Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is one of the premier institutes in the country offering education, training, research and consultancy in sustainable management of tourism, travel and other allied sectors. The stakeholders’ realization that the country is in need of such professionals who can provide an excellent standard of products and services, resulted in the creation of IITTM in 1983 at New Delhi. Eligibility:

1) Candidates seeking admission in BBA (TT) programme shall be required to possess 10+2 examinations in any subject from a recognized University / Board with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST). Candidates appearing in final year examination of 10+ 2 are also eligible to apply, subject to they must submit their result of graduation with the requisite percentage of marks by October 31, 2018, failing which their admission will be cancelled and course fee deposited in the institute, will also be forfeited. (In this regards, the student must submit an affidavit on nonjudicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- ).

2) Appear in written test “IGNTU IITTM Admission Test (IIAT)” to be conducted by IGNTU & IITTM. Admission Test will be held on June 9, 2019 (Sunday) (tentative) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at IITTM centres (i.e. Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Noida & Nellore) and the other centers shortlisted, which will be notified later. The candidate has to write their answers on OMR Sheet. It will be an objective type test with four options of nearest answers carrying 100 questions / 100 marks [General Awareness (50 Marks), Verbal ability (25 Marks) and Quantitative ability (25 marks)]. One mark for each right answer and no negative marking for wrong answer.

3) Group Discussion And Personal Interview:

NITIE Alumni Association (NAA) has been functioning to maintain the alumni relations of NITIE amongst the past students. Maintaining a strong alumni relations program is essential to the growth and development of our institute. With this motive in mind, the Executive Committee of the NAA has approved a proposal to create a Corpus Fund from the Alumni of NITIE. The donations will be accepted for both specific projects and general purposes. General contributions will be credited to the corpus fund. The management of the fund will be looked after by a committee chaired by the director and comprising of two senior faculty members and two representatives of Alumni.

To ensure that the alumni of NITIE continues to be closely knit, NAA organizes Regional Alumni Meets every year to facilitate better interaction amongst the alumni and to strengthen their links with the institution. Last year we had the Chennai alumni meet at the picturesque Buena Vista beach resort at Neelangarai beach. Despite a heavy downpour, games like beach football and Housie were played followed by an elaborate two hour lunch.

INDIAN STUDENTS

For all the above Programmes, applicant should have valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score as on June 15, 2019 with 60% aggregate* (marks relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PwD (Physically Disabled) candidates) at graduation in Engineering/Technology. For PGDIE, applicant with any branch in Engineering/ Technology can apply. For PGDMM candidates with following engineering disciplines can apply – mechanical, production, automobile, chemical, textile, electrical, electronics and other relevant branches such as industrial engineering, instrumentation and industrial electronics. Students appearing for final year exams in 2019 will be permitted to submit their result by September 30, 2019. Their admission will stand cancelled in case they fail to meet the qualifying requirements. As per Govt. of India rules, reservation of seats exists for SC/ST/OBC-NC (NonCreamy) and PwD candidates. SC/ST candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India vide letters No.11016/19/2005-SCD-1 dated 21.06.2007 and No.19012/36/-5-Education dated 27.06.2007 subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of terms and conditions mentioned therein.

Sponsored Seats: Few seats in PGDIE, PGDMM and PGDPM are available for Sponsored Candidates. Sponsored Candidates must be from reputed Industrial Organizations/Academic Institutions. The Candidates must have aggregate* 60% marks at graduation in Engineering /Technology with two years of full time work experience as on last date of submission of application as prescribed in the advertisement. GATE score is not required for sponsored candidates. However, they are required to attend a written test and PI to be conducted at the institute. Sponsored candidates should also fill-in the Sponsorship Form available on the NITIE website. No teaching assistantship is available for Sponsored candidates.

* For calculating the aggregate, all semesters’ Marks/SGPA/Percentage is averaged

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

15% of the approved intake (in supernumerary quota) will be reserved for international students in the above PG programmes offered by NITIE. Entry level qualification shall be at par with that of Indian students as specified above and candidate should have a valid GRE score. Foreign candidate should have a valid TOEFL/ IELTS score also. TOEFL/ IELTS score more than two years old will not be considered**. All international candidates will have to submit a SOP (Statement of purpose) and two LORs (Letters of recommendations).

