Forms are available on the university website, which can be submitted along with Online Payment or Demand Draft of Rs. 1100/- by (09th Jan, 2020). # Five percent marks relaxation is given to applicants from SC, ST and PwD categories; i.e., these applicants should have scored at least 50%, 45% and 55% respectively depending on the qualification that the candidate has acquired.

Eligibility:

The candidates for the program must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.

A Master’s degree/PGP from IIMs or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average or

Professional qualifications such as CA/ICWA with degree and CS with B. Com degree along with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average or

4 Year/8 Semester Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch) with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent. or

Five year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline, with at least 60% aggregate marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Those who are appearing for their final year examination in the current academic year may also apply. However, their admission to the programme will be provisional subject to their successful completion of all requirements for obtaining the relevant degree before 30th June 2020.

SELECTION PROCESS

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria as stated above are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Alternatively, those who have qualified GATE, GRE, GMAT or JRF (UGC/CSIR) examinations can also apply in the relevant area of specialization. Scores of any of these examinations including CAT taken during the last two years (two years from the date of the standard test and should be valid on the deadline of submission of the application form, i.e., on or after 1st July, 2018) will be considered valid. Admission to the programme is open to overseas candidates including NRIs and foreign nationals. Candidates who have already have two-year full-time PGP completed in last 10 years from IIMs with minimum grade point equivalent to 6.0 out of 10 point scale or equivalent (with no ‘F’s and not more than two ‘D’s in the first year of PGP) are exempted from the test score, and can apply directly. It is necessary that candidates applying for exemption/Waiver from test must attach copies of both side of the grade sheet to ascertain the equivalence between the grading systems of other IIMs, without which, the application for exemption from test will not be considered. The candidates short-listed on the basis of their academic record and performance in the competitive examinations mentioned above will be called to IIM Raipur for a personal interview for final selection during 8th & 9th April of the year of admission and the successful candidates will receive offers by mid-May of that year. A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Raipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send a commitment fee of Rs. 36,000 (the date of submission will be mentioned in admission offer letter) along with Offer Acceptance Form which will be adjusted against the amount of first installment. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified in the Offer Letter, Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting Rs.1000/- as processing charges. In the event of withdrawal from the Programme after registration, and if seat consequently falling vacant gets filled by another candidate by the last date of admission, IIM Raipur will return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of fee and hostel rent, where applicable.

The PhD application form can be filled online through the link given in IIM Raipur’s website. A candidate is eligible to fill applications to a maximum of two areas. The last date to apply online is February 28, 2020

Relevant Test Scores

Relevant Test Scores include CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/JRF (UGC/CSIR). The test score should be valid on the deadlines of the submission of the application form. Test scores of last two years will only be considered.

Supporting Documents

The supporting documents will consist of:

·         Self-attested copies of mark sheets or transcripts of grades obtained during the course of study for the above degrees. Transcripts in languages other than Hindi and English must be submitted along with certified translations.

·         Self-attested copies of School and University degrees.

·         Percentage conversion certificate from College/University (In case of CGPA/CPA).

·         Two references with their contact details and their respective email IDs from academics who have taught the candidate or with whom the candidate has worked closely on scholarly work. However, the supervisor at work could write a reference, if the candidate has been away from the university for a long period.

·         Self-attested Copies of Work Experience Certificate (if any).

No Objection Certificate

Eligibility:

Admission Procedure

Admission into M.Phil. and Ph.D. programme shall be through an entrance examination (written test) followed by an interview. However, the applicants qualified at the UGC/ JRF/NET/SLET/M.Phil. tests are exempted from appearing for the entrance test provided they register themselves for the admission by paying the requisite fee.

Medium

The medium of instruction and examination for M.Phil. and Ph.D., entrance test, course work and writing dissertation/thesis shall be English only. In case of languages, the medium of instruction and other activities shall be in the language concerned.

How to Apply:

The registration for M.Phil., and Ph.D. entrance examination is through online only. The candidates are advised to visit the Portal of www.braouonline.in. All the particulars of the candidate has to fill in the prescribed application form and pay the requisite fee at any TS/ AP online centres or through and Debit / Credit card on or before 31-12-2019. Upload the relevant certificates as mentioned in the Application Form / Synopsis through online. The registration fee for the above said each examination is Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country. These institutions are being established by an Act of Parliament on the lines of the original All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi which imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches and related fields, along with nursing and paramedical training. to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all branches of health care activity.

Eligibility for Ph. D course– Non Sponsored

A candidate seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of the following qualifications:

1.    Medical qualification: MBBS/BDS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch in the subject concerned or Diplomate of National Board of Examination.

Candidates who have obtained any of these degrees from medical colleges which are not recognized by the Medical Council of India shall not be eligible to apply.

2.    Non-Medical – For nonmedical candidates eligibility shall be Master’s Degree (two years course) awarded by Indian Universities or equivalent in the subject as per requirement of the project. Candidates holding M.Sc. (Other than M.Sc. Nursing) M.Tech. degree & BAMS will be eligible for the Non-Medical Qualification Category

Candidate possessing Masters Degree through distant learning course shall not be eligible

Candidate having eligibility under non-medical category should have at least 55% marks in the last eligibility examination qualified.

·         Candidates who have qualified in above said examinations leading to award of fellowships will be given special weightage in the entrance examination as detailed in method of selection part of guidelines.

·         Candidates working under Central Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous organization should submit their applications through proper channel i.e. employer. They will be required to submit a ‘No Objection Certificate” from their employer before they are allowed to join the Ph.D. Course.

·         The candidates who are likely to complete requisite qualification and degree by 30^th January, 2020 may also apply. However, the candidates who are completing their requisite qualification after 30^th January, 2020 are not eligible to take up this examination.

·         Applicants from AIIMS Faculty/Scientific Staff for Ph. D. registration will be considered as in-service candidates as per guidelines laid down by AIIMS in this regard.

Nidhi Dube from the Indian Institute of Craft and Design wrote to me to introduce Tejas Soni and his experiments with the Dhokra craft. Dhokra is an ancient craft practised by nomadic tribes who have since settled into parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa and parts of southern India. One of the earliest known pieces found was the Bronze dancing girl at Mohenjadaro. The craft is practised by both men and women and the objects are cast in metal using what is known as the lost wax process. Today it features more as a exotic buy rather than a relevant ingredient in our daily lives as it was in the ancient times when religious figures, jewellery, diyas, animal figurines and vessels were essential in many homes.

Filling the Application Form

The application has to be filled up online at: https://www.iicd.ac.in/admission.php.

Application form will be accepted only if all the required fields in the online application form are filled up and the attachments are properly uploaded within acceptable criteria as mentioned below. If the application is properly filled up and payment is properly done, the applicant will receive the confirmation email with payment reference id. If the email is not received the applicant is requested to contact to the admissions@iicd.ac.in with the bank statement / card transaction proof. In case, the uploaded documents are not within acceptable limits, the candidate will receive an email to resend the documents in the acceptable format, after that the application will be processed.

Admission Process Fee

The Admission process fee for Indian Candidates is Rs.1,750/- (Rs. One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty only) and for NRI/ Foreign National Candidates is Rs. 3500/- (Rs. Three Thousand Five hundred only). This fee is non refundable.

Entrance Test Guidelines

The Admission forms that are submitted, in acceptable format, on or before the last date, will be processed for Entrance Test.

The IICD Entrance Test will be conducted at fourteen (14) locations all over India, as mentioned below:
