About College:

The School of Planning and Architecture had a modest beginning in 1941 as a Department of Architecture of Delhi Polytechnic. It was later affiliated to the University of Delhi and integrated with the School of Town and Country Planning which was established in 1955 by the Government of India to provide facilities for rural, urban and regional planning. On integration, the School was renamed as School of Planning and Architecture in 1959. Recognizing the specialized nature of the fields in which the School had attained eminence, in 1979, the Government of India, through the then Ministry of Education and Culture, conferred on the School of Planning and Architecture the status of "Deemed to be a University". With this new status, the School has broadened its horizon by introducing new academic and extension programmes and promoting research and consultancy activities.

·         Building Engineering & Management: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering or Architecture or Architectural Engineering or Building Science or Five Year Diploma in Construction Technology or equivalent from a recognized university/institution established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.

·         Design (Industrial Design): Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture of a recognized university or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Design/Fine Arts of a recognized university or equivalent with valid CEED score (essential for non-architectural candidates) from approved streams.

MARKS: Candidates with at least 55 percent marks in aggregate at the qualifying Examination, 50% aggregate marks in respect of SC/ST/OBC

Fee Structure: Rs. 11,25,000/- (Rupees Eleven lakh Twenty Five Thousand Only) for the entire programme. The fee structure comprises tuition fee, hostel fee* (lodging as well as boarding) professional and incidental expenditure on account of the programme. *Incase no hostel accommodation is available necessary relief in fees is given to such non-resident students. Selection Process:

The admission selection process consists of two stages:

1. Entrance Test:

The applicants are required to appear for the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Institute of Management, Nirma University. However, the candidates who are UGC NET (including JRF)/SLAT/GATE/GPAT/Teacher Fellowship/M.Phil qualified are exempted from the Admission Test. MARKING SCHEME FOR IHM CET WRITTEN TEST

Each correct answer under Numerical Ability & Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning & Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs and English Language components carry one mark. 0.25 marks will be deducted if the answer is incorrect.

Graded mark(s) will be given under Aptitude for Service Sector component in the following way:

·         0.75 marks will be awarded for the next appropriate answer

·         The next to next appropriate answer carries 0.50

·         Incorrect answers carry negative marks of 0.25

Government of Maharashtra has established a State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) under Admission Regulatory Authority (ARA) as per the provision in Section 10 of Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015, (Herein after called the Act).

The admissions to the following institutes will be done by the Competent Authority, provided they are approved and recognized by Government of Maharashtra and are Affiliated to any of the Non-agricultural University in the State of Maharashtra State:

The candidate should be an Indian National along with the following educational qualification.

Educational Qualification:

(a) Candidate should be a graduate in any faculty of any University in Maharashtra established by an act of Parliament or by a State Legislature or an equivalent National Institution recognized as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority competent to declare equivalence, With Minimum 45% of Marks in aggregate (That is 45 % marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together), (candidate belonging to SC and ST Category need only 40% marks and VJNT, SBC and OBC Category with minimum 42% marks in the qualifying examination.)

(b) An applicant who has passed the U.G degree of minimum Three Years and P.G degree of 2/3 Yrs, duration from University mentioned in (a) after processing the studies in the pattern of 10+2+3+2/3 with regular studies at secondary and higher secondary schooling.

Post Graduate diploma will not be considered as Post Graduate Degree.

Provided that, the applicants who have obtained +2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate or First Degree Certificate by distance or correspondence method shall also be considered as eligible for CET of the 3 Years Law Courses. [the applicant who has passed the qualifying examination (10+2, U.G. & P.G.) in a single sitting examination without having basic qualifications of (10+2+3) is not eligible.] +2 is the Basic Qualification for LL.B.-3 Yrs. Course.

Further provided that, NO candidate from the Open University having a degree contrary to the U.G.C. Act and Regulations and contrary to Rules of Legal Education shall be eligible.

Further provided that, the candidates who are appearing/appeared for the qualifying examination UG or PG (regular examination of that Academic Year) are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Applications are invited from bonafide Indian citizens, residing in India for award of "DBT-Junior Research Fellowship" (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology and Life Sciences. The candidates will be selected through "Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET)". Based on performance in BET, two categories of merit list will be prepared (Category-I and Category-II). Government of India norms for reservation will be followed for selection. Candidates selected under category-I will be eligible to avail fellowship under the programme. These will be tenable in any University/Institute in India where the selected candidate registers for Ph.D. programme. Candidates selected under Category-II will be eligible to be appointed in any DBT sponsored project and avail fellowship from the project equivalent to NET/GATE, subject to selection through institutional selection process. There will be no binding on Principal Investigators of DBT sponsored projects to select JRF for their project from category-II list. Selection in category-II will not entitle student for any fellowship from DBT-JRF programme.
