Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur (formerly known as Indian Institute of Health Management Research), was founded in 1984. In the three decades, the Institute has created a niche in high quality research, education and training in Health Management and Hospital Management. Course Name:

Ph.D in Hospital, Health, Pharmaceutical Management Development Studies and related areas

Eligibility:

Candidates for admission to the Ph D. programme shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s or MPhil degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (noncreamy layer)/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per UGC Guidelines from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark.

Admission Process

The admission process will include three steps: screening of applications, IIHMR Research Aptitude Test (IRAT) and personal interview.

IIHMR Research Aptitude Test (IRAT)

The IIHMR University will conduct a qualifying test after screening of applications and short-listing candidates. IRAT will be a written test consisting of multiple choice questions from English language proficiency, reasoning, basic quantitative analysis and research aptitude. Admission to the Research Degree program shall be subject to the fulfilment of the minimum cut-off marks as prescribed from time to time by UGC. Final selection for admission shall be made on the basis of the merit of the composite score.

Exemption from IRAT: The following categories will be exempted from the written IRAT: UGC CSIR qualified JRF & NET, SLET, GATE and Teacher Research Fellowship holder and have passed M Phil programme in relevant subjects.

Personal Interview

Personal interview will be conducted on the day of IRAT or next day after IRAT at the IIHMR University, Jaipur. All categories of candidates will be required to appear in the Personal Interview. at the time of interview the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation.

Admission Process:

Stage 1: Initial Screening and Shortlisting

Only those candidates are screened: (a) Who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the Fellow Program; (b) Who have applied to the Fellow Program and paid the prescribed registration fee; (c) Who have submitted the Research Proposal; (d) Further, shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the evaluation of Research Proposal.

Stage 2: Selection Process for Shortlisted Candidates

a.    NITIE Admission Test and Writing Skills Test: The admission test shall have three sections namely Analytical Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Research Aptitude. For writing skills, applicant will be asked to write summary (150-200 words) of Research/General article.

b.    Research Presentation and Personal Interview: Research Presentation will be based on the research proposal submitted by the applicants. This would be followed by a Personal Interview which will be based on subject knowledge, motivation for doing research, communication skills and overall assessment.

Stage 3: Final Merit List

Final merit list shall be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in the different evaluation components such as admission test, writing skills test, past academic achievements, research presentation and personal interview.

The Central University of Jharkhand was established through the Central University Act, 2009. The University started with a vision to specially focus on relevant present age educational drives with an emphasis on research in cutting edge technologies. It offers 5-year integrated (UG/PG), Post graduate and Ph.D. programmes in almost all its Schools/ Centres of studies. The present campus of the University is located at Brambe, a 25 km drive from Ranchi city, in the State of Jharkhand, India. The classroom complex is located inside a mango orchard and the hostels are surrounded by tall Sal trees. In order to preserve the trees, one can find some tree inside the rooms and growing through the roofs. The State Government of Jharkhand allotted a 510-acre land to the University for its Permanent Campus at Cheri-Manatu, about 10 km off main city, construction work has started with a plan to create a campus worth visiting and staying in. The campus is planned to be matchless in its own right by offering an eco-friendly environment for academic pursuit among green architecture and designs, which would beckon scholars to its fold.

If selected, candidates will be allowed to join the program provisionally, only if he/ she submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of her/his College/Institute mentioning that the particular candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date when the certificate was issued.

Admission Procedure:

CAT scores, along with other* criteria, will be used for shortlisting candidates for the above programmes. So a candidate has to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs. (IIMs have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme).

Graduates with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a University recognized by Association of Indian Universities / AICTE. SELECTION

The selection to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme is purely based on the cumulative performance in CAT/MAT/ XAT/CMAT/ATMA score followed by group discussion and personal interview.

The group discussion and personal interview are integral components of the admission selection process. The objective is to identify and assess interpersonal skills in addition to the overall knowledge of the student. Due weightage are given to common entrance test score, past academic achievements and work experience respectively.

The National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) at Hyderabad, in 1976, to address issues related to agricultural research and education management. ·         The candidate must have minimum 3 year’s Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) and completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30th June, 2019 can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October, 2019; otherwise they may be asked to withdraw from the programme.

Eligibility for PGPIM:

·         For PGP-IM, on successful completion of the programme requirements, student will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGP-IM) from MDI Gurgaon and MIM (Masters in Management) from ESCP Europe.

·         Candidates must have 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both X and XII along with Masters or Bachelors (4 years minimum) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India and a minimum of 1 year (one-year) of work experience post-qualification (4-year's Bachelor's degree) on the last date of application.

The basis for computing the percentage obtained by the candidate would be based on the practice followed by the university/ institution/board from where the candidate has obtained the degree/certificate. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/ institution/board from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree/certificate. In case the university/ institution /board does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by MDI by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying fraction so obtained by 100.
