NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY (NTA) had successfully conducted the GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST - 2019 (GPAT-2019) for admission to various M. Pharma or its equivalent courses across the country. The 800 participating institutes of GPAT-2019 were the institutions which had accepted the GPAT Score.

The GPAT 2020 will be conduct by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the same pattern as per the Year 2019 i.e., Computer Based Test on January 28, 2020 from 02.30 p.m. to 05.30 p.m. for admission to M. pharma or its equivalent courses across the country. The result of GPAT-2020 will be declared by February 7, 2020 as GPAT Score which will be accepted by over 800 participating Institutes. The participating Institutes of GPAT-2020 are the Institutions which will be accepting the GPAT Score. Candidates must apply separately to the desired GPAT-2020 participating institutes with the GPAT Score 2020. Then, each participating institute will release their respective cut – off GPAT Score which candidates should meet to get qualified for admission to that particular institute. Candidates are advised to see the details of the admission process of each participating institute of GPAT-2020 on their respective website.

Eligibility GPAT - 2020:

The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree B. Pharmacy (10+2+4) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2020-21 can also apply for GPAT - 2020 computer-based test (CBT). B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are not eligible to apply. The candidate must be a citizen of India. There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT - 2020.

TEST PATTERN

The medium of Question Paper shall be in English only. GPAT is an online computer-based test of 3 hours duration with 125 objective type questions.

Important Note:

i)             Each question carries 04 (four) marks.

ii)            For each correct response candidate will get 04 (four) marks.

iii)           For each incorrect response 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.

iv)           To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct option.

v)            However, after the process of challenges of the key, if more than one option is found to be correct then the multiple correct options will be given the four marks (+4).

Any incorrect option marked will be given the minus one mark (-1). Un-answered/Un-attempted will be given no marks. In case, a question is dropped/ignored, all candidates will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

At the test Centre, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with rough papers for calculations and a PEN. After the test, candidate must leave the rough papers at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the examination room/hall.

How to Apply:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Candidates have to apply for GPAT- 2020 “Online” ONLY by accessing the website www.ntagpat.nic.in. The Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted, in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected

It is suggested that you have the following ready before starting the filling of the application form:

      A computer with good Internet connectivity

      All your qualification details

      Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb)

      Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)

      A valid e-mail Id as all communication will be made on this e-mail Id

      A valid mobile number as all information via SMS will be sent to this number

      A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account for online payment

      A printer connected to your system to print confirmation page

Ø  Download information Bulletin. Read it carefully to ensure your eligibility and acquaint with the requirements for submission of Online Application Form.  

Ø  No corrections can be made at a later stage after submission of an application. No change will be accepted through offline mode i.e. through fax/application including e-mail etc.

Ø  Follow following 5 (Five) Steps to Apply Online:

Step-1: Fill in the online Application Form and Note down the system generated Application Number

Step-2: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Passport size Photograph (between 10 kb– 200 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (between 4kb – 30 kb) in JPG/JPEG format.

Step-3: Make payment of fee using Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, PayTM and keep proof of fee paid.

Step-4: Print at least four printout of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee

Step-5: Choose the city for giving the examination GPAT-2020

Ø  All the 5 Steps can be done together or separately also

Note:

(i) The final submission of online Application form will remain incomplete if Step - 2 Step - 3, Step - 4 and Step - 5 are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.

(ii) No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained

(iii) The entire application process of GPAT - 2020 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation page to NTA through Post/Fax/ By Hand/E-mail.

(iv) Candidates are advised to keep visiting the NTA’s website regularly for latest updates and to check their e-mails.

(v) The NTA can make use of the data generated for the purpose of research and analysis.

All the candidates who have submitted the online application and paid the examination fee till last date will be allowed to appear in GPAT - 2020 and their admit cards will be uploaded on the website as per schedule. The NTA do neither verify the information filled by the candidates in the application form nor verify any certificate of category/educational qualification for deciding the eligibility of candidates. The certificates of educational qualification and category (if applied under reserved category) will be verified by the concerned institution. The candidates are, therefore, advised to ensure their eligibility and the category (if applying under reserved category). The NTA will, in no way, be responsible for any wrong/incorrect information furnished by the candidate(s) in their online application form. The letter/e-mails in this regard will not be entertained by the NTA.

NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY (NTA) had successfully conducted the Computer Based Common Management Admission Test - 2019 (CMAT-2019) for admission to various management programs across the country. The participating institutes of CMAT-2019 were the institutions which had accepted the CMAT Score.

The CMAT 2020 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the same pattern as per the Year 2019 i.e., Computer Based Test on January 28, 2020 from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm for admission to various management programs across the country. The result of CMAT-2020 will be declared by February 7th, 2020 as CMAT Score which will be accepted by over 1000 participating Institutes. The participating Institutes of CMAT-2020 are the Institutions which will be accepting the CMAT Score. Candidates must apply separately to the desired CMAT-2020 participating institutes with the CMAT Score 2020. Then, each participating institute will release their respective cut – off CMAT Score which candidates should meet to get qualified for admission to that particular institute. Once qualified, the candidates will have to appear for selection procedure of that particular institute which may comprise of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection of the candidates will be on the basis of the candidate’s performance based on above. Candidates are advised to see the details of the admission process of each participating institute of CMAT-2020 on their respective website.

Eligibility CMAT- 2020:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2020-21 can also apply for CMAT-2020 computer based test (CBT).

·         The candidate must be a citizen of India.

·         There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT-2020.

Important Note:

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R&D organization of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT) for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics and associated areas.  Different areas of C-DAC, had originated at different times, many of which came out as a result of identification of opportunities. Application Process

·         The process of admission to C-DAC's PG Diploma courses begins with registration of prospective candidates on the C-DAC website www.cdac.in or acts.cdac.in

·         Admissions to all PG Diploma courses of C-DAC are done through C-DAC's computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT). Every year, C-CAT is usually conducted in June (for August admissions) and December (for February admissions).

·         Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully while filling the online registration and application forms. Upon registering, candidates will get their Form Number that can be used to log in and fill the C-CAT application form online.

The Osmania University, established in 1918, is the seventh oldest in the country, third oldest in South India and the first to be established in the princely State of Hyderabad.  Though the need for a university for the Hyderabad State was felt, both by the intelligentsia and the people for a long time, the initiative came from a civil servant, Sir Akbar Hydari, who was then the Home Secretary to the State Government.  Sir Akbar, in a Memorandum to the Education Minister in early 1917, emphasized the need to establish a University for Hyderabad with ‘Urdu’ as the medium of instruction “as it is the language of the widest currency in India, official language of the State, and it is a language which is understood by a vast majority of the population of the State.”  He believed that higher education must have its foundations deep in the national consciousness.

IMPORTANT NOTE

1.    Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided:

(a) That they produce a proof of having acquired the minimum prescribed qualifications at the time of counselling/ admission.

(b) If the 12th class/final year/final semester (as the case may be) result of qualifying degree/certificate examination is not declared by the concerned Board/ University till the date of counselling/ admission, his/her admission in such case will be strictly provisional subject to the following conditions:

(i) Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- in the prescribed Proforma (Annexure–I) is submitted. In case the candidate is minor i.e. below 18 years of age, the affidavit shall be signed by his/ her parent/guardian. Candidates/parent/guardians may note that submission of false affidavit is a punishable offence; (ii) Those candidates who are seeking provisional admission due to non declaration of their final year/final semester/12th class (refer Annexure -I) will provide proof of having passed all papers in all the previous years /semesters of qualifying degree examination (whichever relevant).

(iii) The candidates will also bring the date sheet /admit card/ Principal’s certificate as proof of having appeared in the qualifying exam.

(iv) The candidate will submit the final result of qualifying degree/certificate providing his/her eligibility on or before 30th September, 2020 to their Campus Director/Jt. Director where the admission has been granted.

