About College:

All the three colleges- DPMC&H, DCAST, DCET and DVCE, which are rapidly developing and progressing byleaps and bounds, are the offshoots of Ch. Charan Singh Memorial Educational Society and Maharani Laxmi Bai Memorial Educational Society which are already providing its expertise for more than 20 years in preparing the students professionally. The trust- Ch. Charan Singh Memorial Educational Society is also running two ITI's i.e., Ch. Charan Singh Memorial ITI, Dehra Dun and Doon Public ITI, Dehradun.

The societies came into existence to guide un-channelized youths to lead them in a right direction towards their future prospects.

These colleges are affiliated with the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna (H.N.B.) Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal (Uttarakhand). It was on 25th December, 2001 that the Hon'ble Shri Ajit Singh ji, the then Unio Minister of Agriculture, inaugurated a new block namely Louis Pasteur in Doon (P.G.) Paramedical College & Hospital and a new building for Doon (P.G.) College of Agriculture Science and Technology in Selakui, Dehra Dun. In December, 2002, a State ofArt Biotechnology Laboratory and a new block “Har Govind Khurana Bio-tech Block” were inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of the H.N.B. Garhwal University.

Original testimonials are to be shown at the time of admission. The reservation of seats are as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court's decision.
The selection of candidates for admission to any course in university seat (50% of the total) and payment seats (35% of the total) is made on the merit list prepared on the basis of the Entrance Test conducted by the college on all 
India basis as per University orders. 15% seats in all the courses are reserved for NRI/Management/Sponsored candidates. There will be no Entrance Test in this category and Direct Admission procedure is followed. Any seat which remains vacant after expiry of stipulated time given to a candidate on waiting list will automatically revert back to the general category.
The final selection is done after conducting the interview/counseling of the candidate by College Admission Committee.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced the exam dates for Joint Entrance Examination (JEHOM-2016), which will be conducted in May 2016. The JEHOM 2016 will be held on Sunday, May 08, 2016. JEHOM is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) program in the state of West Bengal for the session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for JEHOM 2016:

·         The applicant must be a citizen of India.

·         Candidate should have passed, appeared in 10+2 level examination in regular mode from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or from any other equivalent board.

·         Candidate must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B category) at the qualifying examination.

How to Apply:

Application Procedure for JEHOM 2016:

·         Candidates can apply online.

·         The candidate has to take a print out of the e-challan for payment of fees of Rs. 510/- (application fee-Rs. 500/- and bank charges-Rs. 10/-). 

Paper Pattern for JEHOM 2016:

·         The test will be on 50 questions, each carrying 2 marks (full marks 100) to be completed in 1 hour. The paper contains following topics:

·         English Language-30marks–15 questions

·         General Knowledge-30marks–15 questions

·         Logical Reasoning-20marks–10 questions

·         Elementary Mathematics-20 marks–10 questions

·         All questions will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.

·         Each question will have four answer options of which only one is correct. Each correct response will fetch 2 marks, each incorrect response will fetch (-1, 2) mark, whereas no response will fetch zero mark.

·         Multiple responses for any question will fetch (-1, 2) mark.

·         The questions will be in English language only.

SASTRA is located on the Thanjavur-Tiruchirapalli highway at a distance of 17 km from Thanjavur and 40 km from Tiruchirapalli. One of the most picturesque districts in the State, Thanjavur has the reputation of being the ‘Rice Bowl’ of Tamil Nadu. The town owns the pride of being the location of some of the most exquisite manifestations of the Chola architecture.

The Brahadeeshwara temple at Thanjavur - a UNESCO World heritage monument, is an architectural marvel and reflects the artistic skills of the imperial Cholas who ruled peninsular India in the early medieval period. The reputed Saraswathi Mahal Library houses over 30,000 Indian and European manus written on palm leaves & paper and are meticulously preserved for posterity.

Thanjavur is famous for its distinctive art style in painting, which is usually a combination of brazed and painted surfaces. These paintings have the figures and the background richly embellished with gold leaves and gems as ornaments. The town is well known for its historic traditions in art, music, dance and culture and also offers the right blend of modern entertainment. About College:

The Utkal University, established in the year 1943, is the seventeenth oldest University in India. Its present campus at Vani Vihar,BHUBANESWAR is located on a sprawling 399.9 Acre area in the heart of BHUBANESWAR, with the Sainik School to its north, National High way No.5 to its south, Regional Research Laboratory and Institute of Physics to its west and the South Eastern Railway line to its east. The Foundation stone of this Campus was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India on 1st January 1958 and the Campus was inaugurated by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the second President of India on 2nd January 1963. This is a teaching-cum-affiliating University. There are at present twenty-seven Post-Graduate Departments located in the University Campus for Post-Graduate studies and research in various disciplines of Science, Humanities, Business Administration, Social Science, Law and Commerce. The total number of students in the P.G. Department of the campus at Vani Vihar is nearly 3,000. The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) Odisha was formed by Orissa Act 9 of 2009 by converting University College of Engineering (UCE), Burla to a non-affiliating Unitary University and came into force by issue of notification by the Industries Department, Government of Odisha from 1st day of July 2009(Vide memo No.IV/TTI-33/2009-8553 and 8564 dtd.10th June 2009. ·         Candidates with degrees considered equivalent to B.Tech such as those obtained in the examinations conducted by Professional bodies (such as AMIE and AMIM) are also eligible for admission. 1.2 All such candidates seeking admission to any M.Tech programme must have secured 60% (or 6.5 in B.Tech or equivalent examination (Section-B for AMIE).

SELECTION: The following procedures shall be adapted for selection of candidates for admission into M.Tech Programmes in VSSUT, Burla.

·         Candidates with valid GATE score and satisfying requirement as specified in Section 1.1 & 1.2 can be given admission to any M.Tech programme on the basis of their GATE scores directly. This is applicable for both General and SC/ST candidates, SC/ST candidates being considered separately for seats reserved for the purpose.

·         When sufficient number of GATE qualified candidates are not available for admission to any M.Tech Programme, students meeting the rest of the admission criteria can be admitted on the basis of merit as per the guidelines given under item (c). They, however, will not be entitled to get any scholarship from Government sources.

Swami Vivekananda established Ramakrishna Mission as commanded by his Master, Sri Ramakrishna, for the secular and spiritual amelioration of humankind as a whole, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, nationality, gender or religion. The twofold aim of the Ramakrishna Mission is, in Swami Vivekananda's own Sanskrit slogan, atmano mokshartham jagaddhitaya cha ("For one's own spiritual emancipation and for the welfare of the world"). To achieve this aim at both the individual and the collective level, he established the Ramakrishna Mission, by which he "set in motion a machinery which will bring noble ideas to the door of everybody." Swamiji envisioned it as "a lever for the good of humanity…which no power can drive back." Swami Vivekananda made Belur Math the headquarters of the worldwide Ramakrishna Movement, comprising the twin organizations of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. He envisioned that Belur Math would be a centre of great harmony and synthesis, not only of all religious beliefs and traditions, but also of arts and sciences and the various branches of knowledge, both secular and spiritual. In fact, on 2 July 1902, just two days before he passed away, he prophesied, standing at the Belur Math grounds: "The spiritual impact that has come to Belur [Math] will last fifteen hundred years, and it will be a great University. Do not think I imagine it; I see it."
