About College:

The Nalanda Open University is the only University in the State of Bihar meant for imparting learning exclusively through the system of distance education. The University was established in March, 1987 by an ordinance, promulgated by the Government of Bihar. Later, Nalanda Open University Act, 1995 was passes by the Bihar Legislature, replacing the Ordinance, and the University came under the authority and jurisdiction of the new Act automatically. The University is named after the famous Nalanda University of Ancient India. At present, the University is functioning from its camp office at Biscomaun Bhawan, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 12th Floors, Patna 800 001. The University has established at its camp office at Patna a well equipped and fully automated modern office in an area of approximately 60,000 sq. feet, which houses an examination centre for about 1000 students, a state of the art Library with about 50,000 titles and a computer laboratory of about 300 IBM Pentium-4 computers, apart from administrative offices and other infra-structures. The University is recognised by the Distance Education Council (DEC), University Grants Commission, and Ministry of HRD, Government of India for imparting education through distance mode.

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur has announced the exam dates for NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET-2017), which will be conducted in May 2017. NIMCET will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017. NIMCET is conducted for taking admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program offered in NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra,Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal for the session 2017-18.

Eligibility Criteria for NIMCET 2017:

Indian nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in case of SC, ST) in B.Sc/ B.Sc (Hons)/ BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time or B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent from a recognized university are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2017 test.

Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET-2017.

Application Procedure for NIMCET 2017:

Candidates can apply online.

The non-refundable processing fee for NIMCET-2017 test and counseling for admission to the MCA program is Rs. 2000/- for OPEN/OBC category and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST category candidates.

Paper Pattern for NIMCET 2017:

The duration of NIMCET-2017 examination is two hours.

All rough work is to be done in the test booklet only. The candidate should not do any rough work or put any stray marks on the OMR sheet.

NIMCET-2017 test will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects.

AIIMS was created in 1956 to serve as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all aspects of health care Creating a country imbued with a scientific culture was Jawaharlal Nehru's dream, and immediately after independence he prepared a grand design to achieve it. Among the temples of modern India which he designed, was a centre of excellence in the medical sciences. Nehru's dream was that such a centre would set the pace for medical education and research in Southeast Asia, and in this he had the wholehearted support of his Health Minister, Rajkumari Amrit  Kaur.

The health survey and development committee ,chaired by Sir Joseph Bhore, an   Indian Civil Servant ,had in 1946 already recommended the establishment of a national medical centre which would concentrate on meeting the need for highly qualified manpower to look after the nation's expanding health care activities . The dreams of Nehru and Amrit Kaur and the recommendations of the Bhore Committee converged to create  a proposal which found favor with the government of New Zealand. A generous grant from New Zealand under the Colombo Plan made it possible to lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in 1952.The AIIMS was finally created in 1956, as an autonomous institution through an Act of Parliament, to serve as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all aspect of health care.

All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.

Jawaharlal  Institute  of  Postgraduate  Medical  Education  and  Research,  Puducherry  (JIPMER)  under Government of India since the year 1956, is one of the leading Medical Institutions of India. Spread over a sprawling 195 acre campus in an urban locale of Puducherry (formerly Pondicherry), JIPMER is 170 kms by road from Chennai.

JIPMER has been declared as an Institution of National Importance by a Parliamentary Act, i.e. JIPMER, Puducherry, Act, 2008. A copy of the Act was Gazette notified on 14-7-2008 to enforce this Act. Prior to this the Institute was functioning under the administrative control of Directorate General of Health Service, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.

The Institution is now empowered to award Medical Degrees, Diplomas, etc., under the clauses 23 & 24 of the said Act. AIIMS was created in 1956 to serve as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all aspects of health care Creating a country imbued with a scientific culture was Jawaharlal Nehru's dream, and immediately after independence he prepared a grand design to achieve it. Among the temples of modern India which he designed, was a centre of excellence in the medical sciences. Nehru's dream was that such a centre would set the pace for medical education and research in Southeast Asia, and in this he had the wholehearted support of his Health Minister, Rajkumari Amrit  Kaur.

The health survey and development committee ,chaired by Sir Joseph Bhore, an   Indian Civil Servant ,had in 1946 already recommended the establishment of a national medical centre which would concentrate on meeting the need for highly qualified manpower to look after the nation's expanding health care activities . The dreams of Nehru and Amrit Kaur and the recommendations of the Bhore Committee converged to create  a proposal which found favor with the government of New Zealand. A generous grant from New Zealand under the Colombo Plan made it possible to lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in 1952.The AIIMS was finally created in 1956, as an autonomous institution through an Act of Parliament, to serve as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all aspect of health care.

All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBBS in All India Institute of Medical Science, AIIMS, New Delhi

Candidate should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (2017).

Candidate should have passed the 12th  class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a recognized University/ Board of any English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subject with minimum aggregate of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/OPH candidates).

Application Process

1.      Candidates who are interested in taking AIIMS UG 2017 entrance exam are required to apply online by visiting the official website of AIIMS. Kindly read the prospectus carefully before starting the online registration.

2.      Candidates are required to give order of preference for six new AIIMS like institutions apart from AIIMS Delhi. No documents are to be attached with the AIIMS UG 2017 application form.

3.      Application fee for AIIMS UG 2017 entrance exam is:

Rs 1000 for General/ OBC category

Rs 800/- for SC/ST category

4.      Payment can be made through computer generated Challan Form in any branch of State Bank of India.

5.      Candidates are required to download the registration form and keep the copy of the same until the admission process is over.

Paper Pattern for AIIMS MBBS 2017:

The test will be a computer based test.

The duration of the examination shall be 3 ½ hours.

Examination will have one paper consisting of 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge.

Each correct response will get a score of 1 mark.

Each incorrect response will get a score of - 1⁄3 (minus-one-third).

No credit will be given for the questions not answered or marked for review.

Closing Date:

Application form closes on: 23rd February 2017

Date of AIIMS MBBS exam: Sunday, May 28, 2017.

Date of declaration of result: Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

The AIIMS MBBS entrance exam will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017.
