Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Eligibility:

Candidates applying for admission to the MBA programme must have pursued at least a Bachelor‘s Degree programme after twelve years of formal schooling with at least 50% marks at graduation level (SC/ST: Passing Marks; OBC/PWD/CW:45% as per the University Rules) or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Bachelor‘s Degree may also apply.

Note: Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor‘s Degree are eligible to apply for admission irrespective of their percentage of scores obtained till the time of application, provided that they expect to fulfill the eligibility criteria when their results are declared and which must be submitted to the FMS office at the time of admission to the programme.

Doctoral Programme (Ph.D.)

Eligibility:

To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme, a candidate must have obtained a Master‘s/M.Phil. degree of the University of Delhi, or any other recognized University, or a Post-graduate Degree in an allied subject equivalent thereof securing a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates having a MBA/Master‘s Degree in an allied subject from University of Delhi or equivalent would be required to write the CAT 2018 for admission to the Ph.D. programme. Executive MBA

Eligibility:

Candidates applying for admission to the two-year evening MBA Executive programme must have pursued at least a three-year Bachelor‘s Degree programme after twelve years of formal schooling having secured minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grades in any of the disciplines such as Arts, Commerce, social Sciences, Law, Sciences, Mathematics/ Statistics, Medicine, Engineering or Technology. Additionally, she/ he should have at least five years of experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial/government establishment/registered organization after passing the Bachelor‘s degree examination. Experience shall be determined as on the 1st April of the year of admission. Candidates should be either sponsored or produce a ―No Objection Certificate to pursue the programme from his/her present employer.

Candidates who do not fulfill all the above eligibility conditions and do not submit all the supporting documents before stipulated date may not be called for interview.

Executive MBA in Health Care Administration

Eligibility:

Candidates seeking admission to the two-year evening MBA Executive (Health Care Administration) programme must have a Bachelor Degree having secured minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grade in any discipline such as Medicine (MBBS)/BDS/ BAMS/BUMS/BHMS or Master Degree with 55% marks in Biotechnology/ Genomics/ Genetics/ Nursing/ Bioengineering/ Alternative Systems of Medicine/ Paramedical Discipline/ Pharmacology/ Anthropology/ Zoology or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. The Master / Bachelor‘s degree should be of the University of Delhi or any other recognized University/ deemed University/ Institute. The candidate should have at least five years of experience as an executive or in an administrative position in a public or private or autonomous/ registered Health Care Organization or in Health Sector after acquiring the Bachelor‘s degree. Experience shall be determined as on the 1st April of the year of admission. Candidate should be either sponsored or produce a- No Objection Certificate to pursue the programme from his/her present employer.

National Board of Examinations (NBE): The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on All India Basis and utilizing existing healthcare infrastructure for capacity building. The prime objectives of NBE is to elevate the standards of post graduate medical education in modern medicine and conducting examinations of high standard on an all India basis. NBE provides a common national standard for evaluation of minimum level of attainment of the knowledge and competencies of post graduate and post doctoral training.

NEET-PG 2019:

·         NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses. NEET is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission in medical courses in India.

·         National Board of Examinations has been notified by the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of india to conduct NEET-PG 2019 on an All-India Basis.

·         NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based test (CBT) on 6th January, 2019 in a Single session at all the test centres.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET-PG 2019:

Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st March 2019, may apply for NEET-PG 2019 through online application system at NBE website.

Submission of application form for appearing in the NEET-PG 2019 is to be undertaken online at the website.

·         Online submission of application form for NEET-PG 2019 for admission to MD/MS/ PG Diploma courses for 2019 academic session is available at NEET-PG website www.nbe.edu.in.

·         Application forms CANNOT be submitted offline / printed copy by post.

·         The prescribed exam fee of Rs. 2750/- (for SC/ST/PWD(PH) candidates) and Rs. 3750/- (for General/OBC candidates) should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through Internet banking. ·         The Cutoff Date for completion of internship towards determination of eligibility for appearing in NEET-PG 2019 shall be 31st March 2019.

