10+2+3 pattern of study. A First class (minimum of 60% marks in all examinations of the course) in any first degree or Postgraduate degree with 50% marks in General English in the first basic degree. Candidates of Technical Courses like B.E., B.Tech., B.Pharma., B.Sc.(Agri). etc. are exempted from the minimum requirement of 50% marks in General English.

Note: Eligible candidates will be short-listed by the University based on the marks of qualifying examinations. Only such candidates will be called for Admission Test.

In the case of candidates who have not received the marks statements of the final year of the first degree examination, their marks in the previous years/semesters should not be less than 60% in aggregate and 50% in General English. National Institute of Rural Development is an autonomous organisation of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The institute's services are available to different ministries/ departments of the Central and State Governments, banking institutions, public and private sector organisations, civil society organisations and other national and international agencies connected with rural development. Eligibility:

Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1 st January, 2017, may also apply.

SELECTION PROCESS: Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including English Language. Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed candidates.

ENTRANCE TEST: The Entrance Test will be conducted on 06.11.2016 at the following centres: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur,Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvanantapuram. However, the NIRDPR reserves the right to cancel any of the centres or add new centres for any administrative reasons and assign any other centre to the applicants.

PROGRAMME DURATION: (One year) January 2017 – December 2017

COURSE FEE: For Open / OBC Category Rs.1.60 Lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging) For SC/ST/PWD category Rs.1.25 Lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging)

Board and Lodging: The annual board and lodging expenses will be Rs.1,00,000. Accommodation will be given to the students in the NIRDPR Hostel.

Caution Deposit: A refundable Caution Deposit of Rs.10,000 is to be paid along with the First Trimester Fee.

Seat Registration Fee: Upon selection, a non-refundable Seat Registration Fee of Rs. 20,000 should be paid by the Indian students. This amount will be adjusted against the First Trimester Fee.

SCHOLARSHIPS: 1. Ten students will be eligible for NIRDPR’s Scholarship based on their performance. 2. The North Eastern Council, Shillong, will be approached for giving fellowships to economically backward students of North Eastern states.

RESERVATION: Reservations for the students of the SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Persons with Disability (PWD) will be made as per the Government of India norms.

PLACEMENT: NIRDPR will make efforts for placement, but does not guarantee the same.

F       Students who pass with 60% and above marks in 10+2 examinations.

The applicant should fulfill the minimum age requirements as prescribed by the respective board through which the applicant has appeared for the qualifying examination.

If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date, after admission into the program, his/her admission will be cancelled. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility of any applicant shall be final. 

While evaluating applicants for admission into the BBA-LLB (Hons.) Program, due consideration is given to the applicant’s past academic achievements, apart from the marks/CGPA secured, various academic achievements and honors obtained by the applicant.

1.      Payment of Fee: The provisional admission will be deemed to be confirmed for the provisionally admitted candidates fulfilling the required eligibility criteria and on payment of fee of the first semester by July 29, 2016.

2.      Eligibility Criteria: Candidates have to submit their original certificates of qualifying examination (10+2) for verification on August 01, 2016 at Faculty of Law, IFHE, Hyderabad and complete the verification process for the required eligibility criteria.

For final year (10+2) students: Final-year students of (10+2) who have not received the original certificates from the Board by August 01, 2016 will have to submit the same along with a set of photocopies on or before October 01, 2016. Their admissions will be confirmed only on receipt of the original certificates, and will be subject to their obtaining minimum stipulated percentage for admission into the BBALLB (Hons.) Program.

The aggregate percentage of marks secured by the applicant at 10+2 will be determined based on the procedure used by the respective University.

The Osmania University, established in 1918, is the seventh oldest in the country, third oldest in South India and the first to be established in the princely State of Hyderabad.  Though the need for a university for the Hyderabad State was felt, both by the intelligentsia and the people for a long time, the initiative came from a civil servant, Sir Akbar Hydari, who was then the Home Secretary to the State Government.  Sir Akbar, in a Memorandum to the Education Minister in early 1917, emphasized the need to establish a University for Hyderabad with ‘Urdu’ as the medium of instruction “as it is the language of the widest currency in India, official language of the State, and it is a language which is understood by a vast majority of the population of the State.”  He believed that higher education must have its foundations deep in the national consciousness.
