A Candidate seeking admission to course of study leading to award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of following qualifications of a recognized University/Institute:

1 (a) Medical Sciences

MBBS /BDS degree or equivalent with minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent percentile in Professional examinations. MD/MS/MDS/MCH in subject concerned or Diplomat of National Board of Examinations with minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent percentile.

1.    (b) Bachelor degree in Alternative Medicine (AYUSH) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Professional examinations.

(c) Nursing Qualification: Candidates holding MSc degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent percentile in Nursing specialty will also be eligible for PhD admission in College of Nursing.

2.    Non-Medical

For non-medical Candidate eligibility shall be Master degree (02-year course) awarded by Indian University or equivalent in subject as per requirement of project. Candidates holding MSc (Other than MSc Nursing), M Biotech/ M Tech degree / M Com / MBA or equivalent will be eligible for non-medical qualification category. Candidates possessing Masters Degree through distant learning course shall not be eligible. Candidates having eligibility under non-medical category should have at least 55% marks or equivalent in last eligibility examination qualified.

The Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrit Sahitya Sammelan established a Sanskrit Vidyapeetha at Delhi on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashmi on the 8th of October 1962 and appointed Dr.Mandan Mishra as the officer on-Special-Duty and the Director of the Vidyapeetha. Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha was the visionary who conceptulised the Indian Nuclear Programme and along with a handful of Scientists initiated the nuclear science research in India in March, 1944. He envisaged the vast potential of nuclear energy and its possible successful utilization in the field of power generation and allied areas. Eligibility:

The eligibility for admission to the DipRP course is M.Sc. (Physics) with not less than 60% marks in aggregate through full time programme. In addition, the candidate should posses the B.Sc. (physics as a main subject) Degree with not less than 60% marks in aggregate. In case of grade system, grade to percentage of marks conversion scheme obtained from the University should be submitted along with the application failing which application will not be considered. The sponsored candidates should have at least one-year working experience in a Radiotherapy Department of Government Institution in India. The working experience will be counted from the date of enrolment in personal monitoring services. A certificate/declaration in this matter should be furnished at the time of interview. The sponsored candidate should also submit a documentary evidence of availing personal monitoring service from BARC/accredited laboratories. 

Those who await the final results of M.Sc. (Physics) Degree may also apply. However, such candidates should necessarily attach copies of the mark sheets of B.Sc. Degree and a copy of M.Sc. first year mark sheet(s) along with the application. If appearing candidates are selected for admission to DipRP course, they should submit their M. Sc. Degree and mark  sheet by October 30, 2019 failing which their candidature may be terminated. In case the appearing candidates admitted to the course do not secure 60% marks in aggregate in the M.Sc. (Physics) examination, their candidature will be terminated. 

Age limit

The upper age limit as on August 01, 2019:

a) General Category - 26 years

b) OBC - 29 years

c) SC/ST - 31 years

d) Dependents of those who died in the riots of 1984 (Dep1984) – 31 years

e) Persons domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu and Kashmir State from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 (Dom Kashmir) – 31 years.

f) Physically challenged candidates – Age relaxation by up to 10 years.

The candidates with physical disabilities limited to the lower extremities, but permitting to stand, move and physically able to carry out the course work will only be considered.

g) For the sponsored candidates of all categories the upper age limit as on August 01, 2019 is 40 years.

Selection procedure

Selection of non-sponsored candidates is based on written test followed by an interview. Please note that CET is meant for screening the candidates and the final selection to the course is solely based on performance in the interview.

Stipend

On admission to the course, each non-sponsored candidate is eligible to receive a stipend of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) per month for a period of one year. The sponsored candidates are not eligible for the stipend.

Admission fee

The candidates should pay an admission fee of Rs.6000/- (Rupees Six thousand only) at the time of admission. The fee should be paid in the form of a crossed Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, HBNI, payable at Mumbai.

Application fee and Mode of Payment

Interested candidates should submit their online applications with a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) through online payment only. The SC/ST applicants, Dependents of Defense Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), women candidates and physically challenged candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. 

Payment Procedure:

1.    The Application number generated after the submission of the online application is required to make the online payment of the application fee and hence submission of application is mandatory before the online payment of application fees. However, fee NOT paid will be treated as incomplete application and hence will be rejected.

2.    For payment of fee, candidates should click on the ‘Make Payment’ option under the ‘My Account’ menu. The Application number generated while submission of application can be selected from the Drop-down box and on clicking the ‘submit’ button candidates can go to the next pages for making the online payment.

4.    Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances and cannot be held in reserve for any other recruitment.

The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) took birth as National Tissue Culture Facility in March 11, 1986 with a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Pune campus, Pune. Eligibility for NCCS Ph.D Programme and Instructions:-

1.    Should have Masters (postgraduate) degree in any branch of Sciences with interest in pursuing research in Modern Biology, having at least 55% or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) (A relaxation of 5% of marks, shall be allowed for Reserved Categories SC/ST/OBC and Persons With Disabilities) and with a valid fellowship from CSIR/DBT/ICMR/UGC/DST-Inspire qualified in NET-LS or GATE examination/ BINC, etc.

2.    Students with post graduate degree, who do not have individual fellowship but have qualified JGEEBILS exam conducted by NCBS/TIFR on 09th December, 2018 will be eligible to apply. Students will be shortlisted based on JGEEBILS results by NCCS criteria for interview. NCCS decision in this regard will be final. Please write your JGEEBILS December. 2018 Reference Code on the top of the application form at the designated place.

3.    Candidates who have qualified only for Lectureship in CSIR-UGC (NET) and the "Project List of ICMR" are not eligible.

4.    NCCS's Ph.D. program is a fully residential program. The selected candidates will have to stay on campus.

5.    Students who have a fellowship and are expected to be awarded M. Sc, Degree by the end of the July-2019 are also eligible to apply. Their selection will be provisional and will be cancelled if they are unable to provide proof of fulfilling eligibility criteria by end of November, 2019. No further request for time extension will be entertained.

Nalanda had been an ancient seat of learning and a religious centre that imparted manifold knowledge. It existed in ancient Magadha (presently, Bihar and parts of Bengal, Orisha in India) between the fifth century AD to twelve century AD. It was believed that the term ‘Nalanda’ might have been originated from the word nalam (lotus), or da nalanda, signifying “giver of knowledge”. The ancient Mahavihara at Nalanda was established during the reign of a king called Śakrāditya, of the Gupta Dynasty. Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). A relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging SC/ST/OBC.

PATTERN OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

The Entrance Examination will comprise of an objective type test of 100 questions with two parts:

·         Part-I Research methodology: 50 marks

·         Part-II Subject Related: 50 marks.

The questions will be of multiple choice type (four options with single correct answer) to be answered on the specially designed Answer sheet using Black ink Ball Point Pen only. Each correct answer shall be awarded ONE mark.

Note: There is no penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answer marked by the candidate.

The duration of the examination would be 120 minutes (2 hours)

Candidates in General category securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2019 are eligible to apply. SCB Channel

·         Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2019.

·         However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board.

·         Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country.

·         IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019 will be conducted in a fully computer-based test mode.

·         In order to apply for IISER Admissions 2019, a candidate has to first do online registration using the Registration link given on the website.

·         After successful registration, you will receive login id  on your registered mobile number along with the password
