About College:

Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, a tertiary care referral centre and a jewel in the crown of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati, has established itself as a Medical University of repute with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.  SVIMS hospital has acquired the state-of-art equipment. The sophisticated medical equipment installed in SVIMS will now facilitate diagnosis and treatment of diseases faster and less cumbersome. 

It was established with a view to providing Super Specialty facilities with nominal cost to the poor. Its major objectives include service, training and education in advanced medical sciences and technology. SVIMS has well trained, dedicated faculty to serve the poor and needy patients belonging to not only Andhra Pradesh but also several of the neighbouring states as well. During the last two decades, SVIMS has witnessed a phenomenal   growth in academic, research and health care services.  Particularly heart-warming is the exemplary performance of SVIMS in the implementation of the NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and the Sri Venkateswara Pranadana scheme of the TTD.

SVIMS has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) since 2003 for conducting various DM, MCh, MD courses. Educational Qualifications

The candidates should have passed two years Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained not less than 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Bio-technology

Minimum Age

Should have completed the age of 17 years by 31st December 2016

Candidates possessing qualification of the University/Board or an institution outside the State shall obtain an Eligibility/Equivalence certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to Intermediate qualification (10+2)

(1) NRI Category: Apart from the above, the candidates who are claiming under NRI category shall satisfy the following:

i. Applicant shall be the ward of NRI or NRI citizen by herself

ii. The NRI parent shall be (a) Holding the OCI/PIO/Permanent citizenship status; (b) Employment in abroad; (c) Shall have the annual income sufficient to support the course of study of his/her ward

(2) NRI Sponsored Category: In the event of non-availability of adequate number of eligible NRI candidates, NRI sponsored candidates will be considered subject to fulfillment of the following:

(i) The sponsor shall be blood relation to the applicant i.e. father, mother, brother or their children, sister or their children, maternal uncle or his children, maternal aunt or her children, paternal uncle or his children, paternal aunt or her children, maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, paternal grandfather and paternal grandmother

ii. The sponsor shall furnish the following:

a. NRI status certificate issued by the Indian embassy under seal (or) overseas citizen of India (OCI) (or) PIO status certificate issued by the competent authority

b. Copy of the passport with valid visa

Method of Selection

A separate merit list will be prepared for NRI and NRI sponsored category basing on the rank secured in the NEET-2016 examination conducted by CBSE

The merit list will be displayed in the website on the date specified in the admission calendar

After all the eligible candidates under NRI category gets admitted, the remaining vacancies shall be filled with NRI sponsored category

Fee Details

The tuition fee is US $20,000 per year to be paid for five years through online transfer. The bank transaction charges levied has to be paid extra

The subsequent tuition fee shall be paid in the month of August every year. In addition, the candidate has to pay other fee in Indian rupees at par with resident Indian students

The Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab. On trifurcation of Punjab in November 1966, HaryanaAgricultural University was carved out of PAU by an Act of Parliament in February 1970. Later, in July 1970, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidalya was established.  In 2006 the College of Veterinary Science was upgraded to become Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU) atLudhiana. The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is located in Ludhiana city (Punjab State) in north-west India at a distance of 316 km from New Delhi. It is well connected by road and rail with the national capital. Situated on the Ludhiana - Ferozepur Road, the University covers an area of 1510 acres on its main campus and 4615 acres at the regional research stations. Modeled on the pattern of land grant colleges in U.S.A., the PAU performs the integrated functions of teaching, research and extension in agriculture, agricultural engineering, home science and allied disciplines. Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute was established by Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust in the year 1985 as a private notfor-profit self-financing institution and dedicated to serve the society as a centre of excellence with emphasis on medical education, research and health care. The NATIONAL LAW SCHOOL OF INDIA UNIVERSITY came into existence through a Notification under the NATIONAL LAW SCHOOL OF INDIA UNIVERSITY Act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986). It signified the culmination of efforts by the Judiciary, the Bar Council of India, the Karnataka Bar Council, the Bangalore Universityand the Government of Karnataka to reform legal education and to establish a centre of excellence for legal education and research in India.

Thanks to the generosity of the Government of Karnataka and the Bangalore University, the Law School has a campus of its own, located in Nagarbhavi, about 10 kms from the City railway station and standing over twenty-three acres beside the Institute of Social and Economic Change. About College:

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. Age Limit

Qualifying Examination

No candidate shall be allowed to be admitted to the First Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course until he/she has passed a qualifying examinations as under:

The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 Years of study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English at a level not less than the core course for English prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education;

(Note: Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre-professional training before admission to the Medical Colleges)

The Intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and also English as a compulsory subject.
