About College:

Adesh University, Bathinda, the flagship academic and research endeavor of Adesh Foundation, a pioneer in health care, medical and technical education came into existence in the State of Punjab in July 2012 by Act no. 6 of 2012 of Government of Punjab, notified under Punjab Government Gazette (Extraordinary) dated July 10, 2012 under Punjab Private Universities policy 2010. The parent body, the Adesh Foundation was established in 1995 vide Registration No. 618 of 1995-1996 (Registered under Societies' Registration Act XXI, 1860) in Sri Muktsar Sahib, an underdeveloped area of Southern Punjab, with aim and objectives of serving humanity in the sphere of health care as well as medical, paramedical and technical education.
Adesh Foundation started its journey in the field of professional education and health care with the establishment of Adesh Institute of Engineering and Technology, Faridkot in the year 1996, to deliver various undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes in the field of technical education. The Foundation established its second degree level institution in the sacred memory of martyrs of Sri Muktsar Sahib under the name Bhai Maha Singh College of Engineering, Muktsar in the year 2002.
The foundation established a Medical College at Bathinda under the name and style as Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda. This premier medical institution of Northern India with an annual intake capacity of 150 students in MBBS course is duly recognized by Medical council of India/Govt of India. The foundation further established College of Nursing, AIMSR, Bathinda and College ofPhysiotherapy, AIMSR, Bathinda in the year 2005. College of Pharmacy, AIMSR, Bathinda was established in the year 2006, while Adesh Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, Bathinda was established in the year 2007 to impart training in the field of Pharmacy. All these colleges are recognized/approved by respective regulatory councils / authorities. Adesh Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Bathinda was established in year 2008 to impart training in dental sciences, with the annual intake of 100 seats in BDS. Full – Time Ph.D. Candidates

All eligible candidates who are admitted to the Ph.D. program as per eligibility criteria mentioned above and pursue full-time research for Ph.D. in this university will fall in this category. A person working in Adesh University in a project sponsored by the UGC/CSIR/ICSSR/ICAR/MOEF/DST/DBT/ICMR and other funding agencies with a duration of not less than two years shall also be eligible to register for Ph.D. under this category, provided his/her Principal Investigator offers his/her consent and the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria mentioned above

Part-Time Teacher Candidates (Internal & External)

(i) Part-Time Internal Teacher Candidates:

The eligible candidates are those working as temporary or regular faculty members in various Departments/Colleges of this University

(ii) Part-Time External Teacher Candidates:

The eligible candidates are those who are working as teachers in any educational/research Institution other than Adesh University. Such candidates will have to provide the details of the research facilities as required for pursuing the program at their parent institution and have these accredited by the concerned authorities of Adesh University or alternatively will have to carry out research work at the facilities of Adesh University

Such candidates shall provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer for pursuing Ph.D. program at Adesh University. They will also be required to provide the detail of a Co-Supervisor from their parent institution to supervise the research work. The person to be eligible to be Co Supervisor should be a Professor with minimum five research publications or a Ph.D. degree holder having two publications in indexed journals

Part–Time Non-Teacher Candidates (Internal & External)

(i) Part-Time Internal Non-Teacher Candidates:

The eligible candidates are the permanent non-teaching staff of Adesh University with three years of service at the time of applying for the Ph.D. program

(ii) Part-Time External Non-Teaching Candidates:

The eligible candidates are those working as staff in departments of state/central government, public/private/NGO sector with three years of service at the time of applying for the Ph.D. program

Retired persons can also register themselves under this category, provided they satisfy the eligibility requirements

Selection process

The University shall admit students for Ph.D. programs through an entrance test at the level of the University, dates for which are notified on the University website www.adeshuniversity.ac.in. Candidates who have qualified following examinations will be exempted from entrance test:

(i) UGC/CSIR-NET/JRF examination

(ii) GATE/SLET/Teacher Fellowship examination

(iii) M.Phil. examination

a) The candidate must have passed (not before 2017) or appeared in B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) examination in 2017 from any recognized University

b) Candidates, who have appeared for their B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) examination and have their final results at the time of counselling will have to mandatorily produce all original mark sheets/grade cards of all semester/annual examinations passed at the Bachelor’s level. Such candidates must fulfill the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission

c) Candidates, who have appeared for their final B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) examination, but do not have their final results at the time of counselling, will be given provisional admission, on the basis of production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of all previous semester/annual examinations at their Bachelor’s level
However they must submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2018, demonstrating that they fulfil the minimum conditions of eligibility tabled below, failing which their admission will stands cancelled

d) Therefore the candidate must secure the minimum required percentage of marks/CGPA in Hons./major subject as per the following table in his/her B.A. (Hons) / B.Sc. (Hons) exam for final and confirmed admission

Test Syllabus
Under Graduate (Major/Honours Subjects) syllabus of Presidency University or its equivalent of any recognized Indian University