(v) In case the candidate fails to submit his/her final result of qualifying degree in the manner prescribed above to prove his/her eligibility on or before 30th September, 2020, whatsoever the reason may be his/her admission will be treated as null and void (cancelled) and entire fee will be forfeited. Any exception will be as per the decision of DG-NIFT, on a case to case basis.

(vi) The Campus Director / Nodal officer will be responsible to ensure that the eligibility of all students meet prescribed qualification for admission especially in the case of provisional admission. The provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled, if the candidate fails to submit the successful result in time i.e. 30th September, 2020.

(vii) In the case of candidates who have appeared for Supplementary examination(s) in the final semester/ final year of graduation and the result of the same is not declared by the time of counselling/ admission, such candidates will be considered for admission as per the provisions of para 1 (b) above, for the academic session 2020-21.

(viii) In the case of candidates who have appeared for compartment examination(s) in the 12th standard, such candidates will be considered only for provisional admission. He/she will have to clear the compartment examination UNDER THE SAME BOARD, failing which the provisional admission will stand automatically cancelled and entire fee will be forfeited.

2.    Any candidate who has not appeared for the qualifying exam before the date of counselling/ admission to NIFT, will not be eligible.

3.    It is further clarified that provisional admission will be considered only in such cases where the result of Final year/semester of the qualifying degree has not been declared by the concerned Board/ University in its totality. In case the result has been declared by the concerned Board/ University but it has not been declared in a specific case, for any reason, such cases will NOT be considered under provisional admission category.

THE EXAMINATION PROCESS (for all programmes)

All eligible candidates would have to go through an examination process. The process for each programme is separately listed below:

      B.Des: For candidates to the UG Design programmes, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by a Situation Test to be undertaken by shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

      B.FTech: For candidates to the UG Fashion Technology programme, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT).

      M.Des: For candidates to the PG Design programme, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

      M.F.M.: For the M.F.M programme, the selection process comprises of Written test comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

      M.FTech: For the M.F.Tech programme, the selection process comprises of Written test comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) for shortlisted candidates of the written examination.

Eligible students are required to appear for the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS). Shortlisted students based on their performance in the JGEEBILS, shall be invited for interview for their final selection to the PhD (Integrated) Degree Program. The interview is to assess the student for his/ her science aptitude and interest in a career in scientific research and development. Up to 20 students, who meet the desired criteria for selection, may be admitted. There shall be reservation of seats as per the orders of the Govt. of India in this regard.

Foreign Students

Students with 60% aggregate marks (or an equivalent grade point average) in Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science, Engineering, or Medicine are eligible to apply for admission. Studentsin the final year of their qualifying degree program are also eligible to apply provided they produce a proof of having secured the required marks in their undergraduate degree program at the time of admission to the PhD (Integrated) Degree Program. Eligible students are required to apply online for admission and fellowship to the program. Shortlisted students shall be invited to appear for a Skype-based interview for their selection to the PhD (Integrated) Degree Program. The interview is to assess the student for his/ her science aptitude and interest in a career in scientific research and development. Up to 5 students, who meet the desired criteria for selection, may be admitted. Admission of foreign students is subjected to getting student visa from the Govt. of India for the duration of the program.

FELLOWSHIPS

The Indian and Foreign students admitted to the program shall receive the RCBRamachandran-DBT fellowship Rs. 16000 per month for the first 2 years of the program, after which the Indian students shall be required to qualify for the junior/senior research fellowships offered by CSIR, ICMR, DBT, or other such funding agencies. The performance of the foreign students, after completion of their MSc component of the program, shall be evaluated by the Student Advisory Committee and based on its positive recommendation the student shall be awarded the RCB-DBT International Doctoral fellowship equivalent to the fellowships offered to Indian studentsfrom different funding agencies as per the relevant DST guidelines. Currently, the amount of the Junior Research Fellowship is Rs. 31000 per month and it is Rs. 35000 per month for the Senior Research Fellowship.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAM

The duration of the PhD (Integrated) Degree Program is a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 7 years.
