About College:

Eligibility:

The candidate seeking admission in B. Tech. Programme under Continuing Education shall possess the essential qualification as follows.

I.             Three-year regular Diploma in relevant branch of Engineering awarded by any state board of technical education/Diploma recognized by AICTE, Delhi.

II.           The candidate should be a working professional with full-Time employment in any reputed organization registered under company act or having valid TIN/GST Number and located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and contiguous industrial areas within the radius of 50 Km distance from DTU i.e. Bahadurgarh. Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Sonepat, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida & Greater Noida) and Gurugram etc.

In addition, candidates of General category must have secured at least 60% marks in qualifying Diploma or equivalent CGPA provided by the concerned Institute/ University. In case of CGPA, if conversion formula has not been provided by the concerned Institute/University then equivalent percentage of Marks will be computed as per following formula:

Percentage of Marks= 10 X CGPA

Relaxation in minimum percentage requirement will be granted to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/OBC categories as given in Table 3 given in the brochure. The aggregate marks (aggregate of all six semesters/three years) awarded will be considered for eligibility.

How to apply:

The Candidates seeking admission in B. Tech. Programme under Continuing Education need to submit completed application form along with required documents as mentioned above to the Co-Chairman (Admission), B. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit. The candidates must ensure that the University receives the application on or before the last date. How to apply:

Admission Process For B. Tech. Programme (Lateral Entry) 2019, all candidates need to register and fill the application ONLINE only by the accessing college website from May 10, 2019 to June 03, 2019 (mid night). The instructions for filling the ONLINE application form are available at the DTU website. The application process is completed only when a printout of the filled ONLINE application form is taken after paying the online registration fee. At the times of admission, the followings documents are to be submitted:

a.    A duly signed printout of the filled application form (same as submitted ONLINE) along with two good quality photographs (same as uploaded on the online application form) affixed in the appropriate place on the form.

b.    Attested copies of all mark sheets and certificate of qualifying examination (Diploma). If a candidate is/has appearing/appeared in the final year examination of diploma, then he/she needs to produce a certificate as per the Annexure-1 given in the brochure.

c.    Attested copies of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/ PwD Certificate(s) whichever applicable, on the basis of which reservation is claimed. OBC-NCL candidates must produce the necessary financial documents to support their category as per Annexure-2 given in the brochure.

Chandigarh the largest and the most daring experiment in modern urbanism has become the Mecca for architects from all over the world. Chandigarh’s pre-eminence as an International Cityrests largely on the world renowned architect Le Corbusier; who developed its master plan in 1951, based on his urban planning theories and his masterly architectural works.

What is not so well known is the fact that the 20th century's greatest architect also succeeded in getting Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA) established as an integral part of the great Chandigarh Experiment. GLA University was started with the establishment of GLA Institute of Technology & Management offering B.Tech and MCA programs, in the year 1998 by the current Chancellor Shri Narayan Das Agrawal. The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MOP&NG), Government of India set up The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) at Jais, Dist. The candidate should have worked for the sponsoring organization for at least two years and need to submit a No Objection Certificate, leave approval for one year and the company should guarantee continued employment during the period of study.

The proud edifice at P-19, Taratala Road, Calcutta 700088 Symbolizes the birth of Marine Engineering training in India. Indian Maritime University – Kochi Kerala has been the Maritime gateway to South India with a very long coast line. Kochi the queen of Arabian Sea placed along this coast line has always kept its doors open to the maritime industry. Kochi Port, an all-weather port, is most strategically located on the east west trade route. No other Indian port enjoys this proximity to the maritime highway as Kochi port. All these factors fuelled the growth of Kochi as a maritime hub. The port city of Kochi with its rich maritime background promises great potential for establishment of Maritime institutions offering specialized maritime courses and training. (c) Candidates who have studied under 10+2 pattern of education and qualified for the Degree of Master of Science of three-year  duration in the School/ Faculty of Medicine of this University or of any other University recognized by this University securing a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade).

(d) Candidates of Indian origin or overseas students who have qualified for a Master’s Degree of an accredited overseas university securing a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade).

Requirement of Experience & Other Conditions

Ph.D. Part-Time (Internal)

(a) Teacher candidates working in College/ University departments and such other institutions recognized by Pondicherry University with at least two years of continuous teaching experience at degree and/ or post-graduate level in the subject concerned.

(b) Teacher candidates teaching in Recognized Schools at the Higher Secondary School level/ Polytechnic colleges situated within the jurisdiction of Pondicherry University and have put in at least 5 years of continuous teaching experience in the subject concerned after obtaining Master's Degree

(c) Non-teaching staff employed in a time scale of pay in this University and other affiliated research institutions provided that (i) the candidate has at least 7 years of work experience after obtaining Master's Degree of which at least two years should be relevant to the field of research proof of which to be evidenced  through two research papers published in UGC approved journals(wherever applicable) or standard journals OR (ii) the candidate has at least 5 years of work experience with M.Phil. in the subject concerned and published two research papers in UGC approved journals(wherever applicable) or standard journals in the subject concerned.

(d) Candidates under the regulations of part-time (Internal) shall be required to carryout part time research work in the concerned department or in a department approved for research by this University. Interdisciplinary research for such part-time internal candidates shall be allowed only with the approval of the Chairperson of the Academic Council.

(e) Candidates under the regulations of part-time (Internal) are prohibited from engaging in any other assignment/employment or joining any other course of study without the prior approval of the Chairperson of Academic Council.

Requirement of Experience & Other Conditions

Ph.D. Part-time (External)

(a) Permanent academic staff of colleges/ universities/ other educational institutions of higher learning/ Research & Development Laboratories and Organizations with at least three years of continuous teaching/ research experience.

(b) Employees with a minimum of ten years of experience after obtaining Master's Degree in Government, Local Bodies, recognized Institutes, Public Sector Undertakings, NonGovernmental Organizations, provided the candidate has experience in the relevant field of research for at least three continuous years out of ten years of service and published, at least, two papers in UGC approved journals or standard journals or reports/ monologues/ book of equivalent standard or a patent registered, in the concerned subject/ area of research.

(c) Technocrats, Scientists, Social Scientists & Scholars and Administrators with at least 10 years of experience in India or abroad after obtaining Master's Degree and educational qualifications as prescribed for Ph.D. full-time and Parttime programme, having sufficient exposure in research & development and generated useful data/ patent/ knowledge as evidenced by at least two papers in UGC approved Journals or Standard Journals or report/ monologues/ book of equivalent standard or patent registered in the concerned subject/ are of research.

General Conditions

(a) The candidate would be required to give a seminar before the Admission Committee on the proposed topic of research in the concerned School/ Department/ Centre. The admission committee/University may also adapt any other method of evaluation of the candidate which will also form the basis for considering the provisional admission to the candidate. The Admission Committee/ University should be convinced of the potential of the candidate to carry out research. 

(b) All the Ph.D. Applicants called for inteview should submit at the time of interview, a clear written proposal of the research to be conducted, giving sufficient back-ground material and the proposed line of research, and obtain the consent of a guide duly recognized by the University within the University area. In case of candidates working outside the University area, a Coguide duly recognized by the University may be permitted, if necessary, in addition to the University Guide/ Supervisor on the recommendation of Doctoral Committee. Mere possession of required educational and other qualifications and called for interview alone cannot be claimed as a right for admission to the Ph.D. programme in the Pondicherry University
