d. Qualified UGC NET-JRF/ CSIR NET-JRF/ DBT JRF/ ICMR JRF/ DST INSPIRE or equivalent examination /fellowship.

Forms are available on the university website, which can be submitted along with Online Payment or Demand Draft of Rs. 1100/- by (09th Jan, 2020). Eligibility:

*The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the respective University/ institution. If a University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result by 100.

# Five percent marks relaxation is given to applicants from SC, ST and PwD categories; i.e., these applicants should have scored at least 50%, 45% and 55% respectively depending on the qualification that the candidate has acquired.

The above qualification should be from any of the Universities, or other educational institutions, incorporated by an act of the Parliament or State legislature in India; or declared to be deemed as a University under Section3 of UGC Act, 1956, or, recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Candidates who are in the final year of the qualifying Programmes that would make them eligible can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by June 10, 2020 from the Principal/ Head of the Department / Registrar or Director of the University / Institute stating that they have appeared for the examinations (including practical examinations) in all the subjects required for obtaining the Master's / Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification. Centres for the IIM Sirmaur Test include Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh and Paonta Sahib H.P. (Himachal Pradesh). However, the Institute reserves the right to add/cancel any centre for the conduct of Entrance Test.

Announcement of the final selection/merit list under any category/quota shall be strictly in order of inter-se merit on the basis of the composite score arrived at using weightages as per valid CAT 2019/GMAT (last 5 years)/IIM Sirmaur 2020 Test score, PI score, academic profile, work experience and gender diversity.

Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the plantation sector through management education and training, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990 to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation sector. The candidates for the program must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.

A Master’s degree/PGP from IIMs or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average or

Professional qualifications such as CA/ICWA with degree and CS with B. Com degree along with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average or

4 Year/8 Semester Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch) with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent. or

Five year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline, with at least 60% aggregate marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Those who are appearing for their final year examination in the current academic year may also apply. However, their admission to the programme will be provisional subject to their successful completion of all requirements for obtaining the relevant degree before 30th June 2020.

*The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ institution. If any University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

SELECTION PROCESS

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria as stated above are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Alternatively, those who have qualified GATE, GRE, GMAT or JRF (UGC/CSIR) examinations can also apply in the relevant area of specialization. Scores of any of these examinations including CAT taken during the last two years (two years from the date of the standard test and should be valid on the deadline of submission of the application form, i.e., on or after 1st July, 2018) will be considered valid. Admission to the programme is open to overseas candidates including NRIs and foreign nationals. Candidates who have already have two-year full-time PGP completed in last 10 years from IIMs with minimum grade point equivalent to 6.0 out of 10 point scale or equivalent (with no ‘F’s and not more than two ‘D’s in the first year of PGP) are exempted from the test score, and can apply directly. It is necessary that candidates applying for exemption/Waiver from test must attach copies of both side of the grade sheet to ascertain the equivalence between the grading systems of other IIMs, without which, the application for exemption from test will not be considered. The candidates short-listed on the basis of their academic record and performance in the competitive examinations mentioned above will be called to IIM Raipur for a personal interview for final selection during 8th & 9th April of the year of admission and the successful candidates will receive offers by mid-May of that year. A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Raipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send a commitment fee of Rs. 36,000 (the date of submission will be mentioned in admission offer letter) along with Offer Acceptance Form which will be adjusted against the amount of first installment. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified in the Offer Letter, Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting Rs.1000/- as processing charges. In the event of withdrawal from the Programme after registration, and if seat consequently falling vacant gets filled by another candidate by the last date of admission, IIM Raipur will return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of fee and hostel rent, where applicable.

PhD Application Form

The PhD application form can be filled online through the link given in IIM Raipur’s website. A candidate is eligible to fill applications to a maximum of two areas. The last date to apply online is February 28, 2020

Relevant Test Scores

Relevant Test Scores include CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/JRF (UGC/CSIR). The test score should be valid on the deadlines of the submission of the application form. Test scores of last two years will only be considered.

Supporting Documents

The supporting documents will consist of:

·         Self-attested copies of mark sheets or transcripts of grades obtained during the course of study for the above degrees. Transcripts in languages other than Hindi and English must be submitted along with certified translations.
