Educational Background

 

A bachelor’s or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education, from a recognized university in India or abroad (recognized by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities).

 

The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification of the candidate must entail a minimum of three years education, post higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent.

 

Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2021. Candidates who are unable to comply with this requirement are liable to be rejected from the program.

 

An applicant may be graduate without any work experience or with relevant work experience from any discipline of education.

Applicant should complete the online application form and submit it along with non-refundable application fee and other required documents.

 

Application processing fees is Rs.2200/- + GST @18% for an applicant desirous of applying to any one of the two-Year Program(s) of IMI New Delhi or IMI New Delhi and IMI Kolkata and/or IMI Bhubaneswar.

 

In addition, if the applicant desires to apply for another program(s) at IMI New Delhi; then candidate is required to pay Rs.500/- per program(s).

 

Application form is available at https://admission.imi.edu and must be submitted online only by midnight of December 07, 2020. Incomplete forms are liable to be rejected summarily.

 

The application processing fee can be paid through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Bank Transfer through the designated payment gateway. No receipts are to be sent to IMI New Delhi Admission Office directly in any case.

 

Selection Process

 

Candidates who apply online for the admission into PGDM and/or PGDM (HRM) and/or PGDM (B&FS) will be shortlisted on the basis of

 

      CAT or GMAT score

 

      Academic Record

 

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process - Individual Assessment Process (Essay Writing and Personal Interview etc.). Individual Assessment Process will be held in February/March 2021 (tentative).

 

Past academic records, performance in the individual assessment process along with other qualitative parameters, like quality of work experience and extra-curricular activities constitute the core components of the selection process.

 

The IMI New Delhi Admissions Committee reserves the right to modify these components while communicating these to the applicants at the Individual Assessment stage. The overall objective will be to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.

 

Applicants should note that mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria may not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IMI New Delhi. Candidates should indicate their first and second preference of interview center in the application form. If a candidate’s preferred center is not allotted, for any reason, the candidate will be informed of the change. Eligibility:

Indian nationals possessing a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by a recognized university are eligible to apply. Students who have appeared / are appearing for Final year/semester examination of their Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible to apply. If selected, their admission will be subject to their producing at least a Provisional marks-sheet/Certificate in original from their college / university latest by 15th December 2020, (extendable in genuine cases after ascertaining the reasons). On completion of the course, the Diploma will be awarded only if the Original Degree Certificate is produced for verification at IIMC’s office.

Date of Birth: General Category candidates should be born on 1.8.1995 or later (maximum 25 years as on 1st August 2020). For SC/ST/Differently abled candidates, the date of birth should be 1.8.1990 or later (maximum 30 years as on 1st August, 2020). For OBC category, date of birth should be 1.8.1992 or later (28 years as on 1st August, 2020).

NRI Quota: Five additional seats are available in each course for NRI / NRI sponsored candidates. The eligibility criteria and age limits for NRI quota candidates are same as above. However, the applicants under NRI / NRI sponsored quota can directly appear for an Online Interview by depositing an entry fee of US $ 50. Fees for NRI quota is as indicated at column 9.1 and the same will have to be paid in one go.

How to apply:

The candidates have to apply online through the website by filling up the online Application Form and by paying the Application Fee through the payment gateway link provided on the site. If a candidate wishes to apply for multiple courses, he/she needs to fill only one Application form, indicating all his/her choices, but making separate payment of Application Fee. However, an applicant can apply for maximum of four courses only (any one of the regional language (Odia or Marathi or Urdu or Malayalam), any one of the language journalism course (Hindi or English), Radio and TV journalism, and Advertising & Public Relation course). AMAR JYOTI CHARITABLE TRUST Amar Jyoti is a voluntary organization rendering rehabilitative services to persons with disabilities through integrated education, medical care, vocational training, child guidance and self-employment since 1981.  It has a branch rendering similar services for the last 25 years in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). With the pioneering concept of integration and inclusion, Amar Jyoti is running a school in Delhi and Gwalior where over 500 and 300 children, respectively, with and without disability are studying together in equal number. 