About College:

IIST is Asia’s first Space Institute and the first in the world to offer the complete range of undergraduate, post graduate, doctoral programmes with specific focus to space science, technology and applications. This unique concept took root in January 2007, when IIST was registered as a Society under the Travancore -Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. IIST received the approval of  the Union Cabinet on 26 April, 2007 and it was formally inaugurated on 14 September 2007 by Dr. G. Madhavan Nair. In a little less than a year of its establishment, IIST received the recognition of UGC as a ‘Deemed to be University’ under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956.The Institute has the unique mandate of encouraging and equipping brilliant youngsters from all parts of the country to take up a career as Scientist/Engineer in the Indian Space Research Organisation. Course Name:

Ph.D. [Streams: Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Chemistry, Earth and Space Sciences, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics]

Eligibility:

1.    Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

2.    Age Limit: Applicant should be below 35 years as on November 14, 2018. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government Rules.

3.    There is no provision for PhD admission in IIST under Self Financing Category.

Minimum Qualifications:

1.    Applicants with Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology as their highest qualifying degree

Applicants with Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology must have secured 65% marks or 7.00 CGPA or equivalent in the Qualifying Master’s degree (60%marks or 6.50 CGPA for OBC, 55%marks or 6.00 CGPA for SC/ST/PD). They must have pursued their Master’s degree on the basis of qualified GATE score. However there is no GATE cut off score for applicants with M.Tech/M.E as the highest qualifying degree, who are applying for Ph.D. in Engineering Discipline. Applicants with Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent from leading foreign Universities with minimum CGPA 9/10 or equivalent can be considered without GATE score.

Selection Procedure: For candidates with M.E/M.Tech as their highest qualifying degree, selection to the PhD programme will be based on a written screening test followed by an interview. However, candidates with a valid fellowship such as CSIR/NET-JRF fellowships and CSIR-NET Lectureship post their ME/M Tech, will be directly called for the interview.

2.    Applicants with Master’s Degree in Science as their highest qualifying degree

Applicants must have Master’s Degree in the relevant area with a minimum of 65% marks or 7.00 CGPA or equivalent in the Qualifying Master’s degree (60%marks or 6.50 CGPA for OBC, 55%marks or 6.00 CGPA for SC/ST/PD). They must have cleared a National level eligibility test, such as a valid UGC-CSIR-NET-JRF/Lectureship/ fellowship or NBHM/JEST/GATE and State Government Science and Technology Scheme, in the relevant disciplines.

Selection Procedure: For candidates applying with their Master’s degree in Sciences as their qualifying degree and having a valid score card/certificate in any of the National level eligibility tests listed above, selection to the programme will be based on an interview to be conducted at IIST.

Applicants applying with their JEST score should have secured a rank within the first 300.

Candidates applying with a valid GATE score in a Science discipline, having a minimum score of 500 for General Category (450 for OBC and 350 for SC/ST/PD categories), are exempted from the Ph.D. written screening test conducted by IIST. Applicants having GATE score in Science disciplines less than indicated cut-off above will not be considered for Ph.D. Admission.

3.    Applicants with Master’s Degree in Humanities/Management/Social Sciences as their highest qualifying degree

Applicants must have Master’s Degree in the relevant area of Humanities/Management / Social Sciences with a minimum of 65% marks or 7.00 CGPA or equivalent in the Qualifying Master’s degree (60%marks or 6.50 CGPA for OBC, 55%marks or 6.00 CGPA for SC/ST/PD). They must have cleared a national level eligibility test, such as a valid UGC-NET-JRF fellowship/ State Government Science and Technology Scheme or similar fellowship schemes of Central/State Governments.

Selection Procedure: For candidates applying with their Master’s degree in Humanities/Management/Social Sciences as their qualifying degree and having a valid score card/certificate in any of the National level eligibility tests listed above, selection to the programme will be based on an interview to be conducted at IIST.

4.    Candidates who have been provided research fellowships by State Government Science and Technology Scheme through competitive written test can also apply. For Candidates having research fellowship by State Government without competitive written test will have to appear for written screening test.

How to Apply:

1)    Applications shall be submitted online at the IIST website. Applications received online only will be considered.

