Post Graduate Program in Management for Working Executives (PGPMWE)

Eligibility:

The minimum requirement for the Program is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum aggregate marks of 50% in any discipline and minimum of three-year post-qualification work experience as on April 1st of the year in which program is commencing.

ADMISSION PROCESS

IIM Raipur shall conduct entrance examination along the lines of CAT Examination. The exam will be conducted on January 19, 2020 at IIM Raipur Campus at Atal Nagar (Naya Raipur). The test would aim to gauge the Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Please note that candidates must submit a No-Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of admission.

About College:

The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, (DIAT) as it is known today, came into being as the Institute of Armament Studies in 1952 in the CME campus. In 1967, the Institute was renamed as "Institute of Armament Technology, (IAT)", which moved to its present location at Girinagar, Pune. From the relatively narrow scope of Armament Studies alone in the Fifties, the role of the Institute was considerably enlarged by the Defence R&D Council in 1964 and further in 1981. On the basis of accreditation by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Pune University recognised eight courses for the award of ME degree in 1980. In the year 2000, the Institute acquired the status of a Deemed University. IAT has been renamed as DIAT w.e.f. 1st April 2006.

Eligibility:

a)   Qualification

A candidate, seeking admission to the Ph.D. program, shall be required to have passed the qualifying examination securing at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA. A relaxation of 5 % of marks may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy-layer) / PWD - (Divyang) categories. The qualifying degrees are:-

a) Master of Engineering/Master of Technology (or equivalent) for Ph.D. in Engineering/Science.

b) Master in Science (M.Sc. or equivalent) for Ph.D. in Science

A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination with the requisite percentage of marks as prescribed above and who fulfill the following requirement may be considered for admission to the Ph.D. programme:-

a) Qualified in a national level test such as, CSIR/UGC NET , Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), Rajiv Gandhi National fellowship, subject wise and category wise GATE/NET cut off will be decided by DIAT.

b)   Age limit

Not above 30 years as on 10th Dec 2019.

Relaxations as per GOI rules apply to SC / ST / OBC / PH applicants.

Note:-

·         The Institute shall implement the reservation policy in Ph.D. admission in accordance with relevant act of Parliament being in-force from the time.

·         A physically Handicapped SC/ST/OBC candidate shall not get double benefit of being an SC/ST/OBC as also a PWD candidate.

Selection: Admission to Ph.D. will be based on the performance in the entrance exam (written test) conducted by the department concerned followed by a personal interview.

Financial Assistance:

a)    The selected Ph.D. candidates against this admission notice, admitted as full-time Ph.D. students will be provided financial assistance as per Institute rules, in force from time to time. The Ph.D. students (who are provided Institute fellowship) will be required to assist in research and teaching activities for a maximum of 10 hours per week in addition to their own duties.

b)    In addition to the Ph.D. scholarship, such candidates would also be entitled for contingency grant (presently `15,000/- per year) in accordance with the decisions of the Institute.

Boarding / Lodging:

Selected candidates will be provided hostel accommodation (Exclusive Girls Hostel available). Mess facilities are available on payment basis. The present monthly charges towards boarding and lodging are ` 7000/- (subject to revision). However, ` 40,000/- is to be deposited at the beginning of each Semester towards lodging and boarding charges, in advance. A security deposit of ` 10,000/- would need to be paid to Hostel Office.

General Information:

·         Since the applications may be short listed, mere possessing of the prescribed qualifications would not entitle a person to be called for test/interview. The Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi is a Government of India institution and only of its nature in eastern India. The British established this hospital on 17th May 1918 with the name of Ranchi European Lunatic Asylum. It had then a capacity of 174 patients (92 male and 82 female). The questions will be of multiple choice type (four options with single correct answer) to be answered on the specially designed Answer sheet using Black ink Ball Point Pen only. Each correct answer shall be awarded ONE mark.

Note: There is no penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answer marked by the candidate.

The duration of the examination would be 120 minutes (2 hours)

Application not complying with these instructions or without clear photograph is liable to be rejected. (a) Signature: It should be clear and in running handwriting, preferably with a black sketch pen. Writing full name in capital letters, will not be accepted as signature and application form would be liable for rejection. ·         Please note down your Registration Number, (which would be generated online) for any future communications.

