About College:

Teerthanker Mahaveer University is a Jain Minority State Private University established by Act No. 30 of 2008 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and has been approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956. The university is located on National Highway-24 and is barely 144 Kms from National Capital, New Delhi. The University stand committed to the ideals of Lord Mahaveer i.e. Right Philosophy, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct in all its operations and aspires to be recognized as an ultimate destination for world-class education.

The university owes its origin to Teerthanker Mahaveer Institute of Management and Technology (TMIMT), which forayed into professional education in the year 2001 by offering courses such as BBA, BCA, MCA, MBA, B. Ed, M. Ed and B. Sc. (Home Science). After the university came in to existence in 2008, these programs are being run under the TMIMT and Department of Home Science. Subsequently colleges/departments like: Dental, Medical,

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. About College:

Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’.

The story of its growth from a small institution in the pre-independence India to a central university located in New Delhi—offering integrated education from nursery to research in specialized areas—is a saga of dedication, conviction and vision of a people who worked against all odds and saw it growing step by step. They “built up the Jamia Millia stone by stone and sacrifice by sacrifice,” said Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India.

Conception

Under the colonial British rule, two dominant trends joined hands and contributed towards in the birth of Jamia. One was the anti-colonial Islamic activism and the other was the pro-independence aspiration of the politically radical section of western educated Indian Muslim intelligentsia. In the political climate of 1920, the two trends gravitated together with Mahatma Gandhi as a catalyst. The anti-colonial activism signified by the Khilafat and the pro-independence aspirations symbolised by the non-cooperation movement of the Indian National Congress helped to harness creative energies and the subsequent making of Jamia Millia Islamia. Rabindranath Tagore called it “one of the most progressive educational institutions of India”.

Responding to Gandhiji’s call to boycott all educational institutions supported or run by the colonial regime, a group of nationalist teachers and students quitAligarh Muslim University, protesting against its pro-British inclinations. The prominent members of this movement were Maulana Mehmud Hasan, Maulana Mohamed Ali, Hakim Ajmal Khan, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Ansari, and Abdul Majid Khwaja.

Cochin Shipyard was incorporated in the year 1972 as a fully owned Government of India company. In the last three decades the company has emerged as a forerunner in the Indian Shipbuilding & Shiprepair industry. This yard can build and repair the largest vessels inIndia. It can build ships upto 1,10,000 DWT and repair ships upto 1,25,000 DWT. The yard has delivered two of India’s largest double hull Aframax tankers each of 95,000 DWT. CSL has secured shipbuilding orders from internationally renowned companies from Europe & Middle East and is nominated to build the country’s first indigenous Air Defense Ship. 

Shipyard commenced ship repair operations in the year 1982 and has undertaken repairs of all types of ships including upgradation of ships of oil exploration industry as well as periodical lay up repairs and life extension of ships of Navy, UTL, Coast Guard, Fisheries and Port Trust besides merchant ships of SCI & ONGC. The yard has, over the years, developed adequate capabilities to handle complex and sophisticated repair jobs.

Christ University, formerly Christ College (Autonomous) affiliated to Bangalore University was established in July 1969. Exam Pattern for admission to UPSC Prelims Coaching:

The Entrance Test will be of 2 hours duration, carrying 200 marks and two sections. Section I and section II. Section I will be of the objective type (multiple-choice questions)
75 questions will be asked, each carrying 2 marks (75x2=150)
First 50 questions will be based on syllabus of Paper I, UPSC Preliminary Test (2016). Last 25 questions will be based on syllabus of Paper II. Under section II, 04 topics will be given and the candidate has to write an essay on any one. It carries 50 marks (1x50=50). Short-listed candidates will be called for interview, which carries 50 marks

Final selection will be based on combined marks of Entrance Test and Interview
Questions may also be framed from basic books such as NCERT/any other relevant study material

There will not be any tuition fee or coaching fee. However, the candidates shall pay the following fees:
