About College:

The Christian Medical College, Vellore has its grounding in research from the work started by Dr. Ida Sophia Scudder, its founder. Over the past century, CMC has contributed significantly not only to the provision of health care to the poor and needy but also in generating and advancing knowledge to improve the provision of curative and preventive services to the people we serve directly and to the nation.

Research is an integral part of the vision and the mission of CMC. Research at the institution has been oriented to areas of need and emphasizes application of knowledge to relevant problems. The inculcation of an attitude of inquiry, acquisition of knowledge of the mechanisms of research and the conduct of research, at various levels of involvement in health care, are encouraged in faculty and students.

Research is the key to excellence in academic medicine, but the conduct of research is frequently misunderstood as requiring both skills and resources not available to the practicing clinician. Defining research as a systemic investigation in order to contribute to generalizable knowledge makes it clear that research can be conducted in any environment and with minimal resources. Some forms of research, particularly in the basic and applied sciences, do require significant investments and we have been fortunate at CMC to obtain substantial grant funding to be able to support research in a wide range of some basic and substantial clinical and translational medicine.

Economic analyses have shown that the benefits of research are far in excess of investments. These analyses are based on the benefits to society in terms of human health and longevity, and do not consider the long term inquiry driven attitudinal changes that we seek to inculcate in our faculty and trainees. Nonetheless, it is heartening that in addition to treating our patients individually or promoting community health, our research is key to fulfillment of our motto ‘not to be ministered unto, but to minister’ on the widest and longest lasting scale.

Candidates who have qualified for the M.B.B.S Degree of the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and the Indian Medical Council and have completed their compulsory rotating resident internship and obtained full registration before 15/05/2018 are eligible to apply for the postgraduate diploma and degree courses. 

Candidates who are in the 2nd year of their training for a postgraduate diploma course may also apply for the postgraduate degree (MS/MD) course in the same subject. Post Diploma candidates with a diploma in the same subject need to undergo 2 years of training for the degree 

Note: Those who have completed DCP will not have this benefit for MD Pathology / MD Transfusion Medicine. Candidates currently pursuing a postgraduate training program and who complete the same by the 15th May 2018 only will be eligible to apply.

Application forms can be accessed only online through the Christian Medical College, Vellore website http://www.admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 25/11/2017. Duly filled application forms must be submitted online with a basic administrative fee of Rs.750/- and a registration fee of Rs. 600 per each course before the dates stated in the Admission Time table. 

All the supporting documents should reach the Office of Registrar, CMC,

Vllore -2 by post on or before the date mentioned 

Applicants employed in Government or similar establishments who need to route their applications through “proper channels” for the purpose of sponsorship/ permission/ leave, etc., are advised to submit an application as detailed above for the desired course, complete with all the required enclosures directly to the Office of the Registrar before 25th January 2018 

Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send a Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries, US dollars 100 or its equivalent as administrative fee in addition to the registration fee per course 

Fee can be remitted by using any one of the following methods:

Admission Process 

B-CAT 2018 is meant for MCA 3 years full time and MCA 2 years Full Time (Second Year Lateral Entry), B-CAT examination of BVDU is compulsory for all which is schedule on 25th March 2018 

The admissions are strictly done on basis of merit and seats available at center. 

Subject to the above conditions, the final admission is based solely on the merit at the all India entrance test (B-CAT) conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune (India).

Candidates who are presently studying in the final year of Bachelor's degree course can also appear for the entrance test and seek admission for MCA Programin the year 2018-19. However, they are eligible for admission only if- 
The Exam of all semesters/years (regular as well as backlog) will be completed by 30th June 2017

IIST is Asia’s first Space Institute and the first in the world to offer the complete range of undergraduate, post graduate, doctoral programmes with specific focus to space science, technology and applications.

This unique concept took root in January 2007, when IIST was registered as a Society under the Travancore -Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. FLAME (Foundation for Liberal And Management Education) was founded in 2004, by Mr. Nemish Shah (Founder Director, FLAME; Philanthropist; Financial Advisor and Founder, ENAM Financial Consultants Pvt. Ltd.)  and Mr. Parag Shah (Founder Chairman, FLAME; Entrepreneur of series of enterprises) with a desire to give something back to society. The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) was established in 1964 for the study of issues and policies relating to public enterprises (PEs).  Shri.S.S Khera, ICS, the then Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, had conceived the idea of a research institution that would undertake a systematic and sustained study of issues relevant to the formulation of policies towards public enterprises. In the early sixties, when PEs were designed as the principal instrument to serve the social and economic objectives of development, Shri. Khera felt that there was need for an institute which would collect relevant information and documents on PEs, study specific issues and undertake consultancy and training exclusively for PEs. Dr.V.V. Ramanadham, the then Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce, Osmania University, translated Shri Khera’s concept into a reality that is IPE, with the active support and guidance provided by the late Dr. D. S Reddy, then Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University as an autonomous, non-profit society at the initiative of the then Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India, Shri S.S.Khera, ICS, and late Dr.D.S.Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University. The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, recognized the Institute as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in social science research in 1976.  The Institute is partly funded by the ICSSR and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The Institute is located in a picturesque greenwood area at Hyderabad in Osmania University Campus. Over the last 40 years, the Institute has widened the area of its work. Starting with research, the Institute soon found itself having to undertake consultancy for PEs and responding to the training needs of the executives of PEs and various educational programmes. 

The Institute became a pioneer in the field of computerization, assisting the Government of Andhra Pradesh and several other states in formulation of computerization policy, developing software for PEs and public systems, and on the use of computers as a decision support system.

The educational programmes of the Institute have their basic foundation in the various research, training and consultancy activities undertaken by the Institute for public and private organizations/industries over the last four decades. The programmes are the natural extension of the educational activities of the Institute from the short term management education to the long-term one and have lead to vertical integration of the research function. The insights into management education began in 1981 with the commencement of a 3-year part time MBA (PE) programme for practicing managers. In the year 1995, the Institute started a two-year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM), recognized as equivalent to MBA by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), to provide skilled human resources to meet the requirements of the Industry. Consolidating on the experience and to meet the needs of the industry, the Institute commenced  two-year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Retail and Marketing (PGDM-RM) in 2007, Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Banking, Insurance and Financial Services(PGDM-BIF) in 2008, Post Gradue Diploma in Management - International Business (PGDM-IB) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Bio-Technology (PGDM-BT) in 2009.
