About College:

Maharshi Dayanand University, established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976  with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand.  It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983.
The University is located at Rohtak in the state of Haryana - about 75 kms from Delhi on Delhi-Hisar National Highway (NH-10), and is about 240 kms fromChandigarh, the State Capital. It is well connected both by rail as well as road. Rohtak is the education hub of the State with excellent facilities for  education in all fields of knowledge.

About College:

The bill for the establishment of Jawaharlal Nehru University was placed in the Rajya Sabha on September 1, 1965 by the then Education Minister, Mr M.C. Chagla. During the discussion that followed, Hon. M.P. Mr. Bhushan Gupta voiced the opinion that this should not be yet another university. New faculties should be created, including scientific socialism, and one thing that this university should ensure was to keep noble ideas in mind and provide accessibility to students from weaker sections of society. The JNU Bill was passed in Lok Sabha on 16th November 1966 and the JNU Act came into force on 22nd April, 1969.

The University is located, since 1976, on a campus that is spread over approximately 1000 acres of land on the Aravali range in New Delhi, which has now been turned into a green and open area though many academic buildings, hostels, and residences for faculty and staff have come up during the last forty years. Presently the University has over 7300 students, who come from all parts of the country and abroad, and from all sections of society. There are over 500 faculty members in addition to administrative staff who, along with students, live on campus, and they interact and mingle with each other irrespective of social or professional status.
The living ambience and social milieu of the campus is also reflected in an integrated, interdisciplinary approach in teaching and research. There is freedom to define and design course content or start new courses. Research themes evolve with new developments in the area and the interface between different areas of study. Everyone at the university competes with himself/herself to excel in their own field of research. JNU is academically and socially a vibrant place where all have space to express their views.

About College:

The University of Calcutta was established by an Act of the Legislative Council (Act No II of 1857) of the then British India. A supplementary Act empowering the University to confer some additional degrees was passed in 1860. KARNATAKA BIOTECHNOLOGY APTITUDE TEST (KBAT) for admission of students to Biotechnology Finishing Schools (BTFS) for post graduate diploma. The fast growing biotechnology sector in Karnataka has been facing severe shortage of industry-ready graduates and post-graduates for a long time. In an effort to fulfill the needs of the industry, the Karnataka government in association with the Vision Group, ABLE and Industry representatives has developed a mechanism to provide employment opportunities in the sector. In the Millennium Biotech Policy-II, the Government of Karnataka initiated establishment of finishing school program across the state. Twelve BTFS host institutions have been established in Karnataka with appropriate course content and duration to equip graduates and post-graduates with necessary employable skills and to make them industry ready. All 12 BTFS institutions will be commencing their courses from October 2016. Applications are invited from interested students across India for admission into post-graduate diploma in specialized areas of biotechnology for the academic session 2016-17. Admissions will be through an online entrance test followed by an interview. About College:

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Madras, Tamil Nadu, as early as 1868 and it was later relocated at Coimbatore. In 1920 it was affiliated to Madras University. TNAU assumed full responsibilities of Agricultural Education and Research and supported the State Agricultural Department by delivering research products. Till 1946, the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore, was the only Institute for Agricultural Education for the whole of South India. In 1958, it was recognized as a Post-graduate Centre leading to Masters and Doctoral degrees. The Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai was established in 1965. These two colleges formed the nucleus of the Tamil NaduAgricultural University while it was established in 1971. 

In 1972, separate degree programmes of B.Sc. (Horticulture) and B.E.(Agriculture) were started. In 1979, a separate Faculty of Horticulture was established. In 1980, B.Sc.(Home Science) programme was started at Madurai campus. The third Agricultural College was started at Killikulam in 1984 and the fourth at Kumulur (Trichy) in 1989 and later shifted to Navalur Kuttappattu (Trichy) in 1992 which is named as Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute. During 1985, B.Sc.(Forestry) programme was started at Coimbatore. Presently the B.Sc.(Horticulture) degree programme is being offered at Horticultural Collegeand Research Institute, Periyakulam and B.Sc.(Forestry) degree programme at Forest College and Research Institute, Mettupalayam. In line with technological changes the B.E.(Agriculture) hither to offered is offered as B.Tech.(Agricultural Engineering) from the Academic year 2002-2003 at Agricultural EngineeringCollege and Research Institute, Kumulur, Trichy. B.Sc.(Home Science) degree program is being offered at Home Science College and Research Institute, Agricultural College Campus, Madurai. Instructions for Filling the Online Application Form:

Online application Form will be available at URL http://admissions.rgtu.net

Before filling up the online application form, candidates should keep ready the

required bank draft (as per details given under at point 7 below), so that relevant

entries regarding bank draft details, could be entered in the application form.

