The failure of the selected candidate to pay the entire amount annual tution fees, development fees and other fees at the time of counselling will result into forfeiture of his claim for admission and the same will be given to the next in the merit list

If a candidate does not fulfill any one or all the above requirements he/she will not be considered eligible for admission irrespective of his appearing and securing a rank in the merit list

About College:

THE FOUNDER Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, one of the architects of modern India was born on October 17, 1817 in Delhi and started his career as a civil servant.

The 1857 revolt was one of the turning points in Syed Ahmed's life. He clearly foresaw the imperative need for the Muslims to acquire proficiency in the English language and modern sciences, if the community were to maintain its social and political clout, particularly in Northern India.

He was one of those early pioneers who recognized the critical role of education in the empowerment of the poor and backward Muslim community. In more than one ways, Sir Syed was one of the greatest social reformers and a great national builder of modern India. He began to prepare the road map for the formation of a Muslim University by starting various schools. He instituted Scientific Society in 1863 to instill a scientific temperament into the Muslims and to make the Western knowledge available to Indians in their own language.

The Aligarh Institute Gazette, an organ of the Scientific Society, was launched in March 1866 and succeeded in agitating the minds in the traditional Muslim society. Anyone with a poor level of commitment would have backed off in theface of strong opposition but Sir Syed responded by bringing out another journal, Tehzibul Akhlaq which was rightly named in English as 'Mohammedan Social Reformer'.

In 1875, Sir Syed founded the Madarsatul Uloom in Aligarh and patterned the MAO College after Oxford and Cambridge universities that he went on a trip toLondon. His objective was to build a college in line with the British education system but without compromising its Islamic values.

The candidate is essentially required to pass in each subject of the qualifying subject group. A candidate possessing three year Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central/State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B.Arch. only, provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch, papers (paper 2 & 6) as mentioned above.

3.      For admission to first year of MBA, candidate must have passed three years degree course from any recognized university.

4.      For admission to first year of MCA, candidate must have passed three year degree course from any recognized university with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at bachelor Degree level.

5.      For admission to second year (lateral entry) of BTech, the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in Engineering course: securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate or three years B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as one subject; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate as per details provided in the brochure.

6.      For admission to second year (lateral entry) of BPharm. the candidate must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

7.      The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in State Entrance Examination-2016 subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.

Admission

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Scores of CAT will be considered valid for admission to the session of 2016. Alternatively, the candidates could appear in GMAT or the test conducted by IMI for the programme. The recently qualified JRF/SRF candidates can also apply in the relevant areas of specialization but they would need to appear in the test conducted by IMI. Please note that all Indian candidates who do not have a CAT score will have to appear for either GMAT or IMI internal test (which will be held only at IMI, Delhi). 3.     The CET comprises multiple-choice objective type questions in the areas of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical, Abstract Reasoning. In all, there would be 200 questions to be answered in a total time of two and half hours (i.e. One hundred and fifty minutes)

5.     Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid at any Axis Bank Branches in cash through e-Challan as per schedule during the working hours of the respective Branches.
