In the meeting of BOG MDI held on 11th October, 2010, the board had discussed the proposal regarding expansion of MDI in the eastern and southern part of the country. It was informed to the Board during the meeting that the Govt. of West Bengal is setting up a Food Park in JANGIPUR, West Bengal on PPP model and is willing to allot 10 to 12 acres of land to MDI for setting up educational institute.

Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) Approved by AICTE

Eligibility:

·         The candidates should be able to furnish valid score of CAT 2019

·         The candidates must have at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both X and XII.

·         The candidate must have minimum 3 year’s Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) and completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30th June, 2020 can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October, 2020; otherwise they may be asked to withdraw from the programme.

·         The basis for computing the percentage obtained by the candidate would be based on the practice followed by the university/ institution/board from where the candidate has obtained the degree/certificate. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/institution/board from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree/certificate. In case the university/institution/board does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by MDIM by dividing obtained CGPA with maximum possible CGPA and multiplying fraction so obtained by 100.

Selection Process

·         Candidates who are able to furnish valid score of CAT would be short listed on the basis of the details in the application form and the CAT scores. Only the short listed candidates will then be called for Group Discussion followed by Personal Interviews at one of the centres, viz. Kolkata, Gurgaon and Bangalore/Mumbai/Chennai/Hyderabad (centres other than Kolkata and Gurgaon are tentative).

·         Foreign / OCI/ PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries applicants can be considered for admission on the basis of their valid GMAT scores (taken not before Tuesday, 1st January 2019 and not later than Wednesday, 20th November 2019). Applicants have to apply online by visiting MDI M website https://www.mdim.ac.in. Online registration for Foreign / OCI/ PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries applicants will be Open till Friday, 22 November 2019, 17:00 hrs.

·         Candidates have to register for MDI Programme at GMAT website at the time of taking GMAT Examination. Applicants shortlisted on the basis of their GMAT score will be interviewed by MDIM. Government of India (GOI) rules will be followed related to admission of these categories of candidates. GOI guidelines will be applicable in determining the status of applicants. Candidates have to make an online payment of Rs.1180 (inclusive of 18% GST) using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking.

About College:

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is one of the premier institutes in the country offering education, training, research and consultancy in sustainable management of tourism, travel and other allied sectors. The stakeholders’ realization that the country is in need of such professionals who can provide an excellent standard of products and services, resulted in the creation of IITTM in 1983 at New Delhi. It is devoted to the pursuit of higher knowledge in tourism and its dissemination to a diverse audience. Over the years, Institute has established a distinguished identity of its own and reached at a commanding position among sectoral B-Schools in the country. With its focus in meeting the changing needs of the tourism industry, it has played a pioneering role in the propagation and professionalisation of tourism education. The management of the Institute is entrusted in the hands of the Board of Governors having the Union Minister for Tourism as its Chairperson. The efforts of the Institute have been instrumental in evolving the fundamental framework for tourism education and training in the country as it exists today. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has also entrusted the institute to conduct regional level guide training programmes for all the regions of the country.

Course Name:

BBA (Tourism & Travel)

Eligibility:

1) Candidates seeking admission in BBA (TT) programme shall be required to possess 10+2 examinations in any subject from a recognized University / Board with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST). Candidates appearing in final year examination of 10+ 2 are also eligible to apply, subject to they must submit their result of graduation with the requisite percentage of marks by October 31, 2018, failing which their admission will be cancelled and course fee deposited in the institute, will also be forfeited. (In this regards, the student must submit an affidavit on nonjudicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- ).

2) Appear in written test “IGNTU IITTM Admission Test (IIAT)” to be conducted by IGNTU & IITTM. Admission Test will be held on June 9, 2019 (Sunday) (tentative) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at IITTM centres (i.e. Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Noida & Nellore) and the other centers shortlisted, which will be notified later. The candidate has to write their answers on OMR Sheet. It will be an objective type test with four options of nearest answers carrying 100 questions / 100 marks [General Awareness (50 Marks), Verbal ability (25 Marks) and Quantitative ability (25 marks)]. One mark for each right answer and no negative marking for wrong answer.

3) Group Discussion And Personal Interview:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for GD and PI at any one of the IITTM centres, which they have to mark in the admission form:

Eligibility:

1) Candidates seeking admission to MBA (TTM) programme shall be required to possess a Bachelor degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) having secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in case of General and OBC categories and 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are eligible to apply.

Note: If the seats reserved for SC/ST remain vacant then the same will be filled by the SC/ST candidates who appear for entrance exam irrespective of their ranking in the exam.

In the meeting of BOG MDI held on 11th October, 2010, the board had discussed the proposal regarding expansion of MDI in the eastern and southern part of the country. It was informed to the Board during the meeting that the Govt. of West Bengal is setting up a Food Park in JANGIPUR, West Bengal on PPP model and is willing to allot 10 to 12 acres of land to MDI for setting up educational institute.

Eligibility:

·         The candidates should be able to furnish valid score of CAT

·         The candidates must have at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both X and XII.

·         The candidate must have minimum 3 year’s Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) and completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30th June, 2019 can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October, 2019; otherwise they may be asked to withdraw from the programme.

·         The basis for computing the percentage obtained by the candidate would be based on the practice followed by the university/ institution/board from where the candidate has obtained the degree/certificate. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/institution/board from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree/certificate. In case the university/institution/board does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by MDIM by dividing obtained CGPA with maximum possible CGPA and multiplying fraction so obtained by 100”

Selection Process

Selection Process Candidates who are able to furnish valid score of CAT would be short listed on the basis of the details in the application form and the CAT scores. Only the short listed candidates will then be called for Group Discussion followed by Personal Interviews at one of the centres, viz. Kolkata, Gurgaon and Bangalore/Mumbai/Chennai/Hyderabad (centres other than Kolkata and Gurgaon are tentative).

Online registration for Foreign / OCI/ PIO/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries applicants will be Open till Friday, 23rd November 2018, 17.00 hrs. Candidates have to register for MDI Programme at GMAT website at the time of taking GMAT Examination. Applicants shortlisted on the basis of their GMAT score will be interviewed by MDIM. Government of India (GOI) rules will be followed related to admission of these categories of candidates. GOI guidelines will be applicable in determining the status of applicants. Candidates have to make an online payment of Rs.1180 (inclusive of 18% GST) using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking.