In addition to OPD patients medical care and rehabilitative services are provided free of cost to all school children, economically weaker sections of the society and members of the Amar Jyoti staff. The institution has organized 5 National Integrated Sports Meet. Amar Jyoti also introduced Abilympics – Olympics of abilities for persons with disabilities in India.  As a nodal agency of National Abilympic, Association of India it co-ordinates the Regional, National and International Abilympics. India hosted the 6th International Abilympics in 2003. Amar Jyoti is running a community based rehabilitation project in 10 urban slums of East Delhi where all necessary services for rehabilitation are provided.

To appear in the Entrance examination for admission to the Master of Physiotherapy, candidates should have fulfilled atleast ONE of the following conditions:

a. Successful completion of an undergraduate physiotherapy degree (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT) from a recognized college/institute/university within India of not less than 4½ years duration (including 6 months of internship) with 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NC/Orthopedically Disabled) in their university exams. Candidates who have completed 3 ½ years course from recognise collage / institute / collage/ or university and an additional bridge course of one (1) year will be considered equivalent to 4 ½ years course.

b. An undergraduate physiotherapy qualification (B.Sc. (PT) / BPT etc.) of 3 ½ years duration from a recognized college/institute/university plus at least ten (10) years of work experience.

c. Registration with Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy is mandatory

Candidates who have applied for registration will have to:

1) Provide a receipt issued by DCPTOT.

2) Provide registration certificate at the time of Counselling.

SC/ST/OBC - NC CANDIDATES:

A Scheduled Caste/Tribe/Other Backward Class - Non creamy layer candidate while applying for admission will be required to submit a certificate that establishes that he/she belongs to that particular category from a competent authority, as listed below along with the application form.

Eligibility:

Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.

Admissions Criteria:

All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). 1. All admissions shall be made on the basis of the merit of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 that was conducted by Indian Institute of Management followed by CMAT 2020 (another National Level Test) on the basis of normalization of their scores.

2. The University will also conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of CET only if the seats are left vacant after finishing CAT2019 followed by CMAT/ 2020 merit list

2. Eligibility Conditions:

i. Eligibility conditions shall be as per Council of Architecture notification(s) applicable at the time of admissions. Candidates may see the web site of the Council, http://www.coa.gov.in/

ii. All candidates possessing any of the above qualifications must also have passed the National Aptitude Test of Architecture (NATA) – 2020 conducted by Council of Architecture.

Admission Criteria:

1.    Admissions will be made on the basis of NATA Score and the percentage of Aggregate* marks, i.e., (percentage will be calculated considering best five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English among all paper offered to the studen) obtained in the qualifying examination, i.e. senior secondary level or equivalent. No candidate shall be admitted unless she/he has passed 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate or passed 10+3 diploma examination with mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

2.    Merit list shall be prepared based on:

a. Architectural Aptitude (NATA score): 50%

b. Qualifying Examination (i.e., 10+2 OR 10+3 years diploma recognized by the Central / State Government: 50%

3.    Appearing in NATA Examination conducted by Council of Architecture

a. All candidates are advised to take NATA Examination of the Council of Architecture at their initiative. If a candidate has not qualified in the NATA – 2020 test, then the candidate shall not be considered for admission.

b. All candidates are required to keep three copies of the NATA score as one copy shall be required to be submitted at the time of document verification to the University, one copy shall be required to be submitted to the institution where admitted and one copy as a record copy by the candidate.

4.    In the inter-se-merit of candidates securing equal ranks, following criteria will be adopted to determine the merit:

i. The Candidate getting higher score in NATA;

ii. In case of candidates securing equal scores in NATA, then the candidate getting higher marks in Mathematics of the qualifying examination;

iii. In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate getting higher marks in qualifying examination;

iv. In case of tie in (i), (ii) and (iii) above, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.

5.    Applicants should retain a printout of the CET application form as proof of identity of the candidate at the time of counselling for admission.

6.    All candidates are further advised to check the basic eligibility for NATA 2020 on the official website of the Council of Architecture (http://www.coa.gov.in).

The candidates are advised to retain a copy of their NATA score / Result card for future reference.

