About College:

Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC) has emerged as India’s Largest Vocational Training Network for the Apparel Sector with over 150 ATDCs including 25 ATDC Vocational Institutes and over 150 ATDC- SMART Peripatetic Centres and Skill Camps at present in major Apparel clusters spread across 20 states PanIndia.

ATDC’s National Head Office at "PARIDHAN VIKAS BHAWAN" in Sector-44, Gurgaon manages and monitors the activities of the Pan-India network of ATDC Vocational Institute & Centres and also over sees implementation of the SMART Project. The new building was inaugurated by the Secretary Textiles, MOT, GOI on 22nd November, 2010. 

ATDC’s aim is to train skilled workforce for the rapidly growing export and domestic sectors of the Apparel Industry and upgrade the technical skills to improve quality, productivity and efficiency in a global context. In ATDCs journey of “Skilling the Apparel Sector” it now has the largest network of 25 ATDC Vocational Institutes offering Certificate, Diploma & Associate Degree Programmes and over 150 ATDC-SMART Centres & Skill Camps offering 1-4 months Certificate Programmes under its banner. The Banaras Hindu University shall conduct Postgraduate Entrance Tests, hereinafter called „PET‟, during May and 1st week of June, 2015 for admission to various Postgraduate Courses as gicven hereunder for the Session 2015-2016. Note: + A candidate, having passed B. A.(Hons.)/B.A. with Ancient History as a subject is not eligible, for admission in M. A. in History but can apply for M.A. in AIHC & Arch, in the Faculty of Arts.

++ A candidate having passed B.Sc. (Hons.)/B.Sc. with Psychology as Hons. subject or a subject studied in all the three years at B.Sc. level is eligible for admission in M.Sc. in Psychology.

(Hons.)/ B.Sc. under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc. Course). The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons. subject at B.Sc. (Hons.) level/a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level. However, for admission to M.Sc. in Botany/ Zoology, a candidate must also have offered Chemistry as one of the subjects at the Graduate level. Similarly, for admission in M. Sc. in Statistics, a candidate must also have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at the Graduate level. Note: # Candidate must have studied the subject Computer Science(not Computer Applications, Information Technology, etc. as its place) in all the three years.

(Master of Science in Agriculture) in Agricultural Economics; Agronomy; Animal Husbandry & Dairying; Entomology & Agricultural Zoology; Extension Education; Genetics & Plant Breeding; Horticulture; Mycology & Plant Pathology; Plant Physiology; Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry Duration:4 Semesters (2 Years)

1. Candidates with 4-years B.Sc. (Ag.) degree with credit based course programme under the guidelines of ICAR or an equivalent examination;

2. Candidates with 4-years B.Sc. (Horti.) Degree with credit based course programme under the guidelines of ICAR will be considered for M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture only.

3. 6.00/10 or 2.5/4, 3.5/5, 4.0/6 OGPA for general candidates.

After the candidate has filled up the application form online, he/she will have following options for payment of Application Processing/Entrance Test Fee:

a.  Online payment through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance test portal.

b.  Payment of Entrance Test Fee in Cash through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank: After filling up the application form, its submission and selecting this mode for payment, the candidate can print the Challan from the entrance test portal. The printout of challan will contain all necessary details of the candidate, bank account details of the Banaras Hindu University in which the entrance test fee will be deposited and the exact amount to be deposited. The candidate will be required to visit any branch of the HDFC Bank of his/her choice where he/she will be required to deposit the requisite Fee amount to the Bank.

Indian Institute of Crafts and Design is an innovative, first of its kind Institute set up by the Government of Rajasthan, to develop human resources for the craft sector. Presently it is being managed by the Ambuja Educational Institute (AEI) under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Crafts are moving from the local to the global arena. In such a scenario, human resource development for the craft sector becomes important, more so because of low levels of literacy and education among the artisans. Even though craft production remains inherently skill based, yet the long term success and sustainability of crafts and artisans depends on development of systematic process, requisite competencies for raw material procurement, product development, quality control and marketing. These changes have to be accepted by the artisans also. The craft sector in Indian has sociological and cultural roots. The younger generation of artisans has to believe in the tradition and also adapt to emerging opportunities. A cadre of young professionals dedicated to craft sector can be effective change agents. The Institute has been well accepted by the industry and the apex bodies for handicrafts and handloom development. The proof of this lies in the fact that the successive batches of Undergraduate and Post Graduate Diploma students in Crafts and Design has been placed well. The Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) has empanelled the IICD students as designers for its design projects. The Institute’s projects have been well appreciated and recognized by the client agencies and steadily, the Institute is moving to live up to its mandate.
