Eligibility:

Eligibility:

Intake & Specialization: Two Year Four Semester Full Time Program in self-financing mode (intake of 30) with managerial and technical analytical specialization. Each student must bring their own laptops.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduate degree in B. Com/B.com (CA)/ BBA/ BCA/ B.Sc. (Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science) / B.E./B.Tech and Master Degree in the mentioned subjects with 50% marks are eligible to apply. For reservation candidates belonging to SC/ST, 5% relaxation is applicable.

Application Process

The  process of submission of Application Form has to be completed via online mode only. Candidates are required to upload the CAT Score card, Photo and Signature while filling the online application form in the prescribed format, size and dimension. Details of which is available on the website.

Step to Apply online

Step 1: As a first step, Candidates will have to first fill the Application Form available online on the official website.

Step 2: Enter the asked personal details, communication details, academic qualification

details.

Step 3: After entering all the asked details, candidates will be required to upload the scanned images of CAT Score card, photograph and signature. Candidates must note they should be uploaded keeping up with the prescribed format.

Step 4: The next step will be to pay the Application Fee using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking.

Payment of Fees

·         All the students shall pay all the fees to the University at the time of admission. For the subsequent semesters, the fees should be paid within ten days from the beginning of each semester.

·         Examinations fees shall be payable on or before the last date prescribed in this regard. If the above dates fall on Saturdays or Sundays or any other holidays, the last date for payment of the above fees will be the preceding working day.

·         The facility of online payment will be available shortly. If a student does not pay the fee on time, late payment fine, shall be levied as follows at the time of payment:

·         Rs.5.00/- rupees per day for the first 10 days

·         Rs. 10.00/-  rupees per day thereafter upto the last day of the month in which the fees is due.

·         A student whose name has been struck off from the rolls of the University, under the above clause, may be readmitted on the recommendation of the Dean/ HOD/ Coordinator of the Dept./Centres concerned and on payment of arrears of fees in full and other dues, together with a re-admission fee of Rs.1000/- plus University Development Fund of Rs.500/-.

·         If, after having paid the fees, a candidate desires to discontinue he/ she shall be refunded all fees after deducting Rs.1000/- provided he/she discontinues.

About College:

The University of Calcutta was established by an Act of the Legislative Council (Act No II of 1857) of the then British India. A supplementary Act empowering the University to confer some additional degrees was passed in 1860. About College:

Until 1936, when Odisha was made into a separate province, all its colleges were under the jurisdiction of either Patna University or Andhra University. Subsequently, the government of Odisha, headed by Shri Biswanath Dash, the then Prime Minister; appointed a committee on 2nd March 1938 with Pandit Nilakantha Das as its Chairman to examine the possibility of establishing a separate university in Odisha. Then, during the premiership of Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati, who played a pioneering role in the establishment of the University, the recommendations of this committee were made available. Pandit Godavarish Mishra, the then Minister of Education, introduced the Utkal University Bill, which was passed by the Odisha Legislative Assembly on 30th June 1943. On receiving the Governor's assent on 2nd August 1943, the Utkal University Act, 1943 came into force, clearing the way for the foundation of Utkal University on 27th November 1943. The University started functioning from this date in room no. 15 of Ravenshaw College, Cuttack.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under Society Registration Act 1860 for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions. The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards. Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the IITs.

ABOUT JEE (Main)–2020:

The JEE (Main)-2020 will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session. The students will have following benefits of the new pattern: 

·         This will give one more opportunity to the student to improve their scores in examination if they fail to give their best in first attempt without wasting their whole academic year. 

·         In first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and to know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the second time. 

·         This will reduce chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year.

·         If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control, then he/she won‟t have to wait for one full year. 

·         The student‟s best of the two NTA scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.

Mode of Examination:

JEE (Main)-2020 will be conducted in the following mode:

Choice of Medium of Question Papers

·         The medium of Question Paper shall be in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

·         The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.

·         Please note that for correctness of the questions in all the question papers, the English version will be taken as final.

The candidates who have passed class 12th / equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) examination – 2020. The candidates should also satisfy themselves about their fulfilling the age limit requirements of the Institutes in which they are desirous of taking admission. The candidates must note that the IITs have an age limit / restriction, which will be published in JEE (Advanced)-2020 Information Brochure.

List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)

i.              The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central/ State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.

ii.             Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

iii.            Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy

iv.           Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

v.            Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

vi.           Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.

vii.          A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 year duration

viii.         General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

ix.           High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination

Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2018 or 2019; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in January JEE(Main)-2020 Examination.

Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2017 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2021 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)–2020.

Candidates must note that the IITs permit only two attempts for the JEE (Advanced), i.e. a candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2019 or 2020, subject to the condition of not having been admitted at an IIT on earlier occasion. Details may be obtained from the Information Brochure of the JEE(Advanced)2020.

Instructions for Filling Online Application Form

Candidates have to apply for January JEE (Main)- 2020 “Online” ONLY by accessing the websites. www.nta.ac.in, www.nta.nic.in and www.jeemain.nta.nic.in The Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted, in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

It is suggested that you have the following ready before starting the filling of the online application form:

      A computer with good Internet connectivity

      All your qualification details

      Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb)

      Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)

      A valid e-mail Id as all communication will be made on this e-mail Id

      A valid mobile number as all information via SMS will be sent to this number A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account or UPI or PAYTM Service.

      A printer connected to your system to print confirmation page

      Download information Bulletin. Read it carefully to ensure your eligibility and acquaint with the requirements for submission of Online Application Form.

      No correction can be made at a later stage after submission of an application. No change will be accepted through Post/Fax/ email / By Hand etc.

Follow following 4 (Four) Steps to Apply Online for the candidates who are appearing for January JEE(Main) –2020 Examination:

Step-1: Register for Online Application Form and note down system generated Application Number. The candidate should supply all the details while filling the Online Application Form and is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the personal details, Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future correspondence. This application number will also be used to fill the application form of April, 2020, if the candidates wish to apply for the same. For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.

Step-2: Complete the Application Form Candidate can login with the system generated Application Number and created Password for completing the Application Form.

Step-3: Upload Scanned Images of Candidate’s Photograph and Candidate’s Signature.

(a) The recent photograph should be coloured or black/white (but clear contrast).

(b) Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format.

(c) Size of scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.

(d) Size of scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.

Note: Upload the correct Photograph and Signature as the facility for correction in images will not be given.

Step-4: Payment by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI/PAYTM: The candidate has to select Debit card/Credit card/Net banking/UPI/PAYTM option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of fee. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled and the candidates have to approach the concerned bank for refund of amount. However the candidate has to make another payment/transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.

THESE STEPS CAN BE DONE TOGETHER AND SEPARATELY ALSO.

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment at NTA websites www.jeemain.nta.nic.in www.nta.nic.in and if the status is ‘OK’ the candidate will be able to take the printout of Confirmation Page. In case, the fee payment status is not ‘OK’ the candidates are advised as following:-

      If the fee is paid through credit/debit card/Netbanking/UPI /PAYTM and status is not OK, it means the transaction is cancelled and the amount will, automatically, be refunded to concerned credit/debit card/Net Banking/UPI/PAYTM Account within 15 days. Therefore, such candidates have to pay the fee once again and ensure the fee status OK.