**All the International candidates are required to have a minimum of 18 (eighteen) months of stay at the overseas countries as on the last date of submission of application as prescribed in the advertisement.

ADMISSION PROCESS

About College:

Towards meeting the growing demand of manpower in the field of technology, the then Delhi Administration, with the approval of Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, established a new Engineering College by the name of Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT) in July, 1983. In the year 1983, the Institute started with the academic program at UG level in the area of Electronics & Communication Engineering with an intake of 45 Students under the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. New programs in the areas of Computer Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, and Manufacturing Processes & Automation Engineering were added subsequently. Administrative autonomy was granted to the institute in 1986. The Institute was registered as a Society in the name of “Delhi Institute of Technology” (DIT) on 12th June 1987 under the Societies Registration Act No. XXI of 1860 (Registration No. S-17742 of 1987). The Institute initiated Ph.D. programs in 1989 and also formulated a number of PG programs, four of which were approved by the AICTE in the year 1994. The Institute has been and is affiliated to University of Delhi for all its UG, PG and Ph.D. programs.

From 1983 till 1998, the Institute was operating from its old campus at the old I.G. Block, Kashmere Gate, Delhi - 110006. The Institute was formally inaugurated in its own new campus in Dwarka, New Delhi, 23rd January, 1997 by Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee , the former Prime Minister of India. The Institute was renamed as "Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology" (NSIT) in the year 1997 vide Gazette notification No. D.L. - 33002/97 dated 20.02.1997.

PhD [Disciplines: ECE/ICE/Mechanical/COE/IT/BT/Physics/Chemistry/Maths/English and Management]

Eligibility:

An applicant possessing a Master Degree in Engineering/Technology/Sciences/ Management/Humanities/Social Sciences in the respective discipline or equivalent with a minimum 60% of marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and Bachelor’s Degree with a 60% of marks or equivalent CGPA shall be eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D. programme of the University. However, the candidates applying for Teaching-cum-Research Fellowship (TRF) shall be required to have a Master Degree in the respective discipline with 70% marks or equivalent CGPA and Bachelor’s Degree with a 60% of marks or equivalent CGPA. In case, the equivalence between the percentage of marks and CGPA is not defined by the University from where the candidate has obtained the qualifying degree, then the UGC/AICTE equivalence criteria shall be applicable. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under Society Registration Act 1860 for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions. The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards. Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the IITs.

ABOUT JEE (Main)–2019:

The JEE (Main)-2019 will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session.

The students will have following benefits of the new pattern: 

·         This will give one more opportunity to the student to improve their scores in examination if they fail to give their best in first attempt without wasting their whole academic year. 

·         In first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and to know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the second time. 

·         This will reduce chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year.

·         If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control, then he/she won‟t have to wait for one full year. 

·         The student‟s best of the two NTA scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.

The first attempt of JEE (Main) – 2019 will be held in January, 2019 whereas the second attempt will be held in April, 2019. The test will be held on different shifts/dates in both the attempts. The NTA will release the application form of JEE (Main)-2019 for the first attempt in September, 2018 and for the second attempt in February, 2019.

The result of the first attempt of JEE (Main)-2019 will be declared by 31st January, 2019 and for the second attempt by 30th April, 2019.

Mode of Examination:

JEE (Main)-2019 will be conducted in the following mode:

(a)   Paper-1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.

(b)   Paper-2 (B. Arch/ B.Planning): Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in “Pen & Paper Based”(offline) mode to be attempted on drawing sheet.

Type of Examination:

JEE (Main)–2019 shall have two papers, Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) and Paper-2 (B. Arch. /B.Planning). Candidates may take Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.), or Paper-2 (B. Arch. /B.Planning), or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to Subject combinations for each paper, type of questions in each paper and mode of examination is given in the table below:

Eligibility for appearing in JEE (Main) – 2019:

Age Limit:

For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed XII examination in 2017, 2018 or appearing in 2019 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination – 2019. The candidates should satisfy themselves about the eligibility of age limit requirements of the Institutes in which he/she is desirous of taking admission.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE):

Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2017 or 2018; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in both January, 2019 and April, 2019 JEE(Main)-2019 Examination.

Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2016 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2020 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)–2019.

Number of subjects in the Qualifying Examination (QE):

Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main)-2019. The candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to write JEE (Main)- 2019 and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main)-2019 by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared.

Examination Fees:

The fee (in Indian Rupees) for JEE(Main) 2019 is as follows:

The fee may be submitted through SBI MOPS (Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card/e-Challan).

How to apply:

·         Candidates have to apply for JEE (Main) January, 2019 “Online” ONLY. The Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted, in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

·         Submission of Online Application Form may be done by accessing NTA website only.

·         Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin available on NTA‟s website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

·         Please ensure your eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced) and participating State Institutions (as applicable).

·         The National Testing Agency (NTA) is only an examination conducting body. After declaration of result, the data is handed over to CENTRALISED SEAT ALLOCATION BOARD (CSAB)/JoSAA or the concerned State government/institute for Seat Allocation Process and admission procedure. The NTA does not collect the information regarding total number of seats available in the institutions and reservation criteria followed by the institutions.

·         Candidate must ensure that e-mail address and Mobile No. provided in the Online Application Form are his/her own as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA throughe-mail one-mail address or SMS on given Mobile No. only. The candidates are advised to retain the same mobile number and e-mail-id in usewhich they have furnished in the application form because the important information may be given to the candidates through SMS or e-mail. Candidate himself/herself shall be held responsible for non-receipt of latest information/ communication due to wrong e-mail address and Mobile No. provided in the Online Application Form.

·         The candidates should select four cities of examination as per their choice of Paper-1 or Paper-2 or both Paper-1 & Paper-2 of JEE (Main) – 2019.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

·         Read the “Instructions and Procedure for Online Application Form of JEE (Main) 2019”.

·         Download Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form. Read these carefully to ensure your eligibility and acquaint with the requirements for submission of Online Application Form. 

·         Follow following 4 (Four) Steps to Apply Online:

Step-1: Fill in the online Application Form and Note down the system generated Application Number.

Step-2: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Photograph (between 10 kb–100 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (between 4kb – 30 kb) in JPG/JPEG format.

Step-3: Make payment of fee using SBI_MOPS and keep proof of fee paid.

Step-4: Print at least four printout of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee.

·         All the 4 Steps can be done together and separately also.

Note:

1.      The final submission of online Application form will remain incomplete if Step 2 and Step – 3 are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.

2.      No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained

3.      The entire application process of JEE (Main) January 2019 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation page to NTA through Post/Fax/ By Hand.

4.      Candidates are advised to keep visiting the NTA‟s website regularly for latest updates and to check their e-mails.

5.      The NTA can make use of the data generated for the purpose of research and analysis.

The fee may be paid either by credit/debit card/ Net Banking or e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form using on-line payment gateway facility in State Bank of India. Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected. Application fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances. No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.

·         Applying Online and Submission of Application:

The online submission of particulars, uploading of scanned photograph and signatures may be made at JEE (Main) website. The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Confirmation Page with Application No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation Page and keep it for reference. The Confirmation Page is not required to be sent to NTA.The application fee payment can be madeby credit/debit card/Net Banking/echallan using SBI-MOPS facility of State Bank of India.

·         Instructions for Applying Online:

Before filling up the application form the candidate should have a scanned image of his/her recent photograph and signature in running hand. These scanned images are to be uploaded during the submission of application form. The photograph should be coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) with name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph printed on it as shown below. It should be without cap orgoggles. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable. Candidates with unclear photograph are liable to be rejected. Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of entrance examination, Seat Allocation Process and Admission.

Application Format:

Note: The name of the candidate and his/her parents name in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. No prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Col etc should be used.

Choice of Medium of Question Papers:

The medium of Question Paper shall be in English, Hindi and Gujarati. The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