Jamia Hamdard (JH) was declared as a deemed-to-be University by the Govt. of India in 1989 on the recommendation of University Grants Commission (UGC) under the UGC Act 1956 in recognition of the services provided by erstwhile educational institutes established by the Hamdard National Foundation (HNF). These institutes, built over a period of time, included the Hamdard College of Pharmacy, Hamdard Tibbi College, Rufaida College of Nursing, the Institute of History of Medicine & Medical Research, and Indian Institute of Islamic Studies.

How to Apply:

General Information and Admission Guidelines

Following admission guidelines shall be adhered to while considering the candidates for admission in various programs of study at Jamia Hamdard for the academic session 2020-21

      Admission to all Under Graduate programs offered by Jamia Hamdard will be made through merit in NEET (UG)/JEE (Main-Paper-I) 2020/ CLAT-2020, wherever applicable, from amongst the applicants who have applied for admission in Jamia Hamdard. In case of other programs, Jamia Hamdard may select the candidates for admission on the basis of marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination or Interview or Entrance Test or any other mode as approved by the competent authority.

      Jamia Hamdard reserves the right to consider applications from Non-NEET (UG)/ Non-JEE / NonCLAT qualified candidates in case of non availability of suitable rank holders in a particular discipline subject to approval of the Competent Authority.

      Applications for all programs offered by Jamia Hamdard shall be accepted online through Online Admission Portal 2020. Jamia Hamdard reserves the right to accept applications for some or all programs of study offline, if required, subject to approval of the Competent Authority.

      Admission to MBBS/MD/MS programs of HIMSR shall be governed by the MCI Guidelines, which can be accessed on the MCI website.

      For programs of study governed by various councils, regulatory bodies, admissions will be carried out as per their respective guidelines.

      In the best interest of Jamia Hamdard, the Competent Authority of Jamia Hamdard, is authorized to take appropriate decision regarding admissions.

Important information and instructions

1.    Applicants are advised to read carefully the contents of this Information Bulletin & Prospectus and familiarize themselves with the relevant rules governing the Admission / Entrance Test / GD / Interview /Counselling of Jamia Hamdard. They should also check all the eligibility criteria for a particular program of study.

2.    Jamia Hamdard will not be responsible, if a candidate is denied admission for not fulfilling the eligibility criteria even if she/he has cleared all requisite eligibility conditions such as the Entrance Test / GD / Interview / Merit of qualifying examination and has been issued offer letter for admission to a particular Program of study.

3.    Bachelor’s degree signifies that the degree has been obtained under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 system of education or equivalent. Application Form of candidate whose qualifying examination is not recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities) or by Jamia Hamdard shall not be considered for admission.

4.    All admissions shall be provisional. If any omission / error in the processing / verification of certificates / documents of a candidate or not fulfilling eligibility criteria etc. is detected at the time of admissions or thereafter, the University shall have the right to cancel such admission at any time.

5.    Display of name of short-listed candidates on the University website / notice board and appearing in Entrance Test / GD / Interview/ Counselling, issuance of the Admit Card / Interview letter do not confer any right to a candidate to claim admission if he / she does not fulfill all the eligibility conditions prescribed by Jamia Hamdard.

6.    The Jamia Hamdard takes no responsibility for any delay or failure in e-mail transmission through website of Admit Card / Interview Letter / Intimation Letter etc. or any other communication related to admission as per regulations. Candidates are encouraged to frequently visit the Jamia Hamdard website (www.jamiahamdard.edu) for information or to contact the authorized persons as shown in the Contact Details of Online Admission Portal 2020 at www.jamiahamdard.edu.

7.    The Jamia Hamdard shall have the right to change / cancel the schedule of Entrance Test / Interview / GD/ Counselling and the display of list of selected candidates at any stage.

8.    The Candidates who are not able to download their Admit Card (for entrance test only) must contact for the admit card from the Admission Section of Jamia Hamdard at least 2 days before the date of Entrance Test.

9.    Any amendments, made in Admission Rules or in the eligibility criteria from time to time, shall be applicable to applicants seeking admission in the Jamia Hamdard.

10.If it is discovered at any stage that a candidate has made a false representation or used fraudulent means for admission or that she/he does not fulfill the eligibility requirements, she/he will not be allowed to complete admission formalities and a FIR against the candidate may be lodged. If admission has been granted to such candidate, the same shall be liable to be cancelled at any stage.
