St. Joseph’s Institute of Management The JOSEPHITE tradition started in Bangalore with the opening of the St. Joseph's European High School by the Paris Foreign Mission Fathers in 1858. In 1884, St. Joseph's College was established. It has grown steadily and today has more than 8000 students enrolled at the Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer and Management disciplines in its four independent Colleges namely, St. Joseph's College (Arts & Science), St. Joseph's College of Commerce, St. Joseph's Evening College and St. Joseph's College of Business Administration (SJCBA). The Jesuit Fathers, however, came into the picture in 1937 when the Paris Foreign Mission handed over all Joseph's Institutions to them. About College:

The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) was established in 1964 for the study of issues and policies relating to public enterprises (PEs).  Shri.S.S Khera, ICS, the then Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, had conceived the idea of a research institution that would undertake a systematic and sustained study of issues relevant to the formulation of policies towards public enterprises. In the early sixties, when PEs were designed as the principal instrument to serve the social and economic objectives of development, Shri. Khera felt that there was need for an institute which would collect relevant information and documents on PEs, study specific issues and undertake consultancy and training exclusively for PEs. Dr.V.V. Ramanadham, the then Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce, Osmania University, translated Shri Khera’s concept into a reality that is IPE, with the active support and guidance provided by the late Dr. D. S Reddy, then Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University as an autonomous, non-profit society at the initiative of the then Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India, Shri S.S.Khera, ICS, and late Dr.D.S.Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University. The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, recognized the Institute as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in social science research in 1976.  The Institute is partly funded by the ICSSR and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

SNAP 2019 Notification - Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune for admission to various Post Graduate Programs for the academic year 2019-20, conducts Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). The SNAP Test will be on 15th December 2019, from 14:00 Hrs. to 16:00 Hrs. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP is a National-Level Management Entrance Test, conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to its 15 Institutes.

SNAP 2019 Overview:

Candidates aspiring to join MBA / MSc programmes offered by institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) [SIU] have to appear for the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Computer Based Test (CBT) 2019. A candidate needs to register for SNAP Test & also register for the Institutes offering her/his choice of programmes by paying separate registration fees for each programme. If shortlisted, s/he would then need to attend the further admission (GE-PIWAT) process conducted by each of these Institutes individually.

SNAP 2019 Admit Card

·         The Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card. (Admit card will be live on SNAP website from 02^nd December 2019)

·         While all efforts will be made to ensure that the candidate gets a test city as per his/her preferences, however, in some exceptional circumstances, a different test city in nearby area may be allotted

SNAP 2019 Eligibility Criteria

I.        Those who have completed Graduate from any recognized/statutory University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST), Programs, which require specific discipline/ subject specialisation need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute.

II.        A candidate who has completed qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees/ qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any program of SIU.

III.        Evaluation Division of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) issues equivalence certificate for foreign degrees/qualifications.
