About College:

The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the country. The college has been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development. Course Name:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Admission 2019

Eligibility:

1) A recognized university degree in any discipline.

2) Candidates should have 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for OC/OBC and 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST candidates in the qualifying degree. For PWD candidates, the eligibility criterion will apply to the category they belong to (OC/OBC/SC/ST).

3) The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be aggregate based on all semesters.

4) In case, result of qualifying degree is awaited, provisional admission is permitted to a student subject to meeting above minimum academic requirements latest by 15th September 2019.

5) If in case the Degree Certificate is not issued by the concerned university at the time of GD/PI process, the applicants can produce the Provisional Certificate/Appearing Certificate.

6) Candidates appearing for their final year degree examination are also eligible to apply for program.

7) Candidates with degrees of five year integrated course are also eligible to apply.

8) Candidates should have appeared for CAT 2018.

1.    You will go to the registration page and Click 'New registration' option to register yourself.

2.    a. You can fill the form with CAT Registration ID as your login ID. Here you have to give the same email that you used for your CAT2018.

b. Give your first name and last name along with the password that you choose.

c. Click SUBMIT and once you are registered you will get an email in your registered mail id asking to remit the application fee through SB Collect.

3. Now you can login ' Exisiting User' using your CAT Registration ID and chosen password. After successful login you will be directed to page where you are asked to upload the screenshot of completed transaction. Then wait for the confirmation mail in your registered mail id. It may take around 3-4 working days.

To complete the application form:

1.    After recieving the confirmation mail,Login through 'Existing User' .

2.    Fill all the required fields in order.

3.    Reservation for SC/ST/PH and OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates is as per the norms of Government of India.

4.    Enter the date, month and year of your birth as per English Calendar and as recorded in your High School Certificate.

5.    Choice of GD/PI centre (Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Tiruchirappalli,Mumbai). Give two choices according to your priority and convenience.

6.    Institute has right to cancel any centre at any time. In the event of any such change, you will be intimated through email.

7.    After filling the form correctly, submit it online. On successful submission of online registration an auto-generated print version of the Registration Form will appear. Before taking the print out, save the print version of application form for future reference.

8.    After taking the print out, send the form along with the CAT Score Card and CGPA/Percentage Certificate copy. You must keep an additional copy of the application form for all future reference.

9.    Short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and interview for final selection.

10.Candidates who apply under OBC (Non creamy Layer) quota will have to submit the non creamy layer certificate at the time of interview.

11.The conversion of CGPA to percentage is not allowed

The erstwhile National Institute of Port Management was set up as an autonomous organization and registered under the Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 1975 for the purpose of imparting training for the port personnel. The Institute has in later years expanded its activities to cover the training needs of merchant navy personnel as well. The National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) was established on July 2, 1999 by merging the Central JALMA Institute for Leprosy (CJIL Field Unit), Avadi with the Institute for Research in Medical Statistics (IRMS), Chennai. Eligibility:

Candidates fulfilling the following criteria are eligible to apply for the course:

·       M.B.B.S. degree recognized by Medical Council of India

·       (a) Working in public health, preferably regularized and permanent employees of State or Central Government Department or Medical institutions; (b) Private (NonGovernment) candidates worked / working in public health

·       Three years experience in public health related activities

Method of selection

A Selection Committee constituted by SCTIMST and NIE will select the candidates based on the following:

Reservation of seats will be as per Government of India norms being followed by SCTIMST. Mere possession of the eligibility criteria will not entail selection for the course. The decision of the Director, SCTIMST, shall be final for selection of the candidates.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to: (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science, in the institutions supported by the MHRD and other Government agencies. Even in some colleges and institutions, which admit students without MHRD scholarship/assistantship, the GATE qualification is mandatory. Further, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is basically an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in

Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. GATE 2019 will be conducted for 24 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed over 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th of February 2019.

Online applications are invited for GATE 2019 examination. Admissions to Postgraduate Programs (Master's and Doctoral) with MHRD and other Government Scholarships/Assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science are open to those who qualify in GATE. The GATE score is also used by some PSUs for their recruitment. GATE 2019 score will be valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of results. Examination for all the papers will be Computer Based Tests.

Eligibility:

The following candidates are eligible to appear in GATE 2019:

·         Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering/Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs.

·         Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture (Five years course) and those who are in the final year of such programs.

·         Bachelor’s degree holders of Four-year program in Science (B.S.) and those who are in the final year of such programs.

·         Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs.

·         Holders of Four-year Integrated Master’s degree (Post B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology and those who are in the second or higher year of such programs.

·         Holders of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree in Engineering/Technology and those who are in the fourth or higher year of such programs.

·         Holders of Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five-year integrated B.Sc./M.Sc. degree and those who are in the final year of such programs.

·         Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE as equivalent to

·         B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A of AMIE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

How to Apply:

Application Fee:

For examination centres in India, the application fee is Rs. 750 for female candidates, Rs.  750 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs. 1500 for all other candidates. Additional fee during extended period is Rs. 500.

For examination centres in Dubai and Singapore, the application fee is US$ 100, for Addis Ababa, Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu, the application fee is US$50. Additional fee during extended period is US$ 20. The application fee has to be paid ONLINE. The application fee once paid shall not be refunded.