Pattern of Question Papers
The medium of tests will be English except for vernacular subjects like Hindi and Bengali. In every subject, all questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against each of the questions. There will 50 (fifty) questions in each paper, full marks 100 and time 90 minutes

Mode of answering in the Exam:
a) Questions are
to be answered on specially designed optical machine-readable response (OMR) sheet, which will be evaluated by the method of Optical Mark Recognition by specially designed machines and therefore it is very important to follow the correct method of marking
b) There will be 4 (four) alternative answers for each question. Candidate will indicate response to the questions by darkening the appropriate circle completely with blue/black ball point pen
c) Any other kind of marking e.g. filling the bubble incompletely, filling with pencil, cross mark, tick mark, dot mark, circular mark, over writing, scratching, erasing, white ink, marking outside the bubble etc. may lead to wrong/partial/ambiguous reading of the response
WBJEEB will be, in no way, responsible for such eventuality

Exam Centres

The examination will be conducted in various zones e.g. Kolkata Central, Kolkata - North, Kolkata - South,  Howrah, Kharagpur, Berhampur,  Malda, Kalyani, Bankura, Haldia, Assansol, Burdwan, Durgapur, Siliguri, Coochibihar, Srirampur

Any of the exam centres may be dropped if adequate number of candidates is not available

The form is interactive in nature; there are two major steps in application form submission as follows:

Step-1 Registration
Candidate has to input name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and e-mail id. Candidate must take utmost care to give these inputs. If mistakes are committed, there is no chance of correction

The mobile number and e-mail id entered will be used for all subsequent communication. Candidates also have to choose a log-in ID and password and remember them, which he/she will use for future log-in

PUMDET candidates have to first choose group-A or group-B of subjects and then choose maximum two subjects from his/her choice of group

Fee Submission

Candidate will have to pay the exam fee online (by Net Banking /Debit /Credit Cards) or Offline (by e-Challan)

The Amount of Application Fees to be paid for appearing in the PUMDET-2017 is Rs.500/- (Rupees four hundred only) plus the Bank’s Service Charges as applicable. The Exam Fees can be paid in cash less mode by ‘Net Banking’/‘Debit Card’/‘Credit Card’ or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan

If offline mode is chosen, an e-challan will be generated automatically. Candidate need to take a print of the challan and pay the fee in any branch of Allahabad Bank

About College:

NITIE Alumni Association (NAA) has been functioning to maintain the alumni relations of NITIE amongst the past students. Maintaining a strong alumni relations program is essential to the growth and development of our institute. With this motive in mind, the Executive Committee of the NAA has approved a proposal to create a Corpus Fund from the Alumni of NITIE. 

The donations will be accepted for both specific projects and general purposes. General contributions will be credited to the corpus fund. The management of the fund will be looked after by a committee chaired by the director and comprising of two senior faculty members and two representatives of Alumni. 

To ensure that the alumni of NITIE continues to be closely knit, NAA organizes Regional Alumni Meets every year to facilitate better interaction amongst the alumni and to strengthen their links with the institution. 
Last year we had the Chennai alumni meet at the picturesque Buena Vista beach resort at Neelangarai beach. Despite a heavy downpour, games like beach football and Housie were played followed by an elaborate two hour lunch. 

The Bangalore alumni meet of NITIE was held on 22nd of May at Taj Gateway. A lot of fruitful discussions took place about the recent happenings in NITIE and the changes that have taken place in the last 3 years. 
The Delhi alumni meet of NITIE was held on 15th of May at West End Inn. Mr. A Srinivasan from IE 1 batch also attended the meet and shared the genesis of NITIE. The star attraction of the meet was Dumb Charades wherein M/s. Akhilesh Tuteja and Avatar Mahajan won a lot of goodies. 

The Kolkatta meet was held on 29th May, the venue being the Taj Park Street. The alumni caught up with the status quo at NITIE regarding placements, infrastructure, faculty etc. Other cultural activities were also conducted. 

Yet another initiative by the NITIE students to strengthen bonds with the alumni is the monthly newsletter titled ???Lakeside Musings??? meant exclusively for private circulation among the alumni. 

