Eligibility:

Minimum Qualifications for Admission

A.    The minimum qualification required for admission to a PhD Programme is a Master's Degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. Relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% maybe allowed to SC/ST/OBC/differently abled candidates.

B.    An Equivalence Committee will be constituted by the President of GDGU to consider applications other than covered under section (a) who may propose other qualifications/requirements in specific areas, consistent with the norms of the statutory bodies, to the University Research & Innovation Council (URIC) for its recommendation to the Academic Council for approval.

C.    If considered necessary, DRC may propose other qualifications/requirements in specific areas, consistent with the norms of the statutory bodies, to the URIC for its recommendation to the Academic Council for approval.

A.    It is desirable that the applicants, who possess minimum prescribed qualifications for admission to PhD Programme, should have excellent academic/professional track record in the relevant discipline.

B.    The applicant for part-time PhD should:

I.             prove to the satisfaction of DRC that his official duties permit him to devote sufficient time to research.

II.           ensure that facilities for pursuing research are available at his place of work in the chosen field of research, where required.

The Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior was established by the Ministry of Education & Culture, Government of India as Lakshmibai College of Physical Education (LCPE) in August 1957, the centenary year of the War of Independence and located at Gwalior, where Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, a valiant heroine of the war, had laid down her life during the First Freedom Struggle in 1857.

Jamia Hamdard (JH) was declared as a deemed-to-be University by the Govt. of India in 1989 on the recommendation of University Grants Commission (UGC) under the UGC Act 1956 in recognition of the services provided by erstwhile educational institutes established by the Hamdard National Foundation (HNF). •      Admission to all Under Graduate programs offered by Jamia Hamdard will be made through merit in NEET (UG)/JEE (Main-Paper-I) 2020/ CLAT-2020, wherever applicable, from amongst the applicants who have applied for admission in Jamia Hamdard. In case of other programs, Jamia Hamdard may select the candidates for admission on the basis of marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination or Interview or Entrance Test or any other mode as approved by the competent authority.

•      Jamia Hamdard reserves the right to consider applications from Non-NEET (UG)/ Non-JEE / NonCLAT qualified candidates in case of non availability of suitable rank holders in a particular discipline subject to approval of the Competent Authority.

•      Applications for all programs offered by Jamia Hamdard shall be accepted online through Online Admission Portal 2020. Jamia Hamdard reserves the right to accept applications for some or all programs of study offline, if required, subject to approval of the Competent Authority.
