently, the state boundary of Rani touched the Mughal kingdom.

Rani's contemporary Mughul Subedar was Abdul Mazid Khan, an ambitious man who vanquished Ramchandra, the ruler of Rewa. Prosperity of Rani Durgavati's state lured him and he invaded Rani's state after taking permission from Mughul emperor. This plan of Mughul invasion was the result of expansionism and imperialism of Akbar.

IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, the erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). The FPRM admission process comprises three stages. The first stage involves screening of the applications. The second stage consists of a written test. Personal interviews are conducted at the third stage

To be eligible for admission to the Programme an applicant must satisfy one of the following conditions;

1.      PRM from IRMA; or

2.      OYP from IRMA with one year post-diploma work experience; or

3.      Post Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution with 55% marks at PG and 50% marks at graduation (college) level; or

4.      Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience; or

5.      Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least three years work experience.

6.      Applicants having valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.).

The eligibility requirements for candidates from SC/ST/OBC/dap1 would be 5% less than those specified above.

In exceptional cases, a person with a high professional standing and proven competence, not possessing a PG degree but whose experience can measure up to a PG degree might also be considered for admission to the Programme. In these cases, the FPRM Executive Committee would consider the quality of the published and unpublished work and/ or professional contributions of the applicant and establish equivalence to the relevant PG course subjects.

The written test is common for PRM and FPRM applicants. The written test (200 marks), comprises four sections: analytical reasoning (60 marks), quantitative ability (50 marks), English comprehension (50 marks), and issues of social concern (40 marks). The test is conducted at 27 centres across India.

Applicants with PGDRM qualification from IRMA and applicants who have valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.) are exempted from writing the written test and will be directly called for interview. Such applicants are required to attach the self attested photocopy of certificate issued by UGC/CSIR with hard copy of application form.

The decision of the selection committee on admission is final.

B.      Make payment at any branch of IMS Learning Center, after getting IMS receipt apply only through IRMA website by using IMS receipt number.

C.      Take a print out of SBI challan available on IRMA website in the admission link. Make payment at any branch of SBl by using the challan. SBI would then issue a unique ID number. Use this unique ID number and apply online through IRMA website.

D.      Printed application material (prospectus. application forms, etc.) maybe obtained from Admission Office, IRMA, Anand – 388001 on payment of full fees.

E.      Examination form fees will be waived for candidates belonging to "Below Poverty Line (BPL)'' families. Such candidates are required to apply only in hard copy. They need to send a request by post or courier for application form to Admissions Office, IRMA with photocopy of BPL Card or photocopy of Certification from Panchayat or photocopy of Certification from Block Development Officer, duly attested by a gazetted officer. IRMA will send printed materials (prospectus, application form, sample question paper etc.) to such candidates.

Prospectus and sample question papers will be sent to the candidates opting for options a and c after their application is received at IRMA. It is compulsory for all applicants to send a hard copy of application form at Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand – 388 001, Gujarat.