2)    The applicants will not be allowed to make any changes in their registration profile once submitted. Hence utmost care should be taken by the applicants while filling their profile

3)    Application fee is to the extent of Rs. 700/- per Department (for SC/ST/PD and Women applicants - Rs.350/- per Department). If the applicant is eligible and wishes to apply for more than one Research Area in the same Department, he/she need not pay any additional application fee. The application fee is non-refundable. Applicants who wish to apply to multiple departments, will have to pay the appropriate application fee (sum of the application fee for each department).

4)    The application fee shall be paid, once enabled by the system one day after the registration, through “SBI Collect” only.

5)    Applicants who are employed in Government/Semi Government/PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies need to produce a “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” from the current employer at the time of Interview.

6)    SC/ST/OBC/Persons with Disabilities (PD) applicants shall upload the relevant certificate in the website before the prescribed date.

The Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act -1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 and as amended from time to time, NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2019 (NEET (UG) - 2019) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

The NEET (UG) - 2019 will be conducted on Sunday, 5th May, 2019. The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank merit list” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to States/other Counselling Authorities.

Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) – 2019

Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG) is as stipulated in Indian Medical Council Act-1956 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2018.

Eligibility as per related Regulations is as follows:

i.       He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

ii.      The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

The Age criteria for appearing in NEET (UG) - 2019 is as follows:

·         For Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR): born on or between 05.05.1994 and 31.12.2002

·         For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PwD Category: born on or between 05.05.1989 and 31.12.2002

iii.     Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue MBBS/ BDS from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG).

(As per letter No. V.11011/14/2018-MEC/MEP dated 17.10.2018 of MoH&FW

Eligibility for seats under the control of States/Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC and AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU/central pool quota.

i.       Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institutions and the Government of India as the case may be.

ii.      Foreign nationals may confirm their eligibility from the concerned Medical/Dental College/State.

Eligibility for 15% All India Quota seats

a) Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.

b) Candidates from State of J & K

i.       Students from State of J & K are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats as State of J&K has opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically alongwith confirmation page for the record and to present the same during counselling. The Self-Declaration Form is given in information bulletin.

ii.      The online Self Declaration of the candidates will be verified at the time of counselling and if found to be false at any time, the candidature/admission of such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against such candidates.

iii.     Candidates from the State of J & K can appear in NEET (UG) for admission to Private Medical/Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune subject to the fulfilment of eligibility conditions.

Fee Payable by candidates:

·         Unreserved/ Other Backward Classes (OBC): Rs. 1400/-

·         SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Rs. 750/-

Service/Processing charges & GST are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable

How to Apply:

1.      Candidates can apply for NEET (UG) - 2019 only through Online mode.

The Application Form other than online mode will not be accepted, in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.

2.      Submission of Online Application Form may be done by accessing NTA website www.nta.ac.in / www.ntaneet.nic.in only.

3.      Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin and on NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be disqualified.

4.      Candidates must ensure that e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on e-mail address or SMS on given Mobile Number only.

5.      Instructions for filling Online Application Form:

·         Download Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form. Read these carefully to ensure your eligibility.

·         Follow the 4 steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.

Step-2: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Photograph (between 10 kb - 200 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (between 4 kb - 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.

Step-3: Make payment of fee using suitable mode of payment through bank as per details given in information Bulletin (Chapter – 4), (mode of submission of Application Form and payment of fee) and keep proof of fee paid.

Step-4: Print at least four printouts of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee.

·         All the 4 Steps can be done together or at separate times.

Note:

1.    The final submission of Online Application Form will remain incomplete if Step-2 and Step-3 are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.

2.    No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.

3.    The entire application process of NEET (UG), May 2019 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees, and Printing of Confirmation Page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/By Hand.

4.    Option of medium of paper should be exercised while filling the Application Form and the option once exercised by candidates cannot be changed later.

5.    Candidates are advised to visit the NTA website regularly for latest updates.

Important Note:

Candidates are NOT allowed to carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, Watches, microchip or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room. Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/ orange) and transparent water bottle to the Examination Hall. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwich etc.