·         An applicant may choose to save the application and continue later by using the link Save and Continue Later given at the bottom of the Application form. The Applicant has to specify his/her email id, where the form’s link will be sent and the applicant later on by clicking on the link may continue to complete the earlier saved form. The link will remain active till the last date of online application submission.

Announcement of Online Common Entrance Test for Admissions to the August 2020 Batch of MBA Programmes

Admission to the MBA Programmes of the IMU for the Academic Year 2020-21, starting on Monday, 03rdAugust 2020, will be through all-India Online Common Entrance Tests (CET) which will be conducted on Saturday, 04th Jan 2020 between 11 am and 2 pm.

Candidates will be required to qualify this CET in order to be eligible for admissions to these Programmes.

This CET will be held for the following Programmes only:

·         MBA (International Transportation and Logistics Management) 2-Year [Campus: Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Cochin]

·         MBA (Port and Shipping Management) 2-Year  [Campus: Chennai, Cochin]

N.B - The results of the CETs are valid for that particular Academic session only.

Registration Fee is Rs.1000 for General/OBC-NCL candidates and Rs.700 for SC/ST Candidates.

The Syllabus for this CET will be as follows:

i.              No. of Questions – 120 multiple choice questions.

ii.             Syllabus - Quantitative ability, Data interpretation, Verbal ability and Logical reasoning.

There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. IMU reserves the right to change the distribution, types, level of difficulty, etc. of the questions asked from time to time.

·         The Computer-based CET is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 04th Jan 2020 between 11 am and 2 pm in a single shift, simultaneously in the following 12 cities across India:

The Applicants can give 3 preferences for the cities where they wish to take the CET while registering online. While every effort will be made to accommodate an Applicant within 3 preferred cities, IMU reserves the right to divert Applicants to the nearest cities if sufficient number of candidates are not forthcoming in certain cities or if there are too many candidates for a particular city.

Eligibility for IMU CET 2020:

MBA (International Transportation Logistics Management) Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam:

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from Recognized Universities. A minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th or UG Degree.

Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however it will not apply to English marks.

How to Apply IMU CET 2020:

Online Registration of Applicants with facility to upload photograph, scanned signature, scanned copy of the 10^th Std. Mark sheet as proof of Date of Birth, scanned copy of 12th Std./ Degree Certificate (wherever applicable), scanned copy of the SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/General-EWS certificate (wherever applicable) and other relevant certificates (wherever applicable). The candidates will be able to make payment for the Registration Fees Online, and download and print the filled in application in standard formats. For Online Registration, applicants should visit the website of the Indian Maritime University and click on the MBA-CET January 2020 hyperlink.

Very Important Note:

·         As majority of the Candidates applying for this programme would be currently pursuing their Under Graduate Programme, they will have to update their status under Academic Details as “Results Awaiting”. However, there will be a provision to fill in the aggregate marks obtained till end of 2nd year (in case Candidate is currently pursuing a 3-year Under Graduate Programme) or till end of 3rd Year (in case Candidate is currently pursuing a 4-year Under Graduate Programme)

·         During Certificate Verification which is scheduled to be held between 03rd and 05th March 2020, the Candidates have to produce the Provisional Certificate or Consolidated Statement of Marks during Certificate Verification. For Candidates who had updated their Academic Details as “Result awaiting”, they will have to produce a letter from the Principal/University Authority that their results will be declared on or before 30.08.2020 and that the Candidate has no arrears till Last Semester.

·         The Candidate will have to give an undertaking on the day of Certificate Verification, that in the event of non-clearing of subjects and non-producing of the Provisional Certificate or Consolidated Statement of Marks by 30.08.2020, they will forgo the seat as well as fees (Counselling fees of Rs.10,000/, Programme Fees of Rs.25,000/- and Semester Fees) paid by them.

·         The Candidate will be required to submit the Provisional Certificate or Consolidated Statement of Marks on or before 30.08.2020, failing which the admission will stand cancelled and the Candidate will forgo the seat as well as fees (Counselling fees of Rs.10,000/, Programme Fees of Rs.25,000/- and Semester Fees) paid by them.