Candidates are required to fill all the relevant entries in the application form and

submit the same online.

On successful submission of application form, a registration number will be generated, which will appear on the top left corner of the submitted form. This number should be treated as your Identification Number and should be quoted in all future communications.

After successful submission of form, the candidate shall take a printout of the

application form (containing registration number of the candidate). Registration

number appeared at the top left corner of the submitted form will searve as the user

id for further logging to check the status online.

The candidate is required to, paste his recent passport size photograph and affix his

signature at the appropriate location in the printout of the application form.

Candidates are required to send this completely filled application form, along with

the required bank draft of Rs. 750/- which should be drawn in favour of Registrar

RGPV, payable at Bhopal. The candidates belonging to Scheduled Cast (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class excluding creamy layer (OBC), of Madhya Pradesh are not required to submit the bank draft of Rs. 750/-, hence their application should be send without bank draft.

Completely filled application form, along with the required bank draft should be send in a closed envelope to Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Airport Bypass Road, Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal-462036,. "Application for MTech/ME/MPharm (Name of the course)" and registration number should be super scribed, at left top most corner of the envelope. This envelope should reach this office.

Candidates applying for courses of different streams (as specified in Annexure-I) are

required to send separate application forms and bank drafts. However, candidates

applying for various courses of the same stream need not apply separately.

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for MPhill Biotechnology Full Time in KS Rangasamy College of Arts and Science, KSRCAS, Tamil Nadu

Candidates who have qualified for post graduate degree of Periyar University or any other University recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto shall be eligible to register for the Degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in their respective subject and undergo the prescribed course of study in an approved institution or department ofPeriyar University.

Candidates who have qualified their postgraduate degree on or after 1st January 1991 shall be required to have obtained a minimum of 55% of marks in their respective postgraduate degrees to become eligible to register for the Degree of Master of Philosophy and undego the prescribed course of study in an approved institution or department of Periyar University.

In the case of teachers (or) others registering for par-time registration, the minimum percentage of marks for registration is 50%.

Eligibility:

For purposes of admission to the Ph.D programme, a candidate should have obtained a Master’s Degree with not less than a Second Class or an Equivalent grade. In the case of examinations, where classification does not exist, a minimum of 50% marks is a needed in the qualifying examination.

A candidate will be registered as a Full-time, Part-time (internal) or Part-time (external) subject to the provisions of these regulations and subject to the following: “Research fellows / Research assistants / Technical assistants / Project assistants / Training officers in extension departments approved by the University, appointed in the research projects funded by recognized agencies / Government are also eligible to register for the Ph.D programme on a full-time basis in the same department provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria laid in”.

There shall be the following categories of candidates registered for the Ph.D programme:

(a) Full-time scholar

(b) Part-time scholar (Teacher or non-teacher)

Eligible Candidates for Ph.D., Full-time:  The following candidates are eligible to register for the full-time Ph.D., programme:

(a)   A candidate who has qualified for the Master’s degree in the faculty of Commerce of this University or equivalent thereto.

(b)  50% or more marks in the aggregate in the qualifying degree examination.

Eligible Candidates for Ph.D., Part-time:

(a)   A Teacher working in the Department of the University or of an affiliated College of the University, Higher Secondary School or High School or Polytechnic within the territorial jurisdiction of Periyar University and with a qualifying degree

(b)  A candidate employed other than as a teacher in a permanent job, within the territorial jurisdiction of the University with a minimum of four years working experience put in continuously with the qualifying degree and satisfying the rules framed separately by the Syndicate from time to time.

(c)   Research Assistants / Technical Assistants appointed by the University are eligible to register for Ph.D degree on Part-time basis in the same department.
