About College:

Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the plantation sector through management education and training, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990 to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation sector. IIPM envisaged as a centre of excellence, to act as a think tank and an intellectual resource base for the plantation and associated agri-business sector. It is an exclusive sectoral school of management in Asia, based on a new model intensive institute-industry interaction. In November 1993, the institute was established as an autonomous educational institute of higher learning. Professional Certificate Program on Tea Tasting and Marketing (PCP-TTM) 12th Batch

Eligibility:

·         Graduate in any discipline, recognized by UGC/ AIUs/Foreign Universities.

·         Proficiency in written and oral communication in English is essential. Sponsored candidates by planters, plantation associations, Brokerages, tea manufacturers, tea buyers, Beverage sector and blenders will be given special consideration in eligibility norms.

·         Foreign Nationals/NRIs/PIO candidates can also apply.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview, psychometric test and blind (sensory) test on tea tasting, if required.

Course Duration

Certification

On successful completion of the program with eligible credits, the participants will be awarded Certificate Program on Tea Tasting and Marketing.

The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) located in Bhubaneswar has been brought under the fold of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India in August 2002. The institute was earlier under the administrative and financial control of Department of Science and Technology, Government of Orissa. The Osmania University, established in 1918, is the seventh oldest in the country, third oldest in South India and the first to be established in the princely State of Hyderabad.  Though the need for a university for the Hyderabad State was felt, both by the intelligentsia and the people for a long time, the initiative came from a civil servant, Sir Akbar Hydari, who was then the Home Secretary to the State Government.  Sir Akbar, in a Memorandum to the Education Minister in early 1917, emphasized the need to establish a University for Hyderabad with ‘Urdu’ as the medium of instruction “as it is the language of the widest currency in India, official language of the State, and it is a language which is understood by a vast majority of the population of the State.”  He believed that higher education must have its foundations deep in the national consciousness.

MANAGE was established in 1987, as the National Centre for Management of Agricultural Extension at Hyderabad, by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India as an autonomous Institute, from which its acronym ‘MANAGE’ is derived. 2.    The dully filled in application form along with photographs, fee and enclosures is to be sent by post / courier to the address provided in the application form.

4.    If a candidate fails to qualify for admission, fee deposited by him will be refunded

Refund of Fee:

70 percent of the fee will be refunded if admission is withdrawn within one month of the commencement of the program (the commencement date for each program is defined). After one month, candidate will not be entitled for any refund.

·         4-year Engineering degree, viz., B.Tech and B.E, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and  minimum 18 Months of relevant experience at the time of application;

·         Candidates with qualifications equivalent to MBA as approved by the Association of Indian Universities and Minimum 18 Months of relevant experience;

Qualifying Examination:

A candidate should have a valid test score not older than two years from the closing date of application in any of the following tests:

·         CAT conducted by IIMs (For all areas)

·         GMAT

·         GRE

·         GATE

·         UGC/JRF (other JRFs will not be considered)

·         PGDM of IIMs. (The candidates should have obtained the qualifying degree or diploma, not more than five years ago (For all areas)

* Non-Resident Indians, persons of Indian origin and other foreign citizens should have a valid GMAT/GRE score of not older than two years from the closing date of application.

In addition, candidates with 3 years of academic experience and not having any of the above test score may appear for Research Aptitude Test (RAT) to be conducted by IIM Rohtak for shortlisting.

IMPORTANT:

Those appearing for the final year of eligibility exams can also apply; but, their final selection will be subject to successful completion of the requirement. Such applicants should submit the required proof of their eligibility qualifications before joining the programme.

The respective Areas will decide its own choice of tests (one or multiple) from among the tests listed above. A candidate can apply to two Areas at a time on payment of admission fee separately. Therefore, getting shortlisted or selected in one Area will not guarantee shortlisting or selection in another Area. Further, if different Areas schedule the interviews on the same date and time, the candidate will be required to decide which Area interview s/he would attend and the candidate will not be entitled to claim any special consideration including rescheduling of interviews.

Candidates possessing PGDM of IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent will be eligible for applying directly (i.e., without again taking qualifying examination).

Wherever the total and/or the sectional scores of the qualifying examination mentioned above, the candidates should have scored at least 80 percentile in CAT, 85% in GATE in total to be eligible to apply for the FPM of IIM Rohtak. In case of GMAT, the minimum required score, must be 600 and be in the top15 percentile. The actual cut-off scores used by different Areas for shortlisting may, however, be higher than the scores mentioned as minimum eligibility.

Personal Interview:

The number of candidates to be called for interview in each Area will be decided by the Area. The shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview at IIM Rohtak or any other venue fixed by the Institute which will be mentioned in the call letter for interview. In the interviews, the candidates will be assessed for their intellectual capabilities, research aptitude and interest in the management discipline.

How to Apply:

Online Admission System: The Admission Forms can be submitted online (except for International Students) through Onlie Admission System at http://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in. Currently, the facility is available for the programmes offered through Common Prospectus except merit-based and entrance test based programmes. The prospective learners are required to create their user ID and password for logging in the system and upload the required documents along with the submission of the Admission Form. There is no need to send the printed copy of the Admission Form to the Regional Centre. The programme fee can be paid online using payment Gateway. Once the admission form is submitted online, the students can track the progress of their admission. A message is sent on the mobile number and email ID registered with the System once admission confirmed.

The prospective learners submitting the Admission Form through this System can download the Prospectus free from IGNOU website. However, an amount of Rs. 200/- is charged as registration fee along with the programme fee.
