Vellore, a district capital in Tamil Nadu, has long been known for its stately fort and temple, renowned hospital and medical college, Parry's factories and the vast government industrial estate in nearby Ranipet. Vellore's history records several dynasties and powers. The Pallavas, Cholas, Pandyas, Hoysalas, Sambhurvarayars, Chalukyas, Vijayanagar, Bijapur Sultans, Mughals, Marathas, French and the British have all ruled the area at one point of time or the other. Graduates in any discipline with 50% minimum marks from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities are eligible. Candidates in their final year of graduation may also apply. Having Work Experience is not a requirement for admission to the program, however candidates with work experience are welcome.

Entrance Test Score Submission

ITM uses standardized management entrance test scores as a part of its overall selection process. Candidates are not selected/disqualified on the basis of their test scores only. The test score is just one part of an overall candidate profile.

Scholarships and Financial Aid:  ITM Business School awards a limited number of scholarships/assistantships for exceptional students who are financially challenged. These range from a tuition fee waiver of 25% to 100%, often in exchange for on-campus employment as research assistants, administrative assistants, event managers etc.

Candidates seeking a Scholarship award must submit their applications. The Admissions Committee awards scholarships at its sole discretion, selecting candidates based on the criteria mentioned below (see Selection Process). Additional weight age is often, but not always given to candidates with 2+ years work experience, previous Masters level education (non-Business), and financial condition of the candidate and his family.

Selection Process:  The Admissions Committee for the PGDM program consists of the Chairman of Admissions, The Chairman of ITM Trust and the individual Directors of each ITM PGDM Campus.

Note: No Capitation or donations are accepted for the PGBM (or any ITM program) under any circumstances. There are no seat quotas for ethnic minorities and no payment category. Selection to the ITM PGDM program is based exclusively on the candidates merit and the discretion of the Admissions Committee.

Selection into the ITM PGDM program at all Campuses is conducted centrally through ITM Navi Mumbai.

Group Discussion/Personal Interview:  Several Group Discussion & Personal Interview sessions will be conducted starting in February 2016. For selected candidates, the intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail.

The selection criteria for calling candidates for Group Discussion & Personal Interviews and final admissions are based on multiple factors as follows:

ü        Past academic performance

ü        Quality & content of the answers in the application form

ü        Work experience, if any, in terms of job content & organization

ü        Group Discussion & Interview performance

ü        Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments

ü        CAT/XAT/GMAT score

Common Admission Test (CAT)

IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing the candidates for two year full time post graduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Reservation

27%, 15%, 7.5% and 3% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the OBC-Non-Creamy, SC, ST, and PD respectively, provided they meet the minimum selection criteria as specified by IIFM.

The National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), has been constituted as a non profit organization with the express objective of engaging in activities for the promotion of education, training, research, professionalism and skill formation at all levels of the construction and other allied industries. IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, the erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). The FPRM admission process comprises three stages. The first stage involves screening of the applications. The second stage consists of a written test. Personal interviews are conducted at the third stage

To be eligible for admission to the Programme an applicant must satisfy one of the following conditions;

1.      PRM from IRMA; or

2.      OYP from IRMA with one year post-diploma work experience; or

3.      Post Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution with 55% marks at PG and 50% marks at graduation (college) level; or

4.      Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience; or

5.      Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least three years work experience.

6.      Applicants having valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.).

The eligibility requirements for candidates from SC/ST/OBC/dap1 would be 5% less than those specified above.

In exceptional cases, a person with a high professional standing and proven competence, not possessing a PG degree but whose experience can measure up to a PG degree might also be considered for admission to the Programme. In these cases, the FPRM Executive Committee would consider the quality of the published and unpublished work and/ or professional contributions of the applicant and establish equivalence to the relevant PG course subjects.

The written test is common for PRM and FPRM applicants. The written test (200 marks), comprises four sections: analytical reasoning (60 marks), quantitative ability (50 marks), English comprehension (50 marks), and issues of social concern (40 marks). The test is conducted at 27 centres across India.

Applicants with PGDRM qualification from IRMA and applicants who have valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.) are exempted from writing the written test and will be directly called for interview. Such applicants are required to attach the self attested photocopy of certificate issued by UGC/CSIR with hard copy of application form.

The decision of the selection committee on admission is final.