The alumni committee expresses its deep gratitude to the distinguished alumni for their affection and co-operation in organizing/participating in the meets and for their wonderful appreciation of the newsletters.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi conducts All India Entrance Exams for admission to Undergraduate, Post-Graduate and Doctoral Degree Programs in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for filling 15% seats in Bachelor and 25% seats each in Master (100% seats in ICAR-DUs) 

Through AIEEA-PG, 475 ICAR PG Scholarships and through AICE-JRF/SRF/(PGS), 202 fellowships are also awarded. Those candidates who do not get ICAR PG Scholarship are awarded NTS (PGS) provided they take admission outside their state of domicile

Eligibility Criteria ICAR AIEEA 2018 

Age Limit 

For AIEEA-UG-2018: Not less than 16 years as on 31st August 2018 

For AIEEA-PG-2018: Not less than 19 years as on 31st August 2018 

For AICE-SRF (PGS)-2018 (for PhD): Not less than 20 years as on the date of exam, i.e. 11th June 2018 

Qualifying Examination 

For AIEEA-UG-2018 (Other than Veterinary Sciences): 

Candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination or equivalent with PCM/PCB/PCMB/PCF subject combinations/Inter Agriculture for admission under General, UPS (Under Privileged State) and OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PC categories. However, candidates with PCF combination are eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Horti.) only

For AIEEA-PG-2018: 
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science (renamed as Community Science), Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Forestry, Agri. Marketing and Cooperation, Food Science, Biotechnology, etc., under 10+2+4 or 10+2+5 (B.V.Sc. &A.H.) or 10+6 (B.Sc. Ag.) years degree programmes (Few seats are available for candidates having Bachelor degree with 10+2+3 (basic sciences) at two ICAR-DUs i.e. IARI & NDRI only), with required OGPA of at least 6.60/10, 3.25/5, 2.60/4 for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/PC categories, the said requirement is 5.60/10, 2.75/5, 2.20/4, respectively 
In other cases, where grade points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories; whereas for SC/ST/PC, the requirement is 50% marks (equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable)

For AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS)-2018 
The candidates must have passed Master’s Degree programme in the concerned discipline securing Overall Grade Point Average of at least 6.50/10.00 scale, 3.25/5.00 scale, 2.60/4.00 scale for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS Categories and 5.50/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 scale for SC/ST/PC categories, respectively 
In other cases, where grade points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS Category 
For SC/ST/PC candidates, the minimum percentage of marks will be 50%. The equivalence between OGPA and percent marks will not be acceptable. Candidates must complete the post-graduate degree in all respects and produce the degree-completion certificate from the Registrar to this effect on the date of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for admission and the award of fellowship 
The fellowship would be granted only when the candidate seeks admission through counseling conducted by ICAR and pursues PhD degree in an accredited Agriculture University except an ICAR-DU where 100% seats will be filled up through its own separate national level exam 

ICAR AIEEA 2018 Seat & Reservation 

For the academic session 2018-19, ICAR 23rd AIEEA UG and ICAR 23rd AIEEA PG will be conducted to admit candidates in 100% seats available at ICAR deemed-to-be-Universities 

State Agricultural Universities also provides admission through ICAR 2018 AIEEA UG and PG entrance exam. It offers 15% seats for UG degree courses and 25% seats for PG degree courses 

Reservation Criteria is as following: 
SC - 15% seats 
ST - 7.5% seats 
PC - 3% seats 
UPS - 2% seats 
OBC - Reservation in Central Educational Institutions/ Universities will be as per govt. of India rule 

ICAR AIEEA UG 2018 Exam Pattern 

Exam Duration: 2½ hours 

Language of the Question Paper: Bilingual i.e. English and Hindi 

Subjects in Question Paper: There shall be a single question paper booklet comprising of five subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture. Out of five subjects in the question booklet, the candidate has to attempt/opt/choose only three subjects 

Number of Questions: The question paper will have 60 multiple choice questions for each subject, each with four options. Examinees have to attempt only 180 questions as per subject combination selected 

Marking Scheme AIEEA UG 2018 
For correctly answered question four marks will be awarded. You can get maximum 720 marks in the paper. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. If a question is not attempted and left blank no marks will be awarded or deducted in that case 
It is advised to the candidates to not to attempt such questions in the OMR answer sheet, for which they are not sure of the correct answer. If more than one answer is indicated against a question, such response will be deemed as incorrect answer and will invite negative marking 

How to Apply:

Application Procedure AIEEA UG 2018 
Indian Council of Agricultural Research issues online forms. The application for AIEEA 2018 will be available on the official site of ICRA at www.icar.org.in 
Applicants will be required to fill in all the details in the online application. Also, he/she may need to upload a recent passport size coloured photograph, thumb impression (left for male/ right for female) and /or signature. Applicants can pay the application fee by the means of Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking.

AIEEA-UG-2018:
Rs.500/- for General, OBC & UPS Categories & Rs.250/- for SC/ST & PC Categories 
AIEEA-PG-2018: Rs.600/- for General, OBC & UPS Categories & Rs.300/- for SC/ST & PC Categories
AICE-JRF /SRF (PGS): Rs.1200/- for General, OBC & UPS Categories & Rs.600/- for SC/ST & PC Categories

Admit Card 
The admit card of AIEEA UG will be released online, on the official website. The candidates must carry it to the exam hall as a print copy. It is important to ensure that the copy of the admit card should be self-attested by the candidate. The attestation includes affixing a Photograph, writing Signature, and inserting Thumb Impression in the appropriate space
