The present University, Raja Mansingh Tomar Music & Arts University, Gwalior is a befitting tribute to a generous and music loving ruler Raja Mansingh Tomar (1486-1518) because the king always promoted the ancient Indian Art and during his period there was tremendous progress in Music and Sculpture. Raja Mansingh Tomar comprehended the importance of Music and Arts and holds the credit for developing the art of dance. He provided patronage to sculpture, art of engraving, drawing and painting and the ancient Indian Culture. The present university symbolizes the great effort of Raja Mansingh Tomar for the learning of art and music in India. The great musicians like Tansen and Baiju Bawra had their music education at sangeet Vidhyapeeth Gwalior opened by Raja Mansingh Tomar. Gwalior Gharana is the oldest of gharanas of music. Jiwaji University Gwalior came into existence on May 23, 1964, through M.P. Govt. Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. Late Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone on 11th December 1964 at a sprawling campus of over 225 acres of land at Naulakha Parade ground. This was a generous contribution of Scindia family, in particular Kailashwasi Maharaja Shrimant Jiwaji Rao Scindia and late Rajmata Shrimati Vijayaraje Scindia. How to Apply:

·         Firstly the student should go through the advertisement published in News papers or University website and decide in which courses/ she / he wants to apply. The students can also visit the website of the university. After deciding, the course/courses in which she / he wish to apply The student may fill up form himself/ herself or the student can go to the kiosks of mp online and ask the kiosk person for submission of admission form of Jiwaji University Gwalior. The kiosk person will help the student in filling the form. The student is required to carry with her / his two passport size recent photographs, and all mark sheets and certificate for getting it scanned and attached to the admission form.

·         The student will have to fill her/ his name, father’s name and occupation mother’s name, date of birth, category to which she/he belongs, nationality, place of birth, address for correspondence, extracurricular activities, status of the student whether she/ he is in service, and all her / his academic details of 10th,12th,graduation. At the end they will have to sign a declaration. At the same time she/he also has to fill the Proctorial Board form. The students also require filling their mobile number to enable them to send SMS.

·         Merit of admission will be prepared on the basis of scanned documents enclosed by candidate in application form. Therefore if candidate does not enclose all required documents or furnish wrong information he/she will be himself/ herself responsible for any consequences.

·         The Candidate has to take the print outs of Admission Form cum Receipt of payment and a Proctorial Board form and required to submit printout of completed application, along with the photocopies of his testimonials viz. photocopies of all mark sheets, caste certificate, certificates related to the participation in NCC, NSS, Sport and Co curricular activities at the time of admission in respective departments. The list of original documents and their self attested photocopies to be brought at the time of reporting to the respective department by the candidate himself/herself personally is given in the end of the rules.

·         Last date for submission of admission form, and other important dates are given in the end of the rules.

·Payment of application fees of Rs. 1000/- (Rs 800/- for SC/ST/OBC) together with Rs. 200/- registration per subject through mp online. For every course, registration fee of Rs. 200/- per course / subject has to be paid along with the application fees Rs. 1000/- at the kiosk centre (For example if a candidate applies for three courses. The Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior was established by the Ministry of Education & Culture, Government of India as Lakshmibai College of Physical Education (LCPE) in August 1957, the centenary year of the War of Independence and located at Gwalior, where Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, a valiant heroine of the war, had laid down her life during the First Freedom Struggle in 1857.

The Institute started as an affiliated college of the Vikram University, Ujjain and then came to the folds of Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 1964. The Institute was given the status of National importance, and hence it was renamed as Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE) in1973. In recognition of its unique status and character and to facilitate its further growth, the college was conferred the status of an ’Autonomous College’ of Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 1982.

In further recognition of the unique educational services rendered by the institute in the field of Physical Education, Sports and Research, the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development conferred the status of a “Deemed to be University” in September 1995 under Section 3 of U.G.C. Act, 1956 vide notification no. F. 9-14/92-U.3 dated 21.09.1995 Hence, Institute was again renamed as Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE). Eligibility:

The equivalence of the foreign degree needs to be certified by the Association of Indian Universities. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be based on the practice followed by the institution/university from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.

The percentage of marks obtained in Class X and Class XII would be the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet of grade sheet, irrespective of whether the Board considers them for calculation of percentage.

Candidates seeking admission to the Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) of IIM Indore should submit their application online between the period Monday, January 01, 2020, to Monday, February 17, 2020, and pay the online non‐refundable/non-transferable application fee of Rs. 3000/- (Rupees Three thousand only) + GST extra.

Selection Process for EFPM 2020

The candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective areas) on the based information provided in the application form. The selection process is as follows:

Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the academic eligibility criteria as mentioned above should submit their application online.

Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying Academic eligibility criteria and acceptable standard test the shortlisting will be done by the respective Areas and candidates will be called for Personal Interview (PI), to be conducted at IIM Indore during March/ April 2020.

Note: Candidates who are applying based on the Research Aptitude Test (RAT) of IIM Indore which will be conducted on Saturday March 14, 2020 will be required to be present in the IIM Indore campus on the test day by 8:30 am, shortlisting of the test will be will be published on the same day i.e. March 14, 2020. Candidates shortlisted after the RAT will be appearing for the Interview either on the same day or on March 15, 2020.

Stage 3: IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process i.e. Stage-4.

Stage 4: Final selection will be based on the requirements of the academic area to which the candidate has applied and an area-wise offer list will be prepared by the Areas only.

Only the candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Academic Area-wise merit list will be generated based on the performance in the Personal Interviews and the provisional admission offers will be made.

A candidate seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of the following qualifications:

1.    Medical qualification: MBBS/BDS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch in the subject concerned or Diplomate of National Board of Examination.

Candidates who have obtained any of these degrees from medical colleges which are not recognized by the Medical Council of India shall not be eligible to apply.
